Light Prevails

By Ashheart15

Thriller / Adventure

Prologue

Cinderpelt's POV

From Starclan I watched my kits settle into clan life and I watched Firestar grieve for me. The knowledge of what dark motions I had set in place by bringing my kits to Thunderclan weighed heavily on my shoulders.

There was a rustle behind me and Yellowfang emerged to sit beside me. At the pool by my paws I watched Flamestorm and Cinderheart sharing tongues.

"Cinderpelt, whatever happens to our beloved clan now it is not your fault. You had no way of knowing that Sandstorm would vow revenge on Firestar and all his kin" I glanced towards the gray she-cat who had been my mentor and best friend for almost all of my life.

"It may not have been my fault but now the whole clan will suffer because of my choices and my kits are not safe" Bluestar's scent wreathed around me as the blue-gray she-cat sat on my other side.

"Starclan will do all in our power to keep Firestar and your kits safe" the pool rippled and the image dissolved, as I turned away Bluster whispered in my ear.

"Light will prevail Cinderpelt, it always does, the darkness will not touch your kits" I nodded and slipped away towards my den in the Medicine Cat area.

Spring: I normally don't read fiction novels, but I absolutely enjoyed reading Silent Shadows! The style is quite different from the previous fiction novels I've attempted to read. Great job!

DarkSide Consulting: This was the first book I have read on the Inkitt app so far. It had me hooked from the start. I loved the first person dialogs and how the Creepypasta Characters fit perfectly in their scenes and how they acted and reacted. Don't worry about the grammar in a story like this because I wouldn't...

Chris Rolfe: BOY!!! I sure love what Aer-Ki Jyr did with this series. IMHO he captured the essence of what stargate is all about. Thru out the Stargate stories Aer-Ki wrote Stevens and John Shepard some of the main characters in his stories are pursued by a corrupt I.O.A.. All the while Stevens is changing in...

kim: This is great! Maybe it could just be a little more specific. One of the keys to great writing is describing things in detail. I think you're off to a great start. I wish you much luck.

Dru83: This is the second or third time I've read this one and I just love it. It has just about everything you could ever want packed into one scifi story. It still has some parts that are a little rough in terms of grammar, punctuation, and word usage, but it's still an awesome story. I love how detai...

Dru83: This is perhaps my favorite part of the Olafson story just because it is here that were are introduced to his "gang". The characters are so diverse and complicated that each of them could just about spawn their own story. Eric's buddies are just so captivating and the plot just rolls along. Again...

GeorgeS: The author has a VERY refreshingly direct writing style. Sometimes being punched in the gut (or nose, as the case may be) can be an excellent thing, indeed. Whatever may be lacking in subtlety is more than made up for in the diamond clarity of character development. I look forward to MORE. I c...

dd1226: I love reading about other countries and I think this story about Cambodia after Polpot creates awareness of the tragedy that happened there and the actions of the U.N. to hold elections. The heroine of the story is easy to relate to, a modern, middleaged woman looking for an adventure, wanting t...

Tiffany Thomson: This story is not something I would normally pick up and read but I'm so glad I did, I wasn't able to put it down and my husband was yelling at me at 3am to put it down and go to bed (just waited for him to doze back off before picking it back up) I really hope Natalie brings out another book eit...

JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real. The fight sequences are a treat especially when Isanfyre is training to become a warrior. I found the names really cool and thankfully easy to pronounce. Personally I have always struggled w...

CookieMonster911: The story overall was an adventure that is appealing to any age. The way the characters develop adds a more human characteristic to the novel. The writing style itself is amazing because you can learn every character's thoughts and emotions. The awkward love triangle and jerk moments adds to the ...

MegaRogueLegend666: I love this story so much. It's impossible to describe my excitement with each new chapter in words. The author has such a good writing style, very good descriptions of the fighting and character descriptions/emotions. the plot is also amazing! This fanfic could be a side anime show or novel ......

Carolyn Hahn-Re: I really liked this story! The writing was well done, and the plot was suspenseful. I couldn't stop reading chapter after chapter, on the edge of my seat! The characters were well developed, and true to form. Thank you so much for this wonderful read.
