Kamen Rider Fallen

Remodelled

Henshin! It's what I'd like to say. When I was a boy, at the age of 4, I've always been a big fan of the Kamen Riders. I've heard certain stories about them, that they have saved countless lives. And it makes me think... Have they ever regret this? About risking their lives on the line just to protect us? Sometimes I wonder what goes through their mind and I just... I just want to understand them is all. I've even heard there are those who would kill their own kind just to get stronger. But that's just it. I just "heard" about it.

How do I put it? I'm more of an unqualified person to be in that position. I bet the Riders in the stories I've heard were really strong.

I have no talent nor family anymore. Just me living on my own with a dead end job. Well I wouldn't say it was a dead end job since I enjoyed working at a convenience store. In fact, I was rather happy with my life. Maybe I should just keep my dream as it is. A dream.

But something happened one day... Something... Something I wished I'd forget about it one day.

It was around 7 in the morning on a Friday. I've just finished my shift and was about to go home. I normally go to work and go home with a bike. And I mean motorbike. And on the way home, I heard a strange noise. Something... Inhuman. I turned my head in every direction the moment I reached a stop sign. Nothing...

I thought that maybe it was all in my head so I ignored it and went home. And that's when it happened...

I saw a car. It was abandoned. I got off my bike and checked it out. The doors were left opened and there seem to be a sign of struggle. The seats were ripped. The door was almost apart from the car and there were scratch marks and dents on the car as if someone was fighting.

But what caught my attention most is something bizarre. Something in and on the car. Spider webs...

It didn't look like any ordinary spider web. But it looks as if a huge spider made the web. Because the web itself is too much for a spider to produce. What's more... It was still wet and sticky...

And before I knew it, something grabbed me from behind and I was wrapped in something like a cacoon. No... Not a cacoon. A web...

When I came to, I found myself somewhere dark and cold. I see a family there as well, struggling for their escape. They were crying, begging for mercy for a man was laying on a table, chained as well. It looked like a family held captive. And the man must be with the woman and children.

I looked a bit up and saw a group of people in black uniform, staring at all of us, the victims. But what caught my attention more was among the group. It was a man, with the face of a spider... He was only wearing trousers and the rest of his body was covered in hair... His face literary matches a spider's. It's as if it was a man combined with a spider or a spider turned anthropomorphic.

One of the soldiers in the group flip a switch and the table with the man laying on top glowed. They were... They electrocuting the man in front of me... In front of his family... I witnessed the man's skin turning into crisp as his body shaked from all that current in his body.

"Enough!" said the spider man. The soldier then flipped the switch back, turning off the electricity. "This one is no good as well..." And just like that, they disposed of the body.

The man's family cried for his name... All I could do was watch at their sadness... How could someone be this cruel...? To do this in front of their family even...

The spider man then ordered the soldiers to bring me on the table next. I was next in line for Death... I struggle but the soldiers manage to restrain me from resisting. I shouted at them, kicked them and did everything I could. But nothing seems to work. Just by looking at their faces, they seemed... Not normal...

Like it's as if they are superhuman... Their grip was so strong, I can feel as if something was pressing my wrists and ankle so hard like a machine.

But it was too late for me. I was in line for death row. I was chained on the same table the man was and was about to face death. No matter how many times I struggled, it was useless.

The spider man signaled the soldier and the switched was flipped.

I felt it... The pain... The agony... Going through my body... I was about to die... No... Not yet... Not like this...

I made a promise to my family, that I would be strong no matter what... Even though my life was pointless, it doesn't mean that I can't live! So I did. I endured the pain for as long as I can and all I could do was scream in agony. I would struggle at times but I kept resisting it. I can't die yet! Especially if it's in the hands of someone else.

But soon, the power was shut down and I breathed heavily... I was still alive... But my skin however... Some parts were burnt from the inside and I can't even move anymore... The only thing I could do is breathe, see and hear...

"He's perfect", said the spider man. He looked at me like a predator staring at its prey. "Very soon, you'll be more than alive. You have been chosen to be one of us."

"One of us" he said... Never...

I really wish I could have done something. But I couldn't... The next thing I knew, I fainted from all that endurance...

When I woke up, I saw someone shaking me, telling me to wake up. It was a man around his 50s. He was wearing a labcoat and he released my chain.

"Come with me," he said, in a rush. I asked who he was and where was I. While we were running, this was what he said, "I'm Professor Miura. I... Remodeled you. And you're in HELL."

Hell? Does he mean I'm dead? That was what I thought at first but no. He meant, I'm in an organization base, HELL: Human Evolutionary of Long Lineage.

Apparently, HELL is an organization that plans to take over the world. I just happened to be part of their experiment. Their goal is to evolve human beings to the extreme for immortality. And now, I'm a part of them. Not yet at least. I'm only like them but I'm not brainwashed like them.

When the Professor and I reached a steel door, he told me to bust it opened. I didn't know how. But all he said was, now I'm more than just human. I'm different now. I'm stronger... Faster... Smarter... And better...

I kicked the door opened with ease and looked at the palm of my hands... I've... Changed...

I grabbed the Professor by the collar, asking him for answers. What has he done with my body? Why was he a part of this? But mostly how do I changed back. He said I can't... There is no changing back. I'm stuck like this forever.

It took a while to get back to where we were but I've chose to accept it. I may have lost my humanity. But at least, I can use this to protect humanity.

We returned to the room where I was at and freed the hostages. Just like the door just now, I was able to pull the chain apart with ease. The Professor led the way out but stopped dead at his track the moment we reached the exit.

"Professor?" I said. He dropped on the ground. Dead...

And there before us, the spider man. And the soldiers with him surrounded us from inside and out.

"There is no escaping the fate of HELL," said the spider man. "You are perfect to join us. Now stop resisting and behave."

"No..." I replied. "You'd go that far just to take over the world...? To kill a man in front of his family...?"

"He was nothing but weak. If he really wanted to live for his family, then he should have been strong enough to endure it. But you," he pointed at me. "You out of 33 people survived this experiment. Which makes you perfect to be one of us."

33...? They killed 33 other people before me...? Is HELL really that merciless...? Unforgivable... I can't forgive for this kind of act that they have set upon those victims!

I clenched my fist tight, and run towards the spider man and attack him. I shouted at the woman and children to run and faced the soldiers and their leader myself.

I may be stronger than before but it doesn't seem enough to put the spider man down. What's more, the soldiers were attacking me all at once.

But I can't lose to them... Especially not with what they've done to those people... I just can't!

And with every force I put into my fist, I punched one of the soldiers and he went flying and melted as if he never existed.

I gave it my all. My thoughts to defeat HELL. Everything. And there it was. Around my waist, a belt appeared with a crystal in the middle. The belt had semi circles on the side and an oval in the middle with the crystal in the middle of the oval.

As the spider man witnessed the belt, he stepped back. "It can't be. He's already completely evolve?!"

I formed a cross with my hands to the left, wrist to wrist, putting my left hand turning it into and fist to my waist and my right hand rotating to the right. As soon as my hand reached to that angle, I shouted the very word I have been wanting to say...

"Henshin!"

And with that i retracted my right hand to my waist and thrusts out my left hand. And after that pose, I was wearing a black latex suit and a set of armor appeared out from the belt. The armor formed themselves unto me.

I was wearing a red body armor that looked like the body muscles of a man. Red shoulder plates place themselves on my shoulder. The back of the body armor looked like the shell of a beetle wing. And as for the legs, I was wearing a red shin guard with some black lining just like the rest of my armor.

I was also wearing a helmet with big red beetle eyes and a set of two horns on both sides. But unlike this spider man. It's as if I'm wearing organic armor. And when I mean organic, I mean like something literary not made by man. It's like, I'm literary am wearing beetle shells as armor.

"Damn you, Fallen..." said the spider man. He called me Fallen...

And that's when I decided who I was. Kamen Rider... Fallen!
