Third Person P.O.V
“Acdi!” Atlantis shouted, as the rainwing swept out of the small hut on the forest floor. “Where are you going?”
“I’m leaving!” Acdi shouted back. “I’m tired of the cold and rocks.” Her scales shifting to angry red. “I’m going home.”
“What about the egg.” he hissed.
“I don’t care,” she snapped, “I never wanted it” Atlantis stared at her in shock. “I never wanted any of this.”
“How could you.” He snarled. “You wanted to come here.”
“No, you wanted me to come here.” she sighed.
“Fine.” Atlantis said looking away, “Go then.”
Adci turned and threw on last glance at her mate and unhatched egg before flying away. Away from the cold lake and high mountains. Away from little family. Flying home to the rain forest.
Atlantis watched his little egg roll around on the floor of his hut. It had been 4 week since Adci abandoned them. He had been trying to forget his unfaithful mate. But now all of his attention was on his little egg. It was the brightest night, at first he had wondered if his dragonet was going to be part of the prophacy, but his mother had told him it was all fake, the prophacy. and his dargonet was a hybrid anyway.
The cracking sound pulled him out of his musings. He glanced down at the egg. It had rolled into the moonlight streaming from the window. Atlantis watched transfixed as a tiny dragonet pushed it's way out of the egg.
The little dragon was a shimmering white with dark purpleish blue underbelly. But what really caught his attention was her wings. Instead of scales like all dragons her's were the same color as her underbelly and feathered.
"Sweek!" the dragonet exclaimed.
"Hello there little one." Atlantis murmered. As he watch her, she reached her little talons out and pressed her snout to his. Slowly he felt himself relax, his jumbled thoughts calming. Atlantis felt happy for the first time since Adci left.
"Soul." he whispered. "That is your name."
