Chapter 10

I got home and luckily for me, everyone was still asleep. I crept into my bedroom and closed the door behind me. I dropped my clothes to the ground and went and jumped into the shower. The memories of the events from last night were playing over and over in my head. I wrapped my arms around myself with a smile on my face. I couldn’t wait to touch him again. I turned the water off and stepped out and grabbed my towel. I wrapped it around myself and wipe the steam from the mirror. I looked at myself for a moment. I knew I felt different, but did I look different? I fell back onto my bed. The towel fell out of my hair. All I wanted to do was sneak into Lucas’s room.

The whole day turned out to be a grope fest between Lucas’s eyes and mine. We did our best to keep our feelings hidden from everyone around us, but as soon as there were moments where we were alone. We were all over each other. I walked down the hall to try and find him. I was suddenly pulled into the bathroom and his hands were all over my body. His lips were on my neck and my hands were in his hair. Our breathing increased and I wanted him so bad. It was amazing and I was loving the fact that we had to hide it. It made it even more exciting. My heart wanted to tell the world, but my body wanted to be his secret. His hand slid up my thigh and found my wet spot. “You're so ready for me Scar.” He whispered in my ear. I let out a little moan and called his name.

“God damn it Scarlet.” He growled out. Just then he slammed two fingers inside me. I covered my mouth as he danced inside of me. I gripped the bathroom sink with one hand and the other hand held on to him for dear life.

“Please Lucas, I can’t take this much longer,” I said as I bit my lip.

“Good, let it go.” He said and his words were my undoing. I lost it all over his hand. He pulled his fingers from me and held on to my jellied body. “Your mine tonight, meet me behind the pool house at one am.” He said as he left the bathroom. Oh my god, I said to myself. I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face. I met Jessica for lunch and she knew right off that something inside me was changed.

“What’s going on?” She asked me. I just sort of cocked my head at her.

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t give me that shit. What did you do?” I blushed and looked down.

“Scarlet Marie Addison, you had better start talking.” She said. I had to laugh. I mean I swear she was psychic.

“I slept with Lucas last night,” I said without looking at her. The look on her face was priceless.

“Start talking,” I told her how it all went down. I mean I didn’t go into great detail, but she got the drift of what I was saying. I also told her about our little bathroom scene as well. “Oh my god, this is so hot.” She said smiling.

“Jess!” I snapped.

“Well it is, come on Scarlet think about it. You’re doing your stepbrother behind everyone’s back. Not to mention he is an extremely fine piece of man. This is very sexy and hot.” She always had a way with words. That much I gave her.

“One more time Jess. He is not my brother.” I said.

“You know what I mean.” I just looked out the window and smiled again. “Do you love him?” She asked me.

“What makes you say that?”

“Because of the way your body and face react to us talking about him.”

“Yes, I’m in love with him and he loves me too,” I said.

“This is so exciting.” She crossed her arms. “Oh, by the way, I can’t find anything suspicious on the web with your stepfather’s company. The man is clean.” I took a deep breath.

“Something is not right between him and Lucas and I will get to the bottom of it,” I said.

“Well, just let me know if I can help you in any way, but I really just think it’s a father-son issue,” Jessica said.

“I don’t know, maybe. I still don’t like him keeping secrets from me.”

“I understand, if it was me I’d feel the same way.” We finished our lunch and I headed back home. I pulled up and Lucas was outside packing things into his truck. I got out of the car and walked over to him.

“What’s going on?” I asked him.

“I’m fucking out of here!” He hollered.

“What? What do you mean?” I said, starting to panic.

“You heard what I said Scar.” He snapped.

“No Lucas you can’t go. You can’t leave me.“ I grabbed his arm.

“Stop it Scar, I’m not staying in this house.” He snapped.

“Please tell me what’s going on.” I could feel the tears falling from my eyes. Just then Jack came walking out of the house. I turned my face away from them and walked off towards my car. I couldn’t let Jack see me upset.

“No Scar don’t leave.” Lucas snapped. I stopped in my tracks. I didn’t turn around, but I knew what he was about to do and this was the wrong way to do this. I turned slowly and looked at him.

“Where in the hell do you think you’re going?” Jack said as he made his way over to Lucas.

“I’m fucking out of here. I’m sorry I even came back."

“You’re fucking useless!” Jack snapped. I don’t know what came over me, but I just snapped.

“No Jack, Lucas is not useless. Stop telling him that!” I yelled. They both stopped and looked at me. “I don’t know what the hell is going on between you two, but stop putting your son down!” I yelled. That’s when my mother came out of the house with my little sister.

“Scarlet you stay out of it. Come inside.” My mother said.

“No, I won’t," I said as I walked over to Luca's side. “Whatever this is you both need to stop it. He is your son Jack.” I said. I felt Lucas’s hand go around my waist as he pulled me behind him. “Stop It,” I said to Lucas. I tried to move Luca's hand from me, but he held onto me tightly.

“Scarlet you need to take your ass inside and mind your own business when it comes to my son,” Jack said in a very heated voice. Before I could say anything Lucas spoke up.

“Don’t you fucking talk to her like that,” Lucas growled. Both Jack and Lucas came face to face.

“You had better realize who the fuck you’re talking to, son,” Jack said. Something about that statement bothered me more then it should of. I could see defeat on Lucas’s face and Lucas never backs down. What the hell was going on? I said to myself. Lucas turned and looked at me.

“Go inside Scar.” He said. I started to protest, but he just looked at me. “Please.” He said. I took a deep breath and looked at both of them. I turned and headed towards my mother and sister. I stopped halfway and looked back at them. They still were faced to face and I got scared. I walked past my mother into the house and I heard her close the front door. I waited until my sister had walked off and my mother came over to me.

“What’s going on mom?” I asked her.

“When it comes to Lucas and Jack you need to stay out of it.” She said not looking at me.

“MOM?” I said. She looked up at me. “I know you know something. What is it?”

“I’m sure I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She said.

“You have to be fucking kidding me.” I snapped.

“Scarlet, you watch your mouth.”

“I’m not a child mother, I’ll speak any way I please.” I snapped back. I never cuss and when I do it's few and far in between. “Tell me what’s going on between Jack and Lucas?” I said. My mother took a deep breath.

“I don’t understand why you care so much Scarlet, but trust me when I say just stay out of it,” she said and walked off. I couldn’t take this for much longer. Someone was going to tell me what the fuck was going on. I walked into the living room where I could see Lucas and Jack. They were in deep discussion still but I watched like I was trying to protect Lucas. I watched as Jack walked off towards the house and Lucas got into his truck and took off. My heart started to break as I watched Lucas leave. Jack came storming inside and stopped when he noticed me. I just sat there and looked back at him. He walked over to me and took a seat next to me.

“I’m so sorry I behaved that way towards you Scarlet. I have no excuse for my behaver.” He said.

“Jack, please just tell me what’s going on with you and Lucas,” I asked him softly.

“It’s nothing for you to worry about, but Lucas has some demons and he needs help, but he is refusing to let me help him. I can’t go into details with you. I’m sorry.” He said and tapped me on my knee and left the room. I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t know if Lucas would be back. I didn’t know anything. I pulled my phone out and sent Lucas a text.

“Please call me.” I hit send and waited, but I got nothing.

“I love you.” I hit send again. Still, I got nothing in return.
