Rae has been in and out of homes since she was seven years old. Finally at 17, going on 18 she gets a home. However, its not quite what she thought it would turn out to be. Josh Rosenberg has been looking for someone to take in and take care of. Often going to orphanages with no luck until he visits the SunnySide orphanage.

Prologue

I walk downstairs while all the other girls, ages 14-18, run down the stairs. As I reach the bottom I see all the other girls lined up. I assume it is adoption day because that's the only time they actually care to come down here.
As we line up I see a few girls chatting and then some squealing. Why? It is probably just another couple coming here to look at us and chose someone to adopt. At least or so I thought that was the case, until I heard a deep voice quiet everyone of us.
"Ladies this is Mr. Rosenberg or Josh as he prefers. He is going to chose one of you to adopt and take home." Says our crazy adoption lady.
He nods at what she says and then walks down the line, observing each and every one of us, from top to bottom. I thought he was going to continue onto Marlene, the girl next to me with bigger boobs, but instead stopped in front of me. That was a big surprise, maybe he is just observing me then will move on, I thought.
Nope, that was not the case for me.
He smiled then walked away heading back towards the adoption lady.
Well maybe this was a waste of time.
I started to walk away but was stopped by a hand on my wrist. I turn to see Mr. Rosenberg holding onto my wrist. What does he want? He smiles and pulls me towards him. He then pulled me towards the adoption lady's office. Why me?
The other girls left once he did that. Did this mean I was going to get adopted?
If so, why me then?

William Elliott Kern: Long story, the plot uncovered midway through the story. From beginning, the story was fast moving. Then dragged on for quite some time. The Author was good in describing her characters, their clothing, etc. but a lot of that disclosure distracted from the story moving fast. Not withstanding, the...

aoifecollopy22: I loved how the author had the conflict come back later in the story. Also how they passed time without going over anything. That really helped move the story along. This kept my up for a few hours. YOU SHOULD READ THIS
