Chapter 1

Taking a deep breath, Harry slowly walked into the Great hall. Things had been wildly different, especially with the revelation of his new nature.

Harry was an unknown, something that there was no information on. The only one who seemed to know anything, a strange alien named the Doctor.

Walking up to his friends, he sat quietly. Being an unknown wasn't the only thing on his mind. He wasn't a Gryffindor anymore, he was more than that. He was all houses, the only one in over ten hundred years. Something that no one thought could ever exist.

"Hey, Harry? You alright?" Susan asked tilting her head lightly. "What's on your mind?"

"I'll tell you guys later alright. The sorting is going to start." Harry whispered, nodding to the front of the hall.

"Students, this year everything is going to change. The beginning of a new era is at hand, and the sorting ceremony is something that will hold us to the past. Harry Black, if you would join me at the front, please." McGonagall called, nodding to Harry.

Not wanting to argue, Harry rose. Walking to the side of his old Head of House with a small nod.

"With bravery, cunningness, intelligence and loyalty Mr. Black proved to me that the houses truly are not helpful. They only thing that they ever did, was repressed the true nature of everybody." McGonagall continued, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder. "As such, we are no longer going to be sorting people with a hat, but simply by letting them be human. So everyone who is already sorted, go to your friends. Those who haven't do not worry. You will make friends, and you will have somewhere to stay. Mr. Black here is going to help you find where you will be staying."

"Think into yourself, your true base self. That is all I can say, as that is all that I know." Harry said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Truthfully I don't know how to give a good speech, but that is alright. Nobody needs to be good at everything, so I want you all to be yourselves."

"Thank you, Mr. Black. That was touching, now you should go and be with your friends." McGonagall said, smiling brightly as the young boy returned to his friends. As she walked back to her seat, the hall erupted in movement. Many new students heading to there houses, old students grouping together with there friends.

"Now some of you may be wondering how dorms will work. Those who have been sorted, you will stay in your dorms. Those who are new will go to the house that the table was aligned with." Dumbledore called, standing as everyone settled. "Now I have more news to share. We have two new professors. Remus John Lupin will be taking over the post of Defence Against the Dark Arts. With him is Sirius Black, not only to help him but with all of you as well. As for Care of Magical Creatures, the post will be handed to Theta Sigma."

Harry froze as the young man stood. It was him, the Doctor. The one who had told him that he was more than human, that he was special.

"Harry? Who is that?" Hermione whispered as Harry shivered. "Do you know him?"

"Yeah, it's just strange seeing him. I didn't think he had magic, he's not even human. I mean at all. He has a ship and everything. He's some kind of an alien, and it's better if we talk after." Harry responded quietly, turning his attention to his father.

Remus was clearly exhausted, smile half faked to give hope. But Harry could see it, the way he was gripping Sirius' hand, breath shaking his chest.

He was struggling, nearly crying despite the facade he was putting on. Not a good day, anyone could see that.

"Harry, we don't have to stay. None of us. I think we should leave, head to the room and you should tell us what the hell is going on alright?" Draco whispered, grabbing Harry's shoulder gently. "You need to talk, about everything. We will help this time, talk you thru it."

With a nod, Harry rose from his seat, following his small group of friends out of the Great hall and towards the Room of Requirements.

As the group walked in Harry collapsed into the large bed. "I'm not human, not anymore. The Doctor he said I was unknown, never encountered before."

"So what's the issue with that?" Susan asked, gently sitting on the edge of the bed. "I don't see an issue with it."

"It's not really. it's just that I don't know what this means, and considering the Doctor is here it must be something big." Harry responded, flopping onto his back. "So what exactly does it mean to be Unknown?"

"You know, that really is the question," Draco whispered pulling up a chair. "Besides, your something new now. More than even the houses can hold back."

"It's amazing. I always knew you were special, now the world does too." Hermione added, laying next to her boyfriend. "Perhaps you are just the start."

"Maybe, I'm just. I'm kind of scared, with the new changes and being something else. It's hard to know exactly how things will work." Harry whispered, pulling Hermione close. "I mean, what will happen to all of us?"

"Whatever happens, we are going to be ready for it," Draco responded, walking over to the second bed collapsing himself as exhaust slowly took over. "I didn't sleep well last night. I think we could all do with some rest."
