Threats

Myeong-Dong

"I see you! Turn around!"

I removed the phone from my ear and turned around.

Seungmin was standing there, his hoodie pulled up, over his head. I ran over to him, and cancelled the call.

"Hey," I said, breathless.

"Hey," He said, grinning at me.

"Where to now?" I asked him. He looked down at me and shrugged.

"Anywhere you want. I didn't really plan," Seungmin said, "Do you to just walk around aimlessly?"

"Sure."

Seungmin and I walked together side by side, down the streets of Myeong-dong, talking as we went.

"Ohmygosh, I need that!" I said hurriedly, running towards a lady who was selling ice cream.

"Wait for me!"

I jumped into line, and when we reached the front, I ordered one for me, and one for Seungmin.

After waiting a while, we eventually got our ice cream. But, it was not normal ice cream. It was tall. Like extremely tall.

I handed one to Seungmin.

"Thanks," He said. He ate the top, and ice cream smeared across his lips. I took a bite out of mine too.

We continued on our way. Soon enough, we decided to head to a mall nearby.

We walked around, talking and chatting.

"That's what I used to do," I said, shrugging.

"You should've continued it!" He said, pushing me playfully, "You could've won some medals!"

I stuck my tongue out at him, and started to power walk away from him.

"Hey! Stop! Wait for me! Don't go!"

I laughed and continued to power walk away from Seungmin.

We had decided to go back to Meyong-dong one last time, to eat some more delicious food, before we went home.

Me and Seungmin were both waiting, for our calamari to be finished.

"Today was awesome," Seungmin said, smiling as he looked ahead at the calamari stall.

The smell of oil and squid wafted towards us, the heat radiating from the cart. The squid was sizzling in the oil, making satisfying sounds.

"I agree," I said. I turned to look at him as I spoke.

Somehow, I noticed things I hadn't noticed before.

His eyes were really pretty, and his overly large glasses that were a bit too big on his face, made him look cuter. His clothes were baggy, but it made him look nice. Anything he wore would look nice on him.

I smiled at him, and he turned and looked at me. I looked away quickly, and he smiled, looking away, himself.

"Ah! The calamari is done!" He said, rushing to get our food.

He brought it over and we both ate, savouring the flavour of the fried food.

Eventually we finished, and we walked over to the bus stop. We both stood there, waiting for the bus to arrive.

While we waited, Seungmin turned to talk to me.

"So, Juniper, I wanted to ask you something."

"Yeah? Shoot."

"Will you go out with me?"

I turned my head towards him, my jaw wide open.

"I, uhm-," I stumbled over my words. I couldn't find the right words to say. As each second passed, Seungmin looked a bit more depressed.

Eventually I gathered my thoughts and words and managed to give him an answer.

"Of course." I said. I grinned at him, and he mirrored the grin back at me.

We talked a lot, while we both made our way home.
