Chapter 17- Confrontation

My breathing was coming in ragged gasps. I twisted my hands, tied securely above my head. I let out a soft moan as Jax’s tongue licked dangerously close to my clit. “Please,” I begged gently. I could only see darkness because of the blindfold over my eyes. My legs were bent at the knee and spread apart as Jax laid between them.

In response to my plea Jax dipped a finger into my slick passage as his tongue flicked out and hit my clit. I couldn’t stop the flexing of my hips. A groan escaped me. “Why do you have to torture me?” I whined.

Jax’s soft laugh puffed against my sex and I desperately wanted to clench my legs tight to still the ache between them. “When you ignore my messages for days you don’t deserve a quick orgasm.”

I whimpered. “I let you in now though.” His finger dipped into me as his tongue flick my throbbing clit again. My juices were leaking all over his finger and I could feel it trailing down my butt. I’d never been so turned on. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have shut you out.” He sighed against me, his fingers gently pulling in and out of me. I dug my heels in trying to flex myself to get him to go faster and deeper.

Jax places open mouthed kisses against my sex and thigh. My skin felt tight and hot. My bare nipples were hard and peaked. “I know your feeling guilty babe. I have been too. But we’ll talk to her ok.” I nodded, wanting this conversation to end. I didn’t want to think about Liv while I was on the brink of an orgasm.

“Jax please, let’s talk about her later. I just need you...” I bit my lip waiting impatiently. Finally I felt Jax’s fingers picking up pace as his tongue circled my clit, his mouth closing around it to suck it roughly. I cried out in pleasure feeling my orgasm roll over my body. My hips thrust in time to his fingers and I felt myself crash over the edge coating Jax in my release.

He trailed kisses up my naked torso until he came to rest his stiff cock against my soaking entrance. His hand came up and pulled my mask off as he pushed into me with a groan. My back arched as I tried to push him deeper into me. Pushing my knees back towards my chest Jax’s ribs ripples with each thrust into me. My lips parted on a soft moan and Jax bent down capturing it in his mouth.

“You are fucking addictive Sof,” he mumbled as his hips thrust faster. He shifted a bit causing the tip of his penis to hit me just right and I felt the knot in my abdomen descending between my legs.

“Oh god Jax I’m going to cum,” I panted.

“I’m counting on it babe,” he said with a cocky grin, hitting my spot just right over and over with his hard pounding into my body. With a scream I came hard, feeling my sex pulse to the beat of my heart. Jax groaned above me as he filled me with his releases he rested his body on top of mine and I felt snug and warm trapped under him.

After a few moments he reached up to untie me, rubbing my wrists and arms with his big hands. I felt relaxed and sluggish post orgasm. I rolled to my side, pushing my ass into the dip of his pelvis. He snuggled his face into my neck.

“Are you ready to talk now?” He asked softly. I closed my eyes.

“Listen Jax, she was really hurt. I’ve never seen Olivia so...broken. We did her wrong. I think you need to speak with her. I messed it up royally.” Jax nibbled gently at my ear.

“I think that’s a good idea. I owe her an explanation.”

I sighed, melting into him. This next part wasn’t going to go over well. “And I’m going to go see Spencer.” Jax instantly froze against me. “I need to explain this to him. He’s been my best friend since I moved here. We made a mistake sleeping together but I don’t want to lose him.”

Jax pulled back slightly. “You don’t owe him anything Sof. He’s tried to drive a wedge between us. Don’t you think it’s just better if you left it alone?” I turned in his arms, looking into his dark eyes.

“He’s my friend Jax. He deserves more than what I did to him just like Olivia. We’ve hurt them both in our process to find each other and now it’s time to make it fight. He looked at me for a moment before nodding slightly.

“Doesn’t mean I have to like it,” he grumbled as he rested his chin atop my head, his arms holding me tightly. I sighed softly into his chest.

“If this is going to work we need to do this.” We laid there silently for a few moments. Both of us lost in our own thoughts. Then Jax quickly flipped me to my stomach. His arm snakes around my waist pulling up up as he quickly knelt behind me. His other hand twisted my nipple roughly and I arched my back into his hand, feeling wetness instantly pool between my legs.

“Guess I’ll have to make sure you know who you belong to.” I pushed my ass against his growing erection wriggling slightly. I smiled to myself as I felt the head of his cock probing my entrance.

“Oh trust me, I know.”

“Ms. Sofia! Where have you been?” Kevin asked energetically. “We’ve missed your baking.” I smiled at the boy, handing him a box. I’d let the issues between Spencer and I affect the kids and I felt bad for it. I reached out to squeeze Kevin’s shoulder gently.

“Just some personal stuff Kev, but I brought your favorite.” His face lit up as he turned and carried the box into the community center. I followed behind him, both of us depositing our boxes on the folding tables. Kids were already piling into the room ready to pick a sweet treat. “Enjoy you guys,” I said, ruffling Kevin’s hair affectionately.

I slipped out the doors and down the hall to the offices. I stopped in front of the door with Spencer’s name on it. It was half open and with a gently rap of my knuckles I pushed it open. Spencer sat at his computer and glanced up when I pushed the door open. His mouth turned down into a frown.

“What are you doing here?” He asked coldly. I leaned against the door jam, slipping my hands into my jacket pockets.

“We need to talk Spence.”

He sighed and leaned back in his chair. With one hand he gestured to the chair across from his desk. Feeling like a disappointing pupil I slid into the hard seat. He stayed leaned as far away from me as possible, his blue eyes narrowed as he studied me. “I’m sorry Spence,” I said softly.

“You’re with him aren’t you?” He asked calmy. My palms felt sweaty and I rubbed them against my jeans. Licking my lips I nodded gently. He ran his fingers through his hair. “Why?”

I looked at him for a moment. “It just...feels right Spence. We’ve had this crazy connection since we met and I just...” I trailed off shrugging my shoulder. “I don’t owe you an explanation for choosing Jax, Spencer. But you are my friend and I love you and I don’t want to lose you. I came to let you know that and I hope we can work past it. I’m happy with Jax and that’s not going to change. I need you to accept that for this to work.” I stood suddenly, pushing my chair back with my legs. Tears began clouding my vison, blocking Spencer’s face from view. I wasn’t sure what I would do if he reacted badly like Olivia.

The room was silent for a while. I breathed deeply to clear my vision. Spencer had leaned forward at his desk, his hands cupped together, his chin resting atop them. Finally he spoke, his brow furrowed. “I’m sorry I put you in this position Sofia. I should never have come onto you after the concert. I knew you were torn up about Jax and Olivia. I took advantage of you and our friendship. I’m sorry.”

My mouth dropped open in shock. After everything with Olivia I had expected this to go badly. Spencer stood up and walked slowly around his desk. “You’ve been a great friend Sof, I’m sorry I didn’t return the favor. Can we start over?” He asked holding out his arms. A smile spread across my face as I walked into his embrace. He held me tightly and I squeezed him back. Warmth flooded my chest as I pressed my face into him. Things without my best friend had felt off. We’d never had a fight before and not having his support had been hard.

“I’ve really managed to mess things up for everyone,” I said on a harsh laugh. Spencer’s hand stroked my hair gently.

“You didn’t mess anything up Sof. You can’t help how you feel. And I’d rather have you in my life like this than not at all.” We stayed like that, my pressed tightly in his arms for a while. I felt his friendship enveloping me, not realizing how much it had taken from me to be apart from him these few weeks.

Someone cleared their throat by the door and my eyes snapped open. I expected it to be one of the kids but there stood Jax. Eyes wide I pulled away from Spencer. His arms dropping quickly to his sides.

“Hey babe,” I said softly, taking a step toward him. His eyes were narrowed and I could see the muscles in his arms clenched tightly.

“Seems you two have made up,” he said darkly. I took a few more steps to him until I could wrap my hands around his arm. The anger and tension radiated off of him.

“We talked and he knows we are together.”

Jax raised an eyebrow. “Does he.” He didn’t phrase it like a question. His arm snaked out to wrap around my waist and pull me closer to him.

Spencer shrugged slightly, his blonde hair flopping in front of his eyes. “Sofia’s been my friend for a while now. If she’s happy and taken care of then I’m cool.” He turned and say down I’m his office chair, returning to his work.

“Oh don’t worry, she’s well taken care of.” I stared at Jax, confused by the dark tone in his voice. “Come on Sof,” he said tugging me gently out the door.

“Bye Spence,” I barely managed to get out before Jax was leading me down the hall.

“Jax, slow down. I want to stop and say by to the kids.” Jax continued pulling me down the hall, his arm right around my waist. We exited the community center and stopped at the side of my car. Jax released me and I crossed my arms, anger building in me. “What the hell Jax?”

He ran his hand through his hair, pacing in front of me. “I could ask you the same thing Sof. I leave you with the bastard for a few minutes and your already snug in his arms!” He yelled.

I took a physical step back at his words. “He’s my friend Jax. I hurt his feelings and we made up. He gave me a freaking hug. I don’t need you to monitor all my relationships!”

“So you go around hugging every guy you’ve fucked?!”

“If they are my friend then yes!” I yelled, feeling heat flush my face.

“Sofia the man still wants you, can’t you see that?!”

“He’s my friend Jax and I won’t just drop him because you feel insecure.” Jax stood still for a moment, his eyes wide in shock.

“I don’t want you around him Sof and I mean it.” Jax stood his ground, his arms crossed to mimic mine. We faced each other. Our frowns matched as we faced off.

“I won’t cut people out of my life because I happened to have slept with them in the past. I’m with you and only you now. Isn’t that enough?”

Jax studied me for a moment. His chest rising and falling rapidly as we looked at one another. Some part of me understood that him seeing me in the arms of a man I had slept with had probably brought back memories of his ex wife. But I wasn’t her and I refused to be punished for her mistakes. “Jax please,” I said closing the distance between us. I rested my hand on his arm, my eyes pleading.

“Don’t you trust me?”

He pulled away slowly. I felt my heart falling as he softly said, “I don’t know.” With that he turned and climbed into his own car. I watched him drive away feeling the cold deep into my bones.
