Surviving At Stanford

Chapter 15

Author's Note: Hi everyone :) sorry it's taken so long for me to update this story, but I currently have two main stories on the go right now so this one got neglected slightly. Don't worry, I will be regularly updating this one too from now on. Don't forget to leave a review saying what you like about the story, and also feel free to comment on some plot suggestions of what you would like to see happen in the story! :) Thanks, Sarah xxx

The college thought it best that I take a few weeks off on sick leave. The Winchester's and Jess thought it would be best too.

"But I don't want to leave..." I stated. "I'll get behind on all my coursework and then I'll never get caught up again."

"Carrie, you underestimate how smart you actually are." Sam replied, softly.

"I don't want to leave you." I followed up in a saddened tone.

"You don't have to." He answered.

"What?" I furrowed an eyebrow.

"You didn't think I'd stay here and leave you, did you?" Sam asked with a smile.

"No, no, no...That's not fair on you. You can't leave, then you'll get behind too...and then there's Jess. You'd be leaving her here all by herself. Sam you can't..." I stated.

Sam closed the gap between us and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a hug.

I smiled and rested my head against his chest, wrapping my arms around him too.

"Carrie, you are my main priority right now. You're my little sis, of course I'm going to come with you." Sam's tone was caring and protective. "It's our job to look after you, and that's what we're gonna' do."

"Are you sure?" I asked, looking up at him.

He nodded. "We're here for you, Carrie...Through anything."

"Thank you." I smiled before hugging him tighter.

"That's what family's for, right?" He smiled.

Dean walked into the room. "I'm not interrupting something am I?" He smirked in a typical Dean way.

Sam rolled his eyes and we pulled away from each other. "Why, you jealous?" He teased.

"Totally." Dean walked over and nudged me on the arm with a smile. "Everything sorted?"

I nodded. "Packed and ready to go."

"You done too?" He asked Sam.

"Yep, just need to say goodbye to Jess. She said she wouldn't be long."

"Where did she even go this morning?" I asked.

"I have no idea." Sam shrugged. It had come to a stage where Sam just accepted that Jess was extremely independent and half the time just seemed to disappear into thin air before appearing a couple of hours later.

Just then, the door opened and in walked Jess.

"Speak of the devil." Dean smirked.

"Hey." She smirked too before hitting him on the arm. "You're no angel yourself."

I looked down as I smirked. 'God if only she knew'.

Jess walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm going to miss you SO much!" She stated.

"I'm gonna' miss you too, Jess." I smiled.

Jess then walked over to Sam.

Dean walked over to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me against his side.

"Sam Winchester, I swear to god you better actually ring me this time!" Jess warned.

"Of course."

Dean made the sound of a whip snapping.

I smirked, but still hit him on the arm.

Sam shot him a bitch face before looking back down at Jess, noticing the expression of 'I know you're not going to ring me so you better actually ring me!' "I will!" He continued.

Jess clearly still wasn't convinced.

Sam smiled before wrapping his arms around her back and lifting her from her feet as he swung her around bringing a smile to her face as she giggled before pressing a kiss to her lips.

"Are you watching, Dean." I asked. "That's called being romantic." I stated with a cheeky smile as I glanced up at him.

"Hey, I can be romantic." He answered.

I raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"I can be romantic." Dean retorted. "I just don't do all that soppy crap like Sam."

"I think it's sweet."

"What do you want, a poem?" He answered sarcastically.

It was my turn to shoot him a bitch face.

"Fine...I may not be romantic, but I can do this." He answered before wrapping an arm around my back and lifting my off my feet. Dean pushed me back against the wall as he pressed his lips to mine. I wrapped my legs around his waist as we kissed. Dean had one hand supporting me while the other was placed on my cheek. We remained in this position for a few minutes until the sound of Sam clearing his throat could be heard.

"Guys...right here..." He stated. "You know...your brother."

Realising where we actually were, Dean lowered me to the ground before we awkwardly turned back round to Jess and Sam.

Sam just looked mortified by what he had just had to watch while Jess looked almost envious that Sam never kissed her like that.

The two of them went back to saying their goodbyes.

I turned back to Dean.

He was currently wiping a hand across his mouth to rid himself of my rose coloured lipstick which was smudged on his lips and mouth. Dean grinned at me in a smug way.

"Fuck romantic." I whispered, running a hand through my hair to tidy it up.

He smirked.
