"Mikey! Mikey! Wake up already, you idiot! I'm going to be late!" I groaned as I tired to removed myself from his grasp. Man, this turtle certainly had me in a death grip.
My lips turned upwards as an idea popped into my head. I quickly grabbed Mikey's face and started to kiss his lips tenderly. I licked his lips slightly, and immediately stopped.
"Ugh, must you do that every morning, Ryle. You are going to kill me." He muttered as he went on top of my and kissed me back. I giggled and unwrapped myself from him. I was starting to feel the beginnings of a blush heat up my cheeks.
"I've been doing for two years now, believe me, it's not going to kill you. Besides, I've got work." He turned so he was facing me completely and I so I faced him.
"I am so lucky to have a girl as amazing as you." He said as he stared at me as I walked through our room. I simply shyly smiled at him and started to pick out clothes for the day.
A simple pair of jeans, a stripped long sleeved shirt, boots, a scarf with trench coat, and a beanie made of yarn seemed fitting for the day. Tomorrow was Christmas after all, it was getting extremely cold in New York City.
"Have I ever told you that I'm proud of you?" Mikey said as I sat down on the queen sized bed next to him. He moved a strand of hair from my face and grasped my hand.
"Not that I know of, why?" I said.
"You survived so much, it only seems right to feel proud of you. You lived a very dark time before we met, I'm just so glad that Raph rescued you that night. Who knows what would've happened if we never met? You always hid from everyone." I smiled sadly as I stared into Mikey's baby blue eyes. They haven't changed in the years that we've known each other.
"Some people are hidden behind pain, bones, or even lies...I was always hiding behind my scars."
"Well then, I'm glad I found you."
