Chapter 1

Just imagine the person you hated the day you first saw that person, eventually became the most important existence in your life. Hate turned into love. You both been through a lot, argued much, misunderstood each other. But still, you loved each other no matter what. Even if one of you had to pretend to love another, the love you felt for each other still brought you to each other. And just when you think everything is going great. Confessing feelings, saying the words I love you to each other, embracing and just enjoying each others presence. Everything just disappeared in an eye blink. With only a promise left as your only hope to see each other again. Days passed, Months and eventually years, but no matter what you still believed. Believed in that promise. Still waiting for that person to come back. But was it really waiting or just hoping?

“Y/N I will be at your house around 10 P.M tomorrow alright?” My friend Yumi asked over the phone.

“Yeah, that’s alright. I will see you tomorrow” I said and we ended the call. Yumi is my friend who I worked with for 2 years now. It’s been 3 years since Jungkook left and now I’m 21 years old. I work at an office not really something much and I live on my own together with Cloud. My apartment isn’t really that big and everything is on the same floor. Even though it been 3 years already I still love Jungkook very dearly. At first, we would talk all the time all night long, but as time past we started to lose touch. Don’t ask me how it just happened. We started talking less because or I had to go do work or some other stuff or he had something to do. So we only talked to each other when we had time. And we seriously lost touch when I got my phone broken. Since then I didn’t know how to reach him because I didn’t know his number. After I finished school I moved to Busan for work and here I live alone with Cloud. My parents still lived in Seoul that’s a 5-hour drive away. And because they both are busy with their jobs they don’t really come to visit me that often. Cloud was such an angel he would always cheer me up when I was down. He sure changed from a cute puppy to a reliable buddy. Most of the time he cheered me up when I was down because Jungkook wasn’t by my side. Not a single day past by where I didn’t think about him. Seeing the necklace I wore around my neck every day just reminded me of our times together. I would always hope that one day he would just come back. After all he promised me. And even though I have been waiting for 3 years now I still held onto that promise.

″Give it back!″ Jungkook shouted more like whined because I took away his phone.

″I almost finished that level″ he whined again making me laugh.

″Well maybe you should just stop playing games all the time and instead help me with the laundry. Its also yours″ I said and he gave in.

″Alright″ he said walking to the pile of clothes that had to be folded. I placed his phone on a table and joined him helping him fold the clothes.

″Oh whats this?″ Jungkook said grinning while suddenly grabbing a pair of my black panties that were laying between the clothes.

″Give it back″ I said my face as red as a tomato when I snatched it quickly away out of his hands. He laughed at my reaction making me slap his chest.

″Embarrassed?″ he asked still laughing at my face.

″Shut up″ I replied and he brought his face closer to mine.

″Make me″ he said smirking and I flicked his forehead in response. I turned around again folding the laundry. I felt a strong pair of arms around my waist hugging me from behind.

″I love you Y/N″ Jungkook suddenly said while smiling like a little kid.

″What’s with the suddenness?″ I asked smiling because of his words.

″I just felt like saying it″ he replied making me smile while he placed his head into the crook of my neck.

″You’re just trying to avoid helping me with the laundry″ I said narrowing my eyes.

″Noo. I really just wanted to say it. I can say it everyday anytime″ he said proudly.

″What? you’re not going to say it back?″ he asked breaking the hug and turning me around so we would face each other.

″Just help me″ I whined. I still needed to make a lot of homework after this and it was already pretty late.

″Not before you reply″ he said folding his arms over his chest.

″I hate you″ I said joking while he gave me an emotionless look.

″Alright we are over″ he said walking away, but I could see that he was joking. I grabbed his arm turning him around while I quickly pecked his lips sweetly.

″I love you too″ I said cutely seeing a huge smile appear on his face.

″Can we now please get this over with so I can make my homework?″ I asked and he nodded his head.

″I will help you with your homework afterward″ he said smiling while folding the clothes quickly.

″Really? Thank you babe″ I replied smiling happily but it soon faded when I saw a smirk on his face.

″Not for free″ he said making me roll my eyes at him.

*End flashback*

I quickly shook my head not wanting to become emotional again, like always when I think about the things we have been through.

“Come on Cloud lets go,” I said grabbing Cloud by his leash after I put on my shoes and jacket. He barked happily while obediently following me out of the apartment. We were heading to the market to get some stuff for when Yumi comes tomorrow. It was such a great weather. The sun was shining brightly but it wasn’t too hot and the wind was blowing a cold breeze. As we arrived it was already packed with a lot of people.

“Let’s see...” I said looking at a piece of paper I wrote all the stuff I need to get on. Suddenly I felt someone bump into me from behind. I turned around seeing an old lady looking at her groceries that were on the floor.

“I’m so sorry” the old lady said apologizing while bending down to get her stuff.

“Its okay″ I said squatting down to help her grab her stuff.

“There you go,” I said smiling once everything was off the floor and back in her bag.

“Thank you,” she said smiling cutely. After that, she walked away and I noticed that my hand was empty.

“Cloud?” I asked and once I looked I saw that he wasn’t around.

“Shit Cloud!” I screamed scanning around the area. I suddenly heard a bark from afar and I knew that it was Clouds. I quickly ran to the barking sound while screaming Clouds name a couple of times. I turned around a corner and I just froze.

“Did you miss me that much boy?” The familiar voice asked while petting Cloud who’s tail just wouldn’t stop moving.

“Jungkook,” I said and Jungkook looked up at me. He smiled brightly at me while standing up again with Clouds leash in his hand.

“I told you I would come back for you,” he said smiling making tears escape my eyes.
