I laid in his arms, yawning as the film credits rolled. He didn't move, and I leaned back to see he was fast asleep. I elbowed him as he frowned, rubbing his stomach.
He sighed as he cringed, knowing he was in trouble.
"Baby it's so boring. Plus you've already seen it a thousand times." He protested as I sat up, turning around to push him.
"Boring? The last thing that The Notebook is, is boring!" I yelled as I grabbed a pillow aiming it at his head. He caught it with ease as he rolled his eyes.
"Relationships aren't like that in real life." He argued, as he stood up, stretching his arms into the air.
I frowned, considering his words.
'What, they met in school, her parents dislike him so he goes off to war-"
"That wasn't his choice though." He pointed out, as he sank back onto the bed, a serious expression on his face.
"Then she meets someone else-"
"Instead of waiting for him." He added quickly, as I shot him a dark look.
"Then he returns back, shes about to get married-"
"But he kisses her in the rain after building her a house and they have the best sex ever, blah blah. Writers create books like this for saps like you." He grinned as I stared at him open mouthed.
"Why is that not realistic?" I demanded, choosing to ignore his insult.
"Because, my love, if I went anywhere, you'd wait for me. Plus I'd never build you a house." He smiled triumphantly as I rolled my eyes.
"I think its realistic."
"You would. You're a hopeless romantic. Remember that space film we watched and you sobbed your heart out for about a week?"
"Armageddon!" I yelped as I pointed at him. "Shut up now. You're becoming offensive."
"If you want real romance, stick fifty shades on. That shit is real." He smirked at me as he climbed over to me, kissing my neck softly.
"But that's unrealistic too! What are you on about De Luca?!"
"I surrender. Can we fuck now?"
I shot him a look as he pulled me back on the bed, causing me to squeal.
"Shut up and kiss me." He growled as I wriggled out of his grasp, looking at him seriously as he stopped moving.
"Uh oh. I know that look." He sighed as he collapsed back onto the bed.
"Theo, what happens now?" I said softly, as he stroked the palm of my hand with his thumb.
"Well, we go to college; fuck, get good grades; keep fucking, get a house..." He tapped his fingers on mine as he grinned.
"Which college though?" I asked quietly as he lifted my head up to his.
"Baby, where are you going?"
I chewed on my lip as I considered my mediocre grades. I didn't want to hold him back, considering he smashed his.
"Just the local one that follows on from our school." I admitted, avoiding his gaze.
"It's a good college."
"You can't go there." I said sadly, as he pushed his hand through his hair.
"I can go where I like." He scoffed as I looked at him seriously.
"Yeah, but I have to stay here. I can't afford the dorms anywhere else, plus my grades were merely average. We aren't all geniuses."
"I'm not a genius. You did well, stop putting yourself down." He murmured as he pulled me into his arms, kissing my head softly. "My parents want me to go to Brockly."
I froze, as I realised that was the furthest one he could've gone to. He rubbed my back as he kissed my head.
"But I'm not leaving you."
"Theodore." I said softly, my eyes filling with tears. "You can't not go and achieve your dreams because of me."
He tried to lift my head up but I refused, not wanting him to know I was crying. He sighed as I buried ny head into his chest, his arms wrapping around me.
"I'd never see you."
I swallowed, determined not to let him know I was upset. He was my best friend, and I couldn't let him miss this opportunity.
"Did you get accepted?"
"Yes." He admitted, as I shook my head.
"De Luca, you have to go."
"I choose you though." He argued, as I took a deep breath, finally sitting up.
"We can do long distant-"
"Fuck that." He snapped, his eyes studying me intently.
"I'm not leaving you!"
"Its not forever! We can still see each other-"
He held his hand up as he spoke, my heart aching at the sight of him.
"Its a different state, Hannah."
"Could you not control yourself?" I half laughed, as he stared at me.
"Of course I fucking could. It's you, Hannah. Always has been."
"So imagine our life if you achieved your dreams, Theo. You could open your own business! We could literally live the dream."
"I could study here-"
I sighed then, holding his hands between mine as I spoke.
"I love you. I want the best for you. Its me and you versus the world, right? What's a few years of long distance?"
The sadness in his eyes almost broke me. But I couldn't put my needs before his.
"I'll think about it." He muttered. "After we fuck."
Typical De Luca...
