CH. 61: RACHEL
It didn’t make any sense. Why was Jennifer answering the door? Why was she here? How long has this been going on? Rachel barges into the room, shoving Jennifer out of the way.
“Hey!” Jennifer yells.
Rachel sets the baby on the disheveled bed and whirls on her. “You’ve got a lot of nerve, you fucking cunt! Just what exactly is going on here!”
Andrew appears behind her wrapped in nothing but a white towel.
“And you!” she screams, pointing her finger at him accusingly. “You’ve got a lot of explaining to do!”
“Jennifer told me everything,” he says calmly.
Her head snaps backward. She stares daggers at the red-headed slut standing at the other end of the room.
“You said it yourself, Rache… You don’t even like men. You tried to seduce me back in Washington.”
Her mouth falls open.
“Rachel,” Andrew says. “What was I supposed to do. You were just using me.”
She shakes her head.
“You aren’t innocent in this,” he says, sitting down next to Victra. “What would your father think of you?”
“Of me!” she retorts incredulously. “What would he think of you cheating right after marrying me!”
“He’d likely understand once I tell him about your sexual deviancy—First Heather, then Jen. How do I know there aren’t more?”
Her mind races a mile a minute. How could this be happening? It didn’t make any sense. “How long has she been here?”
“I flew in yesterday,” she claims, her tone unconvincing.
“I don’t believe a damn word you say,” she spits.
“Before or after our fight?” She stares hard at Andrew, his vacant expression only angering her more.
“I knew about your betrayal well before the ceremony. I needed something to ground me, and Jen was the only one who could do that.”
“I’m your wife!”
“It’s healthy to gain an outsider’s perspective.”
“I’m not an outsider anymore,” Jennifer corrects. “Are you going to tell her or should I?”
