Chuck vs The Game

By chucksarahb

Drama / Romance

REAL NAME

1 March
Chuck was listening in on Sarah and Shaw's conversation in the building opposite. Thanks to the rifle scope, he also had a perfect view. So he heard Sarah reveal her real name to Shaw.

She has got to be kidding me, thought Chuck. She knows him for only three months and she just blurts it out. He was sickened.

He had always thought Sarah had real feelings for him, but obviously he was wrong. He was just fooling himself when he thought someone like her could love him. She played him for a fool all that time. Chuck started to get really angry thinking about this. SHE JUST PLAYED WITH ME! He ignored the men behind him, stood up and left the room. He was heart-broken.

Once outside, he pulled out his phone and called a number he was given some months ago.

''Code Black. Is it ready?" asked Chuck coldly.

"Yes, you can begin the download whenever you are ready," came the response.

''Okay, tonight. My computer," replied Chuck.

"Okay."

Chuck smiled and hung up.

In the meantime, Rafe Gruber had broken into Shaw's room and had Shaw and Sarah at gunpoint. Fortunately, Casey had also arrived at the sniper point and was able to take Gruber out.

Casa Bartowski, Chuck's room

At his computer, Chuck checked his email. The one he was expecting was there. When he opened it, a cascade of images began to flash on the monitor. He kept his eyes focused on the screen until it was finished. When it ended, he was feeling faint, but he now had a smile his face.

Next Morning in Castle - 2 March

Sarah, Shaw and Casey were waiting for Chuck. He sent Beckman and them a message earlier that morning, requesting a meeting at 9:00. They presumed that he must have flashed on something important and were curious as to what it might be.

Suddenly Castle's door opened and Chuck came down the stairs into the conference room.

He looks good this morning, yet something seems different, thought Sarah.

Before she could give it any more thought, General Beckman appeared on the screen.

"What is it Mr Bartowski? Why have you called this meeting?"

Chuck answered casually, "You no longer have a human Intersect General."

263Adder: Okay so I adore this story. I only knocked one star off plot for historical inaccuracies because I'm a bit of a stickler for that. The ending broke my heart though, considering you already changed history couldn't you (SPOILER) change it a bit more and have them together!!!! I want an alternative...

Alex Reltin: This is a great story! I love how well you go into detail and emotions of Capri, and Mel.
