I found Cordel siting in the waiting room. He looked horrible. "They won't let me see her." He said. I just sighed.

"She is awake." He shot his face up and looked at me. "It's not good, she don't remember."

"Don't remember what?"

"Us." He stood up and started to pace the room. "Cordel, please man sit down."

"You have to be kidding me. Nothing about us?"

"It seems like all she can remember is when she got to America. She remembers meeting me, but that all." Cordel took one look at me and left the room. I didn't have the strength to go after him. It had been over an hour before I saw her father again. He looked so tired.

Carolina's POV,

I opened my eyes to this beautiful man sleeping next to me. I watched him for a moment trying to remember who he was. Then I remembered his name and that my father hired him to protect me. MY body and head hurt and I couldn't remember what had happened. I tired to stay calm. Then he looked up at me and I relaxed right away. His hand was holding mine. I gave him a smile. He talked to me for a moment and then he left the room. I looked around and reached up to touch my head. I felt the pain and moved my hand away. What the hell happened to me?

That's when my father and brother came rushing into the room. "Carolina, princess. How do you feel?"

"When did you get to america daddy?" They both stopped and looked at me.

"Baby, your home in Italy." My father said.

"But, that can't be. I just got here." I was starting to panic and my brother wasn't looking at me. "Daddy, what's going on?" He told my brother to go and find a doctor. He came and took a seat next to me. He told me all about the accident. Its been over two years since I had been home from America. I didn't remember any of it. I was doing my best to calm down. The doctors came into the room and after a long time of blood taking and conversations about my head. I was finally alone in the room with only my father. "I don't remember anything."

"I know sweetheart, but you will be okay now and with time maybe you will remember. Umm, Carolina there's somethings I need to talk to you about." I looked up at him.

"There's more?" He nodded at me. He started to tell me all about Nash and a man named Cordel. It was a lot to take in and then he started to tell me about DeAngelo. "You'r crazy, I wold never marry him." He just looked at me. "What the fuck happened to me? I'm telling you daddy, I don't love DeAngelo."

"I'm sorry princess, but that's whats going on."

"I want to see Nash and Cordel, please." He nodded at me and left the room. A few seconds later these two huge men came walking into my room. They stood at the end of my bed. Both men looked tired and stressed out. I remember Nash, but only a little. Cordel was a stranger, but my father said I was with them both. I cocked my head at them. "I'm sorry, I don't remember you." Cordel just sighed.

"It's okay princess." Nash said.

"I can't do this." Cordel said and left the room. My face fell, I was doing my best. Nash came over to my side and took my hand in his. I felt the electricity between us the moment he touched me. I turned my head and looked at him.

"Something is not sitting well with me. I have a bad feeling."

"What about?"

"DeAngelo." I watched has Nash's face started to turn red. "I would never marry him Nash, something is not right. I can feel it inside my bones."

"I promise you he will stay away from you. Or I'll kill him with my own hands." I reached out and touched his face. He closed his eyes and pushed his face into my hand.

"You were special to me, right? He nodded his head but didn't move away from me. I ran my finger down his face. "I can feel it. Will you stay with me?" He opened his eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere."

"I don't feel safe." Just then the door flew open and DeAngelo came running in. Nash stood up and pushed him against the wall. DeAngelo was trying to go for his gun. My brother and a few men caming running in and grabbed Nash. DeAngelo ran to my side. I just kept my eyes on him.

"She don't want him in here!" Nash yelled out.

"Is that true baby?" DeAngelo said. I looked away from him and my brother let Nash go. He came back to my side and pushed DeAngelo away from me.

"I need to talk to my sister." Donta said. "That means leave DeAngelo. DeAngelo got pissed and took off out of the room.

"I'll be right on the other side of this door." Nash said and winked at me. My smile got huge.

"Really sis, your still that fond of him." I looked at my brother.

"I don't know what it is, but he makes me feel safe. I don't want DeAngelo around Donta, something is not right."

"What do you mean?"

"There is no way I would marry him."

"Well you came to dad and told him you loved him and wanted to marry him." I laid back in the bed. I knew something wasn't right. but fuck, I couldn't remember.

"Please send Nash back in here." My brother shook his head. "Do you not like Nash?"

"You should ask him about the two of you, and i don't dislike him. Actually, he is a good man." He smiled at me and walked out of the room. Nash came walking back in. I smiled at him.

"Is that smile for me?" He asked.

"Nash, can you tell me about us?"

"I come out bad in this story."

"Did you hurt me?"

"I might have but you hurt me too." I tried to sit up a little. Nash started to tell me about us.

"No way Nash, I would never try and have two men at once."

"Yes you did naughty girl." I was taken aback. I'm not that kind of girl.

"Stop it Nash." He laugh and just looked at me.

"It's true, you want me to get Cordel." I just shook my head no.

"Wait, so that show I hurt you?" I turned my face away form him. "I'm sorry Nash."

"Hey, it was a long time ago. Let's not think about that now." He said as he took my hand into his. Okay, so my life is a mess. I said to myself closing my tired eyes. A week later and nothing had changed in my head. I was getting ready to go home and Nash has been by my side since I woke up. DeAngelo stayed away form me as per my request. My hair has been cut to my shoulders, but other then that. I'm doing good.

"Nash, I can put on my own socks." I said as I sat on the edge of my bed with him between my legs.

"I like helping you."

"Come on Nash, I can do this on my own." Nash put his hands up and moved away from me.

"I didn't mean you had to move. I just meant I could put my socks on."

"No, no princess. You do you." I just shook my head and finished putting my socks on.

"Has Cordel been around?" Nash cocked his head at me.

"Would you like me to get him."

"No, I just feel like I hurt him as well and it don't sit well with me is all." Nash smiled at me.

"Maybe you should talk with him."

"I don't know, maybe. Not right now. I'm really tired." Nash walked over and pulled a chair next to my side of the bed. I turned the light off and held his hand as I fell asleep.
