I walked past Draco who moved out of the way for me. My heart was going a million miles a minute. I knew he was going to lose it. I kept walked until I felt him take my arm. His grip was tight. He pulled me all the way up to our bedroom. “You just don’t fucking get it do you?” He said as he slammed the bedroom door shut. He turned and smack me across the face. I backed up and took a seat in a chair. “I guess you need another lesson.” He started to pull his belt off. I knew what was coming.

“Draco, no.” His arm went into the air. “I’m pregnant!” I hollered out. His eyes went big and his arm lowered.

“Fucking liar.” He hissed out.

“It’s true, ask the doctor.” He eyed me for a moment. Then he dropped his belt and left the room. Locking it from the outside. I started to pace the room. Had my actions cost me my son’s life? I’m had no idea where he was or even how to get out of this room alive. Hours turned into days. I had no idea what was going on. I haven’t seen Draco. A maid brings me food and says nothing to me.

It had been about four days when the door opened and two men I had never seen before came into the room. They had suitcases and started to toss all my things into them. “Get dressed.” One of them snapped at me. I got up and did as I was told. I felt there was no point in fighting at this moment. I was escorted out to a line of cars. I got into one of them and Draco was already sitting in. I sat still waiting for him to say something to me.

Draco said nothing all the way to the airport. I knew at that moment we were moving again. All I did was shake my head. We got out of the car and I still didn’t put up a fight. I followed Draco onto the jet. I looked around and there was my son. Sitting on the couch playing with some toys. He looked up and reached out for me. I walked past Draco and took a seat next to him. He came into my lap and I held on for dear life.

Draco walked over to me and whispered in my ear. “That’s for behaving.” I nodded at him. I didn’t want Nicolas taken from me again. I was just so happy to know he was alive. The flight ended up being a long one. No one on the jet said a word to me. Draco looked over at us a couple of times, but nothing was ever said. I knew most of the men that were on the jet, but a new man stood out to me. I would guess this man was closer to my age than to Draco’s. He stayed close to Draco. He was even in the car with us.

Draco stood up and I thought he was going to come over to me. Instead, he went into the private cabin. After a few minutes, the man got up and came over to me. He stood there a moment and then he took a seat. He sat there just looking at me. “Can I help you?”

“I just thought that maybe we should get to know each other.”

“And why is that?” Nicolas was asleep in my arms. I turned and laid him down on the couch. Then I turned back to face this man. Draco’s men coming onto me was something I was used to. Even when Draco would find out and I never saw that person again.

“I’ve been hired to watch you.”

“Oh, so you’re the new guard. Did you hear what happened to my last new guard?”

“I did, that won’t happen to me. I won’t be taking you out and following you around. I’m just here to watch.” I looked at him for a moment.

“What’s your name?”

“Owen.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Owen. I’m sure you know my name.” He nodded his head at me. Owen looked towards the cabin door.

“What’s your story? I know what Draco has told me, but you don’t look like a happily married woman.” You have to be kidding me. That’s what Draco told him?

“Not if you think being forced and held against your will, being a happy thing.” His eyes got big but he stayed quiet for a moment.

“This that his son?” All I did was shake my head no. This didn’t seem to fit well in Owen’s eyes. Maybe this man wasn’t so bad. Maybe he was innocent and had no real idea of why was going on. Maybe he thinks I’m lying. Who knows, but I chose not to give him a hard time.

The seatbelt sign came on and I knew we were landing. I took a look out the window. I recognized New York right away. Oh my god, Draco has Brought us back to America. My heart skipped a beat and I smiled, but I also couldn’t help but wonder why? Was he here to take out the rest of Ryders members? I couldn’t worry about that. I had to stay focused and take care of keeping my son safe at all costs.

We ended up on the outskirts of the city. We pulled up in front of a large house. I followed Draco out of the car. I had Nicolas in my arms. Owen followed behind us. Instead of us going upstairs. Draco opened a door that had a staircase that leads down. I looked at Draco who just pointed down. I did as I was told and at the bottom of the stairs. We were met with another door. A large steel door. I knew exactly what was happening and I started to panic. “Please, I will be good. I promise you I won’t give you any more problems.” Draco just looked away from me and opened the door. Tears fell from my eyes. I held onto my son and walked into the room.

I was surprised to see the room was completely decorated. If you wouldn’t have known it was in the basement. You would have thought you were just in a really nice bedroom. It had a queen size bed dressers and a tv. A closet and a bathroom with a large tub. I looked around the room and I knew at that moment that my son would be staying with me. He had his own side of the room. Completely covered in toys and a small twin size bed. The only thing was there were no windows. My bags were placed in the bed and I knew this was now my prison. Draco left and Owen pulled out a set of keys and left the room locking it behind him. I just sighed and set Nicolas down. He took off towards all his new toys.

I decided to move the room around to my liking. I turned the tv on and I knew I had no Service. There was a DVD player, but I didn’t see any movies. Once I started going through things. I found a cabinet that was full of movies. Most of them were children’s films. Lots of Disney. Whatever, I pulled out cars and turned it on. It was way too quiet in here. I needed some noise. Lunch and dinner were brought to us and I knew this was going to be routine.

Owen didn’t really say too much at first, but I found out he had his own room down here and was on watch twenty-four hours. He was the only one allowed inside my room. Besides Draco, who I haven’t seen since we arrived. I was fine with that. Owen let me know that if there was anything I needed all I had to do was write it down. Besides normal necessities, I asked to keep snacks on hand for Nicolas. A mini-fridge was given to us and I was kept with milk and water bottles. They also gave us a shelf covered in different kinds of snacks. The shelves had a door that I could lock so Nicolas couldn’t get in. I had the key to it.

I guess I should be happy. Things could be a lot worse. Draco was leaving me alone. I wasn’t being used or beaten and I had my son. I did my best to behave myself. That was until one night just after Nicolas had fallen asleep. Draco came to me. I had just laid down with a movie. When he unlocked the door and came in alone. I sat up in the bed and pulled the blanket up to my chest. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to hurt you. Why did you try to leave knowing you were carrying our baby? You can be honest I won’t hurt you.”

“I want...” I stopped talking. I was scared to make it clear that I wanted out. I was scared he was lying to me.

“Go ahead, Danica.” I took a deep breath.

“I just want to leave. I don’t want you. I never have.”

“So you wanted to take my kid away from me?” I had no idea how to answer that. “Even being pregnant with my child. Gives you no feelings for me?” I just shook my head no.

“Draco, look at everything you have done to me. How can I fall for you? You’re my uncle for crying out loud. My family.” I knew he fucking hated it when I brought up the whole uncle thing, but he asked me to be honest. Draco stood up and I prepared myself for whatever was next. As if I hadn’t said a word. Draco started talking. “I have set up an exam room down here for you to see the doctor while you’re pregnant. Owen or I will be with you during your visits.”

Those were the only words he said as he turned and left. I laid back in my bed and turned to my side. I called out to Ryder. Hoping that wherever he was. He could hear me. “I love you,” I said and closed my eyes.
