I'm Not You
Brittany looked down at her letter and opened the envelope. Santana looked over at her and sat next to her. "Can I read it?" She smiled as Brittany nodded. They held the letter together and read it.
First of all, I wear the badge you got me for christmas every day and I always will. Thank you.
When I first met you I thought you were a little stupid (sorry) but when I got to know you I realized you were a freaking genius, sure your grades aren't the best and you tend to say the wrong thing when people ask you what words mean... but who cares? You where also my first friend at McKinley, I remember seeing you preform in assembly and I thought you were amazing. And Oh my god, do you remember when I asked you for Kurt's number (thanks) and then told you to check out my 'art work'? Then I had to join Glee and you shouted 'Sweaters' for that lesson, that was so cute.
I also remember when that Chester or whatever his name is came and wanted Kurt. We weren't very happy about that, were we? I was jealous and you were sad because it wasn't me. Then out of jealousy I went over there and kissed Kurt right in front of him and you started clapping and jumping up and down. Then we started dating and you were so happy your dolphins were finally together. Sorry for fighting at your party by the way, I hope you still have my present!
I wan't to thank you for always being there for me. You were sweet, kind, an amazing friend and smart when it came to Kurt and I. I also want to say sorry for everything bad that I have ever done... Including breaking Kurt's heart. Now, what I'm about to write is really important, okay?
I'm leaving... Everyone's going to know that, but not where or why. All I'm saying is that you'll be okay, so will Aimee. I don't want you to worry about me.
I also hope you don't hate me for breaking up with Kurt. I hurt him, I know I did. I let him believe he was another one of my 'fuck buddies' but I want you to know that he wasn't. I let him think all of this so that he would hate me and not worry about me. I want him to follow his dreams and go to New York. I didn't want him to put his life on hold for me, i'm not worth it. Don't tell anybody this though, let him hate me and move on... even if i won't. I really do love him.
I'm sorry Brittany, I love you.
P.S: You and Santana are perfect for each other and good luck at nationals.
Brittany and Santana looked at each other, frowning. "I don't understand..." Brittany sighed, she was crying. "...He's gone?"
Santana nodded and hugged her. "We can't let Kurt read this letter, okay?" Brittany nodded and kissed her on the cheek.
"Hello?! What the fuck is going on?!"
Aimee, Blaine and Cooper walked to the front of school and sat on a wall, they were early and sat there in silence. Cooper shifted uncomfortably as he tried to figure out things in his head, he knew he didn't have much time. "Aimee?"
"Mm?" She looked up at him, smiling slightly.
"Would you like a lollipop?" He asked sweetly.
"Sure." She smiled as she stood up and headed to the shop with her brothers following behind.
Cooper took this as his chance to speak to Blaine and wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "You don't have to do this..."
"Really?" He raised an eyebrow mockingly. "I already made the deal and besides... Aimee and I don't have anywhere else to go."
"What about Mr Schue's?"
"We've been there for months, he has a new baby on the way... he's having a family."
"But nothing," Blaine sighed. "Look, Coop. If I could choose, Aimee and I would stay here with them and Kurt and McKinley. I would go to college with Kurt in New York and non of us, including you, would have to deal with dad ever again. But we can't because its not up to me... I made a deal that got you and Puck out of jail." He stated. "Will and Emma are like parents to Aimee and I, but that doesn't mean we're like their own... they probably just felt sorry for us, so they took us in to help us get back on our feet. Now they can have a real family."
"What about you?!" Cooper yelled. "What do you get out of this?"
"I get to know that Puck, Kurt, Will, Emma, The baby, Aimee... they can all have a chance to be happy, to have a normal life, a family."
"Aimee's not going to be happy." Cooper stated. "I'm not. In fact, the only person who actually will be happy out of all of this is 'Mr Anderson'." Blaine sighed and walked a little faster but Cooper caught up to him. "What If Aimee turns out to be a lesbian? Or Bi?" Blaine froze. "What's Dad going to do? He's going to blame you and treat her like crap." He sighed. "She's going to need you."
"She has you." Blaine looked at the floor.
"But I'm not you." Cooper stated putting a hand on his shoulder.
Mr Schue walked into his office and slowly sad down. He looked at the envelope for a couple of seconds and eventually opened it. He opened up the piece of paper to find another with a drawing from Aimee. It was of Emma, Aimee, Blaine, Himself and the unborn baby. He smiled, put it on his desk and began to read the letter.
Dear Will and Emma,
Firstly, I'm sorry about every bad thing I have ever said or done to either of you. Sure at first, Will, I thought you were a complete douche bag and you hated me, i mean who wouldn't? I was an ass. But that's all over now, you guys have helped me see how stupid I was being... Emma, you have given me amazing advice (which probably makes sense since your a guidance councilor...) and you've been a real mom to Aimee and I (I hope you got that Will...) Will, You have taught me so much about what it means to be a man and you've been a real Dad to Aimee and I. You guys and the New Directions have all taught me so much; like how to be a better person and what-not.
I also want you to know that even though I was an ass to Kurt when I broke up with him; I really do love him and probably always will. (Just make sure that stays between us!) Can you also make sure that he follows his dreams? No matter what.
You are the most amazing people I have ever met, your going to make awesome parents. You've treated Aimee and I like your own and we really appreciated it. You guys saved us. I mean... lets face it, if it wasn't for you guys we'd be on the streets. You where our family when we didn't have any and we just want to thank you. We love you and that's why its so hard to say goodbye. Where leaving, I can't tell you where or why, but at least now you have more room, you can have a family.
Good luck with the baby, your going to be amazing parents. You'll be okay and so will Aimee.
Thank you so much, for everything.
Love always, Blaine. x
P.S: I'm sorry about nationals; I hope you win.
"Hello?! What the fuck is going on?!"
Kurt walked into the choir room to see everyone chatting and Mr Schue walking into his office with an envelope in his hands. He looked around the room to see Noah lent against a wall ripping an envelope open. "What's going on?" He asked. Everyone turned to look at him but didn't answer. "What?" He walked further into the room to see Brittany and Santana sat at the back reading a letter or something. Everyone turned back to their own conversations and after a minute or so, Kurt decided to get their attention. "Hello?! What the fuck is going on?!" He shouted.
Everyone looked up at him with wide eyes. "Blaine's gone." Breathed Mr Schue, walking back into the room. Holding his letter and a picture from Aimee in his hand.
"What about nationals?!" yelled Rachel. They had won Regionals back in January and Blaine was supposed to be singing a solo at nationals. Everyone turned to glare at her.
"Where is he?" asked Kurt, holding back tears.
"I don't know." He sighed. Quinn glanced over at Noah, wondering if he was going to say anything since he was the only one who knew where he was. He didn't.
Aimee, Blaine and Cooper got back to the wall and sat in silence. Blaine really didn't want to talk about 'other options' because in his eyes he didn't have any. Cooper attempted to make a conversation but failed every time, all Blaine could think about was Will, Emma and Brittany reading their letters and Kurt's face when he broke up with him. After another couple of minuets, the same car as yesterday drove down the street, towards the school. "Let's go." called Mr Anderson, stopping at the side of the road. Aimee grabbed Blaine's hand and squeezed it as they put their bags in the boot. Cooper got in the front so that Aimee and Blaine could get in the back. They put on their seat belts and Aimee grabbed Blaine's hand again while Blaine looked out of the window to watch McKinley get smaller and further away until he couldn't see it anymore.
