Chapter 6

Damon saw me walking toward him and I swear he looked like he wanted to run. I wasn’t that intimidating, was I?

“Hey, you came!” I greeted warmly, giving him my sexy smirk.

“Y-yeah,” he stuttered, “but, I’m not sure why.”

“Would you like a drink?” He nodded to my question and I grabbed his hand, pulling him through the crowd toward the kitchen.

We were getting some strange looks and a few of the guys even insulted him as we passed. I didn’t correct them and just kept pushing forward. Once we were in the kitchen, I turned to face him and came chest to chest with him, making me inhale a sharp breath. I never really took notice of him before now and wish I kind of had.

He was much taller than I noticed before and maybe it was because he was standing straighter? Or, maybe it’s because I’m drunk. Whatever. I stepped back from him and grabbed us both a drink. But as I sipped on mine, I stared at him over the rim of the cup. I still couldn’t see his face and that was driving me crazy. I just took a bet with my friends to fuck this guy and I had no idea what he even looked like. What if he was completely fucking ugly? I’d turn the bet down in a heartbeat if that was true. I may sleep with just about any guy, but they still had to look good. I did have standards.

“Come on, it’s too loud to talk here.” I grabbed his hand and tugged him along again. We went up the backstairs and I pulled him into my bedroom, shutting the door behind us. “Damn, it’s loud out there tonight.”

He wasn’t saying a word, just stood there sipping on his drink while he looked around at my bedroom.

“You don’t talk much, do you?” I asked, sitting on the edge of my bed.

He shook his head and continued to stand there.

I reached down and began to unstrap my heels, making sure to be sexy about it. Running my fingers seductively over my bare calf and up underneath my skirt. Damon shifted from one foot to the other, clearly trying to avert his eyes.

“Why don’t you come sit next to me?” I patted the spot next to me and after several silent moments, Damon slowly made his way over toward me.

He sat down and kept his eyes forward. This was going to be way too much fun. If he was a virgin, I was going to enjoy taking that v-card from him. Virgin men were the most fun because I got to ruin them.

“What’s your story, Damon?”

Again, he said nothing, but this time I could see his eyes move to look at my legs and a smirk pulled at my lips. He might be a weird guy, but he wasn’t blind.

“Do you like what you see?” I rasped out, running my fingers over my bare legs again. This time, though, I pushed my skirt up further and let him get a peek at my black, silk panties.

He jolted up from the bed and rushed toward the door, but I was faster. I jumped in front of him and blocked his escape route.

“What’s wrong? Am I making you uncomfortable?”

He kept his head down but his breathing had picked up.

“Hey,” I whispered, reaching up to grab his hat. I needed to see what he looked like.

His hat went flying and out of surprise, he looked up at me and I swear I lost all the air in my lungs. He had the most gorgeous aqua blue eyes I’d ever seen and his five o’clock shadow made him look older and sexier than I ever imagined.

We stood there staring at one another for a long moment before I instinctively reached up and brushed his dark brunette hair from his face. He was still hidden from me and I wanted to see the whole package. If just his eyes and jaw made me feel this affected, I wanted the whole picture.

He didn’t stop me when I reached up with both hands and tucked his hair behind his ears.

Fuck, he’s gorgeous! Why does he hide all of this?!

“Oh,” I accidentally let out my surprised reaction.

He must have taken it the wrong way because he stepped away from me and pulled his hair back in front of his face.

“Wait,” I started, stepping forward to stand in front of him again, “Don’t hide...”

He froze, staring up at me through hooded eyes as I reached forward and brushed his hair away again. Looking at him made my heart thunder in my chest. I had never seen a more attractive guy in my life and I didn’t want to stop staring.

“Your eyes,” I whispered as he tried to look away from me again, but I grabbed his chin and held him steady. There was so much going through my head at the moment but the only thing that made sense was to lean forward and kiss him. I wanted to taste him and feel his plump lips against mine.

And so that’s what I did.
