Chapter 1
"Emily!! Wake up honey and happy birthday", I sat up rubbing my eyes.
"Good morning Mom and thank you. I Love you." I gave her a kiss on her cheeks.
"I love you too darling"
"Well, what time is it?" I slipped on the stupid fluffy shoes my mom bought for me.
"Uhhh... It's 7:45" It took me a while to process that. Our pack training started at 8 and being the alpha's daughter I had to be there everyday.
"What???? Why didn't you wake me up mom? I'll be late for the training."
"Honey, you're not going anywhere. It's your birthday. I have already told your dad that you won't be coming for the training today."
"So what if it's my birthday. I have to go for the training mom. I have to get ready."
"No you're not. You can skip the training for once right?"
"Mom you know that I won't listen to you. What's the point of arguing? I am going and that's final."
"Fine but you'll have to listen to me for the rest of the day. Okay ?"
"Okay. I promise. Now I have to go" saying that I ran towards the bathroom. After the bath I wrapped myself in a towel and walked into my wardrobe which was mostly filled with black clothes.
I chose a grey sports bra, black tank top and black leggings. I ran towards the training ground as soon as possible. Till the time I reached the ground the training had already started. I quickly scanned the ground for my father, Alpha Rodrick. I found him talking to my best friend and his beta, Steve.
I went up to my Father to hugged him tightly. "Happy Birthday my sweet Emy." "Thanks dad." I gave him a peek on the cheek. Soon everybody congratulated me. Soon I started with my training with Steve.
When we were children everybody thought that we were mates but as soon as Steve turned eighteen we knew that we were not. But that didn't affect us. We were still best friends. After that he took up his father's position as the beta and we started meeting more often. We practically spent all our time together.
Today I have turned eighteen. Soon I will find my mate. I heard it from my mom that a mate is like your other half, you can't live without him. At first I didn't believe her but after I saw my parents even I wanted someone like my dad who loved me soo much.
