Chapter 1: To break a news

Chapter 1

"Neji, there's an urgent matter I must discuss with you."

The young Hyuga prodigy looked up at his uncle with a calm and thoughtful face.

Hyashi Hyuga was the current head of the most prestigious clan in the Hidden Leaf Village. He must also be a busy man. And while they had been on a much better term in recent years, the times when they could talk had been rare.

Neji was intrigued.

"Yes, Hyashi-sama."

.

.

.

"Come. It may be better for us to talk in a more proper setting." – Hyashi turned and walked away with his hands tucked in his sleeves, expecting his nephew to follow.

Neji went without question. It must be an important business related to the clan. Nothing else would explain the serious complexion the head of clan wore.

But then, could it be related to Hinata-sama? Neji wondered. His mind traced back to the last time he met his shy cousin, and realized it was only yesterday. Hinata seemed fine. Nothing grave should have happened to her.

Neji could only make guesses as he was lead to Hyashi's private office. There he was beckoned to sit on a tatami mat, directly face-to-face with the head of the Hyuga.

Neji took his seat quietly, eyes not missing a single of the senior man's movements and expressions, before the door slid shut behind him

Author's note.

Thank you for showing interest in this story :) As you know, this story features Neji as the main character and hero. Personally, I find (*SPOILERS) Neji's death one of the most needless deaths in anime and manga history. It broke fans' hearts all across the world. Moreover, it seems that Kishimoto-sensei did it simply for the sake of having more character deaths. I wanted to see more Neji, that's why this story is born.

263Adder: Okay so I adore this story. I only knocked one star off plot for historical inaccuracies because I'm a bit of a stickler for that. The ending broke my heart though, considering you already changed history couldn't you (SPOILER) change it a bit more and have them together!!!! I want an alternative...

bansodeyari: The story is really wonderful. It has details (sometimes which are not needed). The story is plotted well. It's lengthy though, but worth reading. It is based on realty which normal people face. Overall I loved it. Peace✌️.

bhodges11: I like the concept of the story, but there were things that I felt could use more detail. I like the back stories created, but was left wanting more from parts of the story. I like the cadence of the author's writing style - it was a very easy, enjoyable read. I felt like it ended on, not a cliff...

John Smith: This is what Sci Fi is all about. Reads like early Heinlein. In the style of Space Cadets. No esoteric problems..but good ol blaster and space action with a host of relatable characters

Ethan Hawke Branom: What a story!!!! From beginning to end you didn't want it to stop. Renee is a feisty woman who will stop at nothing to make things right. It is a story that could actually happen, and makes you stop and think of how the world works and how one persons desire can drive them to get what's theirs. M...

Stephen Warner: To start off, I am thoroughly impressed. The writing style is somewhat unique, and the plot seemed to move at a nice and steady pace. However, I was not expecting this to be a vampire book! I am usually not one for novels about vampires, but I was pleasantly surprised! You wrote with such grace a...

nikmariecav: I loved reading this book! I was hooked from the moment I started reading. It took me a day to read the whole thing but I didn't want to stop reading. The way the paragraphs were broken up made it at times hard to read and know what was going on. Other than that I loved the plot and the character...

serginemuzac: This book had me dieing😂😂😂 It was super lit and I was reading it for the whole day. Its really interesting and I couldnt put my phone down until I finished all 22 chapters! Even though the grammer was a bit off (I actually enjoyed it, it made everything funnier) I really liked it.

Joseph Adu: I love the story but the spelling and grammar made me give 4 stars. And also it's too short .I didn't get to know what went on with Jack .I think everyone should read it because it is really interesting and a great time keeper.

Natalie Summers: This book has its twists and turns to keep you invested. I loved the characters and was rooting for them. Their is so much heart in the story that it makes it difficult to put down.
