The Reason Why

You ask me why I do this. Why do I plunge head first into danger not knowing if I'll live to see the next day? Is it because of destiny? Is it to prove myself to those who doubt me? Is it to become something other than some commoner? Is it because I'm the only one I can? Well, the true reason is you. You give me a purpose in life that's impossible to describe with mere words. When I'm by your side, all is right in the world. You have a smile that seems to light up the darkest nights. The way your sapphire eyes sparkle like stars remind me that there is always hope. Knowing the kindness in your heart gives me such warmth motivates me to help others like you have helped me. The mention of your name gives me the will to keep going despite how hard the challenges may be. I might have the triforce of courage, but I'm terrified of losing you. So no matter how intimidating my foes are, they're nothing compared to never seeing you again. Every battle scar I get is just a reminder of my dedication to you. I know I don't have much, but I'm giving it my all. I don't expect you to wait for me. I want you to decide if you will wait without feeling forced to. So, I will continue fighting until my dying breath if it means you'll be safe and happy once more. I've become a hero and you, Zelda, are the reason why.

sunshinebennybear: First, I would like to address the elephant in the room. The author forgets her own character's names. She mixed up Liam for Jace, Harri for Maiya, and Freya for Clary. I love The Mortal Instruments as much as the next fangirl, but I find myself unforgiving about this. Throughout the story there ...

RodRaglin: Sounds like an interesting story, LesAnne. Here are some things you might want to consider when you revise this draft."Show don't tell." You've probably hear this before and wondered what's the difference? Well, the difference is as a writer you're telling your reader what's happening rather than ...

MavisMcQueen: "To Live Again" is a well crafted, highly engaging, heart vibrating tale surrounding our favorite Elven King. Alex Reltin: This is a great story! I love how well you go into detail and emotions of Capri, and Mel. You have amazing dialogue and overall it's just a thrill to read! The only critique I could find is that some of the paragraphs should be separated. For example:-"If Nia would have just let me take the car an...

MelanyFrey: This story is just so realistic and so amazingly written that I felt I was a part of it. It starts off completely ordinary, describing the lives of three young brothers, then slowly shifting the focus on one of them, putting him into the spotlight and following him into this unusual, but yet so r...

Alex Rushmer: This was not what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot Malfoy was always one of the characters that I liked a lot, so I like that a lot of this happens between him and Colette.
