Turning Back Time Chapter 14
1630 Revello Drive
Buffy followed Angel into the house. He stopped and faced her placing his hand onto her dirt stained cheek again. His soulful brown eyes bore into hers. He reached down and picked up her bleeding, torn apart hands and examined them.
"Buffy?" Dawn's soft voice broke apart the couple.
Angel turned to the teenager standing behind them in the doorway of the living room and said, "Dawn, can you please get the first aid kit. While I help clean her up."
"Sure. Okay." Dawn said and moved around back into the living room where Spike stood staring at Buffy with disbelief.
Angel took Buffy's hand and led her up the stairs when Willow and the rest of the Scoobies barged into the home.
"Buffy!" Willow said with amazement that was quickly deflated when she saw her in the light for the first time. Buffy was a mess. "Does she need-"
Angel spun around to the witch. "I think you've done enough for one night, Willow." His voice was low and cool. He faced Buffy and gestured her to continue up the stairs and head into the bathroom.
Angel flicked on the bathroom light and held out his hand, "Uh, sit down there while I get you something to change into." Buffy nodded her head and went to the toilet seat and sat.
Angel turned and bumped into Dawn.
"Here." She held out the first aid kit.
"Thanks." Angel took it. "Can you get something for Buffy to change into, please."
Dawn nodded her head and went into Buffy's bedroom.
Angel soaked a hand towel then crossed the bathroom to her and knelt down opening the kit. He took her hand and carefully mended it. Buffy watched in silence as Angel quietly cleaned her hands then looked up at her face. He raise the towel and cleaned the dirt off of his face.
Angel led Buffy into her bedroom saw newly picked out clothes for her to change into laid out on her bed.
Buffy went over to them and picked up a tank then looked up at Angel.
"Sorry." He spun away with embarrassment.
Angel turned back around to see her gesturing to the zipper that went down her back. Angel nodded his head though she couldn't see it and slowly unzipped her black dress until it reached her lower back.
He took an unneeded breath when her black dirty dress pooled around her feet. Angel missed see her. She was always the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.
He shook his head and turned away giving her what's left of her privacy as she put on her tank top and pyjama pants.
Buffy crawled into the bed and under the covers laying her head down on the pillow.
Angel cleared his throat and headed for the door. "Uh, goodnight then, Buffy."
"Wait." Buffy sat up stopping him from leaving. "Stay?"
Angel nodded his head squeezing his eyes closed. He went back to her and found a seat in the corner of the room in the armchair. He shrugged off his coat and laid it neatly on the back of the chair and sat down.
Buffy closed her eyes falling asleep almost immediately.
Angel crossed his legs and folded his hands and studied the woman in the bed carefully. He couldn't believe it. She was here again. His heart was torn out when she died. Everything that had happened between them was a complete bundle of blurriness and confusion. The only thing was clear in his mind was his memories of his wife and the horror he lived in order to find her again.
His eyes moved down her closed eyes and watched her lips part slightly. She drew her knees up higher into her chest and held the blanket tighter under her chin. Angel wanted nothing more than to crawl into that bed with her and hold her tightly and whisper words of love into her ear. But he did not. He sat in the armchair and watched her.

"C'mon, lass! The water is fine!"
Buffy laughed and shimmied out of her heavy gown and removed the clip of her hair. She turned and saw Liam in the water watching her with hypnotised eyes.
Liam laughed as she ran down the rest of the hill and jumped into the water splashing him. Liam caught her into his arms and held her close. Her legs wrapped around his waist locking her ankles.
Buffy drew her head back falling deep into his eyes. Her fingers laced through his wet long hair. Liam's hand cupped her cheek and traced the line of her jaw to her chin memorising the brightness of her green eyes, the shape of her lips, the feel of her in his arms. She was breathtaking.
"Where, did ya come from?" His eyes moved around her face with disbelief. "Ya're the most beautiful creature I've ever beheld."
"I bet you say that to all of the girls."

Buffy's eyes snapped open. She sat up panting breathlessly.
Angel jumped up from the armchair and went to her sitting on the edge of the bed. His hands went to her cheeks pushing her hair off of her face. "Buffy? Buffy?"
Buffy caught her breath. Her eyes rose up to his face. They were wild and unfocused until they caught his eyes. Her eyes widened, "Liam?"
The memories of her past life flooded back in her mind like a wave crashing against the sand. She remembered everything like Angel. Her hands went to his face. He felt the same. He smelled the same.
"It's me, my grá. It's me." He rested his forehead against her relieved she remembered him.
"I… I got so lost." Her tears sipped down her face. "I'm so sorry I forgot. I'm sorry I forgot."
Angel shook his head, "No, it's not your fault. You remember now."
"I remember everything. You were there." Her hand went to his chest.
"How did this happen?" Angel asked.
"I don't - I don't know. When I died… I woke up in Ireland in the year 1751. I don't understand but… You were there and we were happy. That's all that mattered. You're here now."
Angel nodded his head and captured her mouth in a desperate kiss that was filled with need and desire. "Do you remember the cottage?" Angel asked as she ran her fingers into his hair.
"Our cottage." Buffy tearfully smiled at the memory. "I remember everything. Every word ever spoken, every kiss, every touch… our children. We had children."
"We did." Angel said.
"I remember taking them to the MacCale's and they told me the Powers That Be would protect them."
Angel tucked her hair behind her ear, "You changed my past. You made it… you made me better, Buffy."
"But I couldn't change everything. Darla still turned you into a vampire. You were still evil." Buffy's finger trailed down his neck to his throat and down his chest. "I want them back."
"I know. Me too."
Angel looked away to the window seeing in between the small gap of the curtains to the bright night sky. "We'll find them." He looked at her. "We're going to find them and we'll be a family again." Angel kissed her mouth. "Tomorrow night, we'll jump on a plane and go back to Ireland."
