Chapter I - Break This Down
Everyone was happy to see Mal finally break down the barrier for good. Everyone, Auradon residents, VKs, and villains alike, was celebrating what keeps them apart, including Audrey, the daughter of Aurora and Prince Phillip. However, up until this moment, she had been washed up with an intense amount of guilt, as she was the one who inflicted so much pain on her own kingdom.
Regardless, she had high hopes because she knew that her past was well behind her. She danced her cares away when she suddenly bumped into a tall, handsome figure, with a detachable hook for a hand.
“Oh, pardon me, princess,” he said with a smile. “Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Harry, son of Captain Hook.”
Audrey couldn’t help but smile and curtsy. “Princess Audrey Rose, daughter of Aurora and Prince Phillip,” she responded nervously.
“I couldn’t help but notice you from afar. You are so beautiful.” Audrey caressed his hook as he stared into his eyes. “May I have this dance?”
She realized that he was one of the people she originally intended to hurt and was afraid she’d hurt him again. “I can’t,” she uttered. “I was super selfish. I wanted to hurt everybody, including you. I don’t want to hurt you again. I’m sorry.” She tried to walk away, but Harry quickly grabbed her hand.
“Wait,” he reassured. “I know you tried to hurt me, but I don’t think of you any less, even though we just met. You were hurt, lonely, and friendless, and you just wanted to show everyone how you felt.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” Harry embraces her to continue to reassure her.
A smile planted on Audrey’s face. “Then you shall have this dance.”
**********************************************
Harry walks Audrey back to her room for the night.
“Wait a second, aren’t you CJ’s brother?”
“I am.”
“I... didn’t have the best encounter with her.”
“I know. She had this thing where she wanted to be a better villain than our dad. That actually amused me, and the fact that you tried to take over Auradon reminded me of her. You see, Audrey, you’re not like any other princess; you’re a princess with an edge, and I like it.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“I’m really glad you’re around. It’s like you really understand me.”
“I’m glad you’re around too.” Harry and Audrey embrace once again, a little bit longer this time.
“Good night, Harry.”
“Good night, princess,” he whispered as he winked.
Audrey plopped down on her bed but couldn’t seem to get to sleep yet. Her thoughts were still wrapped around Harry like a wrapped birthday present. Thinking about her new possible future with him, she finally rested her eyes and drifted into a deep sleep.
