Romeo and Juliet with a Blinny twist

Act III

Outside they were met by the older and therefore kinder and maturer sister of the Greengrass twins, Christina Greengrass.

“Hey Pansy sorry about my sisters,” she apologised pursing her lips with a very friendly tone that surprised Ginny. Her sisters sounded like bitter witches.

“It’s fine, I really couldn’t be bothered with them anymore, sorry if it’s causing you grief,” Pansy replied gratefully but not surprise. She already knew Christina was nice.

“It’s fine, we can still be friends though,” Christina answered.

“Yeah, from what I have heard you are nothing like your sisters,” Ginny replied and Christina laughed in agreement.

“Well I’m not a twin and those two are always trying to out-do each other while working together to cause trouble,” she said chuckling. “It’s mayhem sometimes,” she added then let out a sigh.

“You’re welcome to hang with us if you want,” Ginny replied with a smile.

“Thanks, I’ll think about it but someone has to be their referee though,” Christina joked getting laughter from the other girls.

“We’d better go see you later Christina,” Pansy said. The two of them wave to Christina and leave. Back in the open compartment Astoria and Daphne are complaining.

“I can’t believe that dirty Weasley girl had your bird!” She whined and Daphne nodded pouting like a brat.

“Yeah, Blaise honey you may want to clean his feathers everyone knows that family have fleas,” Daphne added and looked back at Blaise who was putting Shadow carefully into his carrier. The bird was in a joyful mood as he ruffled his feathers.

“Shadow seems fine,” he said with a frown while he shut the carrier door. Daphne shook her head.

“Well you don’t have to see the fleas to know they are there,” she dismissed arrogantly.

“Yeah, I see her scratching all the time, she either has that or an STD!” Astoria snapped agreeing with a scowl. Draco put his hand on his forehead frustrated at their words and Vincent frowned.

“Have you ever thought that she may just be genially scratching an itch though?” As he spoke Daphne’s jaw dropped.

“Oh my gosh, maybe she was!” Daphne gasped in realisation sounding stupid.

“Shut up Daphne!” Astoria interrupted snapping at her sister and got up.

“Drakey can we go for a walk?” Astoria asked Draco who looked at her sheepishly.

“Err yeah I could do with some air,” Draco sighed and got up.

“See you guys later,” Astoria replied snobbishly and left pulling Draco with her. Daphne turned her head towards Blaise.

“Blaisey now you’ve got your bird back, can we go and torment some of the first years?” She asked him childishly.

“Emm,” he began thinking but before he could say anything else, Daphne was dragging him out the door leaving Vincent alone. Seconds later, Christina stepped into the compartment.

“Everyone get out!” Vincent yelled while smirking at Christina. Everyone quickly scuttled out of the room and Vincent gets up and walks slowly to Christina.

“Where’ve you been babe?” He asked her and kissed her cheek.

“Avoiding my sisters,” she replied and shook her head. “They’re getting worse,” she sat down on the red train seat with him.

“Well you can forget them and treasure this moment with me,” he replied playfully and kissed along her neck. In the hallway of the train, Blaise and Daphne were stood talking.

“Can you believe my sister? She’s always trying to one-up me, she thinks that she’s perfect and that she’s got everything, well she’s wrong because she hadn’t got a cute boyfriend,” she commented sounding slightly spoilt, but Blaise’s mind, however, was elsewhere. He is looking in the compartments and Daphne looks at him in confusion. “Blaise? Blaisey are you listening to me?” she tapped him impatiently on the shoulder.

“Huh, sorry Daphne what was that?” He looked back at her snapping out of his thought.

“I was talking about my sister being a show-off, why are you looking in on Weasley girl and her friends?” she asked and Blaise shook his head.

“What? I wasn’t looking in on them...” His speech trailed off and he glances at Ginny laughing again. The sound of it was like music to his ears, forbidden music. Daphne started to get angry and slapped Blaise on the check.

“Ouch!” He yelled and rubbed his cheek. “What was that for?” Daphne looked at him with a raised eyebrow and her arms folded.

“You’re staring at her again! Why?!” She snapped and Blaise shook his head.

“If I’m honest, I don’t know, sorry baby,” he answered and took her hand. “I don’t think we’ve had enough time together,” he raised and dropped his eyebrows and smirked. Daphne looked at their hands together.

“Well, I heard there was an empty cart at the back,” she said and giggled. Blaise laughed evilly and pulled her close to him.

“Shall we?” He asked and Daphne played with his hair. She just happened to have it in her pocket, Blaise thought but wasn’t going to deny her if she agreed.

“Yes we shall,” she replied and they left.
