Stupid Cupid

Chapter 1

Michelangelo ignored the stitch in his side as he pushed himself to run faster. Splashing through God-knows-what that always ran through the sewers, he turned sharply down a narrow pipe and froze, using every ounce of his ninja training to hide in the shadows.

Growls and heavy footsteps echoed throughout the passageways. Mikey held his breath, waiting for his pursuer to pass by.

A glimpse of pink stalked by, and Mikey couldn't hold his laughter.

Honing in on the stifled snickers, Raphael's hand snaked into the darkness and grabbed his brother by the shell. "Gotcha now, you little punk. You think its funny, do you?"

Squirming in the larger turtle's grasp, Mike laughed again and grinned. "But Raphie, it's Valentine's Day! I just wanted to show you guys how much I love you!" He collapsed again in a fit of giggles.

Raphael shook his obnoxious little brother in anger. "It was bad enough last year when you painted the entire lair in red and white hearts, but this time you've gone too far!" He ripped off his mask and held it between them, the fresh flamingo pink dye practically glimmering in the dim lighting. His mask, elbow and knee pads, belt, and even the wrappings on his sai were of varying shades of the vile color. "I'm gonna knock you into Saint Patrick's Day!"

Leo and Don watched in throws of laughter over the monitor. Though they couldn't exactly hear the conversation, they had a clear view of Raphael's back.

Donatello wiped a tear from his eye. "Do you think we should tell him about the bright pink heart painted on his shell?"

It took a second for Leonardo to catch his breath. "Hey, we got lucky, at least. Last week, I heard Mikey muttering about making a Cupid, but couldn't find a diaper big enough."

Mental images of Raphael in tiny wings and a giant diaper caused the brothers to dissolve in hysterics once again.

faithashley2000: This is such an amazing story, very well thought out and the plot is perfect. I recommend everyone to read this. Although the readers are most likely going to be teen girls, due to the cheesynees and romance

Marijana1: The story might be characterized as “modern fantastic”. The representation of “the future” is not only ironic and fault-finding, but also very critical. Of course, it is highly exaggerated, but I get the feeling that it may well be linked to the truth, even though it is far away from it. The fact...

Kasey Pinney: This book had me from the beginning. I never came across a part I didn't want to read or that didn't entertain me. The characters are well developed and the internal conversations fit the book well.

E_W_Hemmings: First of all, sorry this review took so long: I've had science mocks recently and then when I came to read this, I made notes to put in the review like I usually do... but then I deleted them. Well done me. As a result, this review is a bit more general than most reviews I write, but hey ho, let'...

Juanita Dunn Houston: I really liked the story. It made me laugh out and at times made me angry at Paul, the ex and the attorney as it was supposed to do. The Irish words confused me a little and I had to look up how to pronounce the main characters name but other than that, it was a good story. I hope there will be a...

Mona Matthews: I went to high school a while back and was able to revisit it in this book. The emotions, conflicts, and triumphs kept me turning the pages. Who is cool in high school? And what makes them cool? Why do we care? This book blends the turmoils of high school and the turmoils of life with perfect bal...

MusketeerAdventure: Well - I really enjoyed this very much! The whole idea of a shared haunting really intrigues me. I thought you did a wonderful job; and I really liked the idea of hearing from the first ghost's point of view. It would be interesting to read more about these two - and the ghost-busters that inf...
