Peyton left Tig to sit and cuddle with the twins and she went into the kitchen where Gemma was puttering around. "It's not too late to make a big dinner for everyone is it?," Gemma asked Peyton as she put soap in the dishwasher and turned it on. Peyton looked at the clock, it was only 6:00. "Not at all," Peyton replied, "If you want to whip up something, I will give Juice a call and get them all out here." "Sounds good sweetheart," Gemma said, "They are going to be so happy to see Tig. They really need the help. They are all getting worn out with the club and with TM." "It's going to be ok," Peyton said patting Gemma on the back, "I'm going to call Juice."
Peyton walked into her bedroom and sat down on the edge of her bed and dialled Juice's number. "Hey beautiful," Juice said, picking up after the first ring, "You ok?" "Oh yeah," Peyton replied, smiling to herself, "Gemma came over a little while ago and she is on a rampage in the kitchen. You think you and the guys are up for a big dinner at our place in about an hour?" "Have you ever known me or any of the other guys to turn down a meal?" he questioned. She could hear the smile in his voice. "No of course not," Peyton replied, giggling quietly. "We'll be there in a bit," Juice stated, "I love you baby girl." "Love you too," Peyton replied quietly.
After she hung up the phone she walked out to the living room where Tig was sitting on the couch. He was in his glory, cooing at the babies and smiling like an idiot. "Someone's happy," she said as she sat down beside him. "You have no idea sweetheart," he replied looking at her, "It's just amazing to me that these two beautiful babies are the result of such a tough event in all of our lives." "Those two are definitely a miracle," Peyton said, smiling at him, "I'm so happy they are finally here. It felt like the longest 9 months of my life."
Peyton reached over and took Ava from Tig and then leaned into him. Tig wrapped his free arm around her and they sat there quietly just enjoying the moment. She was so happy and so excited to have everyone over.
Peyton looked up when the front door opened and in walked her mom and dad with Evander and Darcy. "Hey mom, dad," Peyton called from the couch, "I didn't know you guys were coming over." Joyce and Dave looked over at her and both their jaws dropped in surprise. "Oh my goodness," Joyce squealed, "Tig, you got released!" "I did," he replied, beaming up at her, "It's great to be out and back at home." Dave walked over and shook Tig's hand. "It's great to see you buddy," Dave exclaimed, "I never got the opportunity, but I just want to say how thankful we are that you helped protect our little girl." "It was no problem," Tig replied, "Peyton's family and I would've done it for any of my family. I don't have a single regret about those few days. I would do it all over again if I had to." "The club is lucky to have someone like you Tig," Dave stated.
Peyton smiled at her father and then stood up and handed Ava to him. He took his sweet granddaughter in one arm and pulled his baby girl into the other and kissed her on the forehead. "How are you feeling sweetheart?" he asked her. "I'm good daddy," she replied, "Just tired and there is a little discomfort where the incision is, but it's nothing I can't handle." "Take it easy sweetheart," Dave replied, "I don't want you to overdo it and hurt yourself." "Dad, I'm ok," Peyton replied, looking up at him and smiling quickly, "Did you and mom want to stay for dinner or have you already eaten?" Dave kissed her forehead softly and then looked down at her. "We were just heading out for dinner," Dave replied, "But having dinner with you sounds even nicer than going out. I'm sure your mother will be ok with it." Peyton beamed at her father and then took off for the kitchen, leaving her father and Tig alone with the babies.
"Gem," Peyton said as she walked into the kitchen, "Two more for dinner. Mom and dad are staying." Joyce looked over at her daughter and then looked back at Gemma. "I don't think anyone is going to starve," Joyce replied eyeing the kitchen counter. Peyton laughed. It looked like the kitchen exploded. There was chicken and steak and multiple different salads being prepared. "Gemma, this isn't necessary," Peyton exclaimed in mock horror, "You aren't feeding a village!" "Peyton, please," Gemma retorted, "You have been around long enough to know that feeding the club is like feeding a small army. I don't believe that I am going overboard." Peyton giggled as she walked up to Gemma and hugged her quickly. "You're the best Gemma," Peyton whispered. "I do what I can sweetheart," Gemma replied before going back to cooking.
The whole club pulled into the driveway at the same time and to Peyton, it sounded like a monstrous explosion outside. She eyed Tig and he disappeared into the kitchen with Gemma and she went outside to greet them. Juice ran over to her and gently pulled her into his arms and kissed her softly. It was like time had stood still. Peyton wrapped her arms around his neck and melted into him. "Hey baby," he whispered after the kiss ended, "How are you feeling?" "A little tired," she replied, "But other than that I'm doing good and so are the babies." He pressed his forehead against Peyton's and kissed her on the nose. "I love you," he whispered before disappearing into the house.
All the guys gave her a hug as they made their way into the house and Jax stopped in front of her. "Thank you Peyton," he said quietly, smiling at her. "For what?" she asked, "I didn't do anything." "You did too," he stated before pulling her in for a hug. Nothing else needed to be said as Peyton wrapped her arms around her best friend. "I'm always here if you need anything Jax," she whispered right before the hollering began inside the house.
Peyton's insides were jumbled up with excitement as Jax looked at the front door and then at her. "What the hell?" he mumbled before he flung open the door and ran inside.
Peyton followed him inside and the sight in front of her was more than she could handle. Tig was on the floor with Juice on top of him, Evander and Darcy were on top of Juice and the rest of the guys were ready to join the doggy pile. "Holy shit!" Jax exclaimed, turning to look at Peyton, "Did you know about this?" "Gemma picked him up from Stockton and they got here a couple hours ago," Peyton replied happily, "I was just as surprised as you guys are. It was nice to have a little time with him before you crazies got here. He had a chance to cuddle with the babies and get to know them. It was special." "God damn," Jax exclaimed, "This is the best part of my day." Peyton laughed quietly to herself as Jax joined in on the fun.
Peyton quietly left the kitchen and made her way to the living room where Tara was sitting holding Harry in her arms. "When did you get here?" Peyton asked smiling at her, "Not that I am not pleased as punch that you are here." "I pulled up just as the explosion of cheers happened in the kitchen," Tara replied smiling back at her. "You don't want to say hi to Tig?" Peyton asked pointing towards the kitchen. "I'll wait till the excitement dies down a bit," she replied, "Besides, I never got to hold this little guy the other night. I thought I would take my opportunity now."
Peyton sat down beside Tara and leaned her head on Tara's shoulder. "They are kind of perfect aren't they?" she questioned. Tara nodded her head in response and smiled down at the sleeping baby. "The Tellers and the Ortizs make beautiful babies," Tara said, giggling quietly. "Yeah they do," Peyton exclaimed, giggling as well. They sat in silence for a couple minutes and then Tara looked up at Peyton with a small smile on her face. "I know something you don't know," Tara said quietly. "What's that?" Peyton asked, raising her eyebrow slightly. "The Tellers are having a girl," Tara whispered.
Peyton's jaw hit the ground and a huge smile spread across her face. "Well holy shit!" Peyton exclaimed quietly, "I didn't think it was possible for the Tellers to produce girls! Oh my gosh Tara! I'm so excited for you guys! Does Jax know?" She nodded her head. "I told him this morning," Tara replied, "But I told him, under no circumstances was he allowed to say anything to you. I wanted to tell you." Peyton squealed and leaned over and hugged her best friend. She couldn't have been any more happy for them.
"What's going on in here?" Jax asked as him and Juice walked into the living room. Peyton and Tara both looked up with smiles plastered on their faces. "Nothing..." Peyton replied hesitantly, "Nothing at all." "Bullshit," Jax replied, grinning at them. "What's going on?" Juice asked as he leaned over the other bassinet and picked up his daughter, "I would like to be filled in." "Juice, you probably won't believe the words that are about to come out of my mouth," Jax stated, looking over at him with an excited smile on his face, "But we are having a baby girl." "No shit!" Juice exclaimed, "I didn't think it was possible. Congratulations!" "Thanks man," Jax replied, "I'm a pretty happy daddy to be. I was over the moon this morning when Tara told me."
Jax sat down on the floor beside Tara and Juice sat down on the couch beside Peyton. Peyton looked around and for once she didn't have a single care in the world and she was ok with that.
A little while later after dinner had been eaten, everyone was sitting out in the backyard catching up and watching the boys play and everyone was carefree.
Chibs stood up on his chair and held his beer in his hand so everyone could see him. "Quiet down for a minute," he called out, "I've got something to say." Peyton and everyone else quieted down and looked up at him and waited for him to continue. "I think I can speak for all of us when I say that this evening was a breath of fresh air," Chibs started, "I can honestly say that tonight I haven't worried about a thing and that hasn't happened in a very long time. I love being apart of this club and I love the family that I am a part of. You all mean so much to me and now we have just added two beautiful babies to the chaos and there is one more on the way. Also, Tig buddy, it's great to have your ugly face back in the mix. We've missed you more than you know. It's been a rough couple years and we've lost quite a few special people, but they will never be forgotten. Opie, Piney, Bobby, we miss you and we love you." He lifted his beer up in the air and everyone followed along and then everyone took a drink.
Peyton quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and she felt Juice's hand resting on her shoulder. "They would love the babies Peyton," Juice said quietly, "I bet they are looking down and celebrating with us right now. It gives me comfort to know that there is a chance that they can see everything that has been going on in our lives." Peyton nodded her head in response unable to speak. As happy as she was, she still missed them so much and there was a part of her heart that ached to have them all back.
