The next day in class...

“Zachary! Where were you yesterday?” I shoved Zach on his side

“I didn’t want to come to class. I just wasn’t feeling well.” Zach looked back at Amelia.

Amelia was wearing a red sun dress with white flowers. It hugged her curves and flowed down, exposing her toned legs. Her chest was exposed just enough. Zach then remembered homecoming last year.

Amelia wore a black tight dress. It was long sleeves, backless, with black lace holding the front fabric to her body. It would make anyone’s imagination run wild, specially Zach’s. She paired it with gold flower earrings. She put eyelashes on, and red lipstick. She popped on some highlight, and her natural beauty glowed.

“Amelia ready?” Jess yelled from the kitchen.

Marvin was in the kitchen hugging Jess from behind.

“She’s always like this.” Zach said frustrated

Amelia walked down the stairs, with her purse and heels in her hand.

“Damn! Dakota is going to be so pissed.” Jess winked at Amelia

“You look great Amelia!” Zach said

Zach turned around and shifted around in his chair. Fixing his excitement in his pants.

The night was long. Music was blasting from the speakers in the gymnasium. Everyone singing from the top of their lungs. They danced around in a group, Jess was dancing on Marvin, Zach and Amelia were dancing next to each other. Then someone grabbed Amelia from the hips, it was Anthony. A senior. Amelia then began dancing on him, grinding her hips on him, moving to the beat of the music. A blonde girl then approached Zach and began dancing on him. Zach looked over at Amelia. Just then Emily and Dakota appeared.

“Dakota is looking at you.” Jess yelled over the music

Amelia looked around and saw that Emily was dancing on Dakota. His hands on her hips. Emily was smiling, she knew that Amelia was looking. But there was something that Amelia knew that Emily couldn’t do. A circle began forming around Amelia and Anthony. Cassidy and Lexi joined her in the center with their partners. Amelia looked back at Anthony, and winked at him. Anthony was ready, Amelia bent over and went on all fours. Twerking to the rhythm, as everyone began to cheer and help Anthony stay on his feet. Amelia felt the girls slapping her ass, a way to say you go girl. Cassidy and Lexi joined in. Amelia then began to feel her feet lift off the floor. She was on her hands and continued to work her magic. She came back up and leaned back grabbing Anthony’s face with a smile.

“You’re fucking amazing Amelia!” Anthony whispered into her ear.

Amelia searched the crowd, Emily was grinding on Dakota. But he seemed uninterested. He was staring at Amelia, with straight face. Amelia pretended to laugh at what Anthony had said. Dakota then whispered into Emily’s ear and left the crowd. Emily chasing after him.

It was 10 minutes before class started, and Austin walked in. His backpack over his shoulder. He was tall, with green blue eyes. Brown hair, and average build.

“Hey Austin! You’re in this class too!” Zach yelled out to Austin.

Jess looked over at me. I immediately looked back down pretending to be on my phone. This can’t be happening I thought to myself. I began to feel my face feel warm, turning bright red, I shifted my body towards Jess.

“Uh, yeah. Can I sit with you guys?” Austin said shyly

“Of course man! This is Jess and Amelia!”

Austin gave a small smile, which Jess returned. Noticing that Amelia didn’t look up to acknowledge him.

The bell rang.

“Okay class, as a way to get to know each other, you will be working in groups today. You won’t be needing your textbook today. But by next week please have it for class. The worksheets are both front and back! Please introduce yourselves to one another and begin excersise 1. At the end, we will be going over the answers together. I won’t ask groups to share but be prepared to do so in class in the future.”

“Amelia, are you okay? You’re still really red...” Jess whispered to Amelia in her ear

“Fuck fuck, you know how I get.”

“Here, I have some gum.”

“Thanks.”

They all began to work together as a group. Zach took the lead. Austin talked very little but offered his input when needed. Occasionally they would go off track, causing laughs to fill the room. Amelia catching glances at Austin. His laugh giving her butterflies in her stomach. She didn’t know anything about him but his name. But wow was he making her go crazy.

“Hey guys, my name is Owen, my group really isn’t being helpful, mind if I join you?”

“Sure, we are done with our work, but what questions do you have?” Zach asked.

They began to get to work to help Owen finish the excersise.

“So Amelia, are you single?” Owen asked.

“Yeah, but I’m not looking.” I replied. I looked up at Austin who was on his phone. If only he knew, he was the one I was looking for.

The bell run and everyone left to go to their next class.

“Hey Amelia, wait up!” Zach called out.

I turned around, and shifted towards the lockers getting out of the way from everyone.

“Are you okay?” Zach asked.

“Yes.” I replied.

“Amelia, look at me. Owen just tried to flirt with you and you immediately turn him down?”

“What?” I stared at him in disbelief

“I didn’t mean it like that. But you usually follow up with some funny flirty comment. Is this because of Dakota?”

“Omg no! He moved on and so will I! It’s not that, can I be honest with you?”

“Nah.”

“I’m interested in Austin.”

“I was hoping you would say you were interested in me but okay I’ll take it.”

“Shut up!” I laugh.

“I mean he’s a really nice guy, but he’s not like the other guys you’ve been with.”

“You make me sound like a slut, I have only been with one guy. You know Emily started the rumors so she could keep Dakota.”

“Well, just wait to see what happens, you just met the guy, give it a couple weeks or months and I’ll help you be on his radar. But Amelia, from what I know, he’s never dated or slept with any girl.”

“He’s different. It’s a different energy. I don’t know, I want him. I mean yeah he’s attractive, but he’s smart, and has a cute laugh. I actually want to get to know him for who he is.”

“Amelia, I will help you with him. But he’s also my friend so be careful. And I mean this as a friend, but just remember what people have said about you. I mean you’re one of the most popular girls. You’re not popular because of who you hang out with, but because of you’re personality. You are almost every guys dream girl. You have the entire boys soccer team drooling over you. Every girl wants to be you. They’re jealous of you, and because of that some start rumors about you. I’ve heard some pretty bad things about you. And I always tell you about them. Jess and I know the real you. I know so many guys that would be happy to date you, and some only get you in bed because of the things that have been said about you. But don’t let what happened with Dakota happen again. A real, genuinely interested guy will want to know the real you, not the one depicted by false rumors. A lot of people know of you, not necessarily know you. I will help with Austin but please don’t get your hopes up too high.”

“Thank you.” I replied.
