Chapter 1

I was walking down the schools main hallway when I saw the most gorgeous person ever. Luke Hemmings. He was the most popular boy in school, and just like every other girl in school I had a massive crush on him.

The only problem was that I am the schools number 1 nerd. Why would he even notice me? I was putting in the code of my locker when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I was completely surprised when I saw it was Luke!

"Uh, Hey Kyeilaynni." Honestly I was really confused, because Luke never talked to me, so I looked around to see if I made a mistake. I saw Calum, Michael, and Ashton. They were laughing about something and pointing towards me! At that moment I was kind of spacing out. "Uhm, you okay?" Luke said regaining my attention.

"U-um yeah, s-sorry." At that time I was really flustered. "That's fine, but I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie together?" You could tell by his face that he was really anxious. "Of course!" I didn't even realize what I just said! I just did in without thinking! I mean the hottest and most popular guy in school just asked me out! How could I say no?!

He had the happiest reaction on his face. It was so cute! "Great, I'll pick you up at 8:00 on Friday." After him saying that I realized that everyone was looking at us. The girls were giving me dirty glares and everybody else was just whispering to each other.

A few girls were starting to walk towards me, but before they could reach me the bell rung. "See ya later." Luke said going the opposite way. I got my textbooks and went to English. During class people were throwing things at me and laughing.

"Was he forced to do it?" "I bet he did it because he felt bad for her." "I heard that he lost a bet and had to ask her out."

That's all I heard in the back of the class. The bell rung, everybody started to rush out of class. Thank God! I was saved by the bell. For the rest of the day nothing changed. People kept mocking me and laughing at me.

We were finally finished with 8th hour. When I got to my locker there were hate letters all over it. I got my backpack out, and when I turned I was Luke walking my way. I immediately started to cry, I ran past him as fast as I could.

Instead of stopping to take the bus I ran all the way home. On my way I heard footsteps behind me. I glanced and saw it was Luke. I started running faster, I swear my heart was going to beat out of my head. "Hey Kyeilaynni, wait up."

I could hear Luke Yelling behind me, but I didn't care I just wanted to be left alone. When I got home I slammed the door behind me and stormed up to my room. I heard my phone notification going off. It was from Luke.

"Are you okay?" "Is something wrong" "Did I do something to make you cry" "Please answer me, I need to know what's happening"

I ignored all of my texted from him and just curled myself in a ball and cried. I dozed off unaware. When I woke up It was already 10:43 a.m. I looked at my phone and I had gotten 162 texts and 45 calls. 98 texts were for Luke and the rest was just hate texts from some random girls.

How did they even get my number? I was so frustrated that I just threw my phone on the bed and went into the bathroom. I took a shower, by the time I got out it was already 11:18! I walked to my closet looking for my outfit, and finally chose one. I decided to wear a Nirvana T-shirt, ripped jean shorts, with black stockings and white converse.

I was finished putting together my outfit when my mom yelled. "Kyeilaynni A friend from school is hear." I walked down only to see Luke standing in my front door. My face went really pale. You could see that he was crying and worrying all night because his eyes were red, and he had bags under his eyes.

"Can I talk to you? Please?" The way he said it made me sad and want to cry. I signaled him to follow me upstairs. We went into my room and as soon as I shut the door Luke hugged me.

"Why didn't you answer?" "Did I do something to make you sad?" he said on the verge of crying. I wiped the tears of his face and began to talk. "You didn't do anything wrong so please don't cry." "It's just that a few things happened at school." I told him. "You know you can tell me anything,

I'm here for you." He said and at that moment I just wanted to cry again. I told Luke everything about what people were doing and saying. The only thing I didn't tell him was that people kept sending me hate texts because I thought he would worry too much. That night I told my mom that Luke was staying the night and she agreed. We both fell asleep in each other’s arms. It was the best thing I've ever felt.
