“Lets us now take a peek... into the future. The window’s shut.”
“I’ll open it.”
“I’m afraid the window’s barred.”
“I’ll call out her name!”
“She’s forgotten... all about you.”
Because the world didn’t end when Peter Pan left Wendy, and it’s been seven years since the boy who wouldn’t grow up and Wendy darling had seen each other. After seven years of waiting, the unthinkable has happened -- Neverland is dying, Peter Pan is growing up , and Wendy has stopped believing -- in everything.
this story is based on the 2003 film, peter pan. i began this little continuation in 2013, but up until now, have since stopped writing it. inspiration comes from the frustration of the film’s ending, combined with the curiosity of “what if the boy that never grew up, did?” sudden inspiration struck, and i’m eager to see this through the end. please leave some love in the comments and share your thoughts! enjoy!
