Chapter 1 :Mystery Unveils

It was January 15, 1864, in a small town in Virginia called Mystic Falls. There was a stately party at the Lightwood’s manor or the mayor’s house. During this party, the Salvatore’s came in the manor as the music started to play. They were well known in this town. There were two Salvatore brothers; one of their names were Damon, he was the older brother of Stefan that was carefree and love to cause trouble, and Stefan was the noble brother that will protect his loved ones at any cost. “Boys behave tonight and try to not break anything tonight as well,” said Lillian Salvatore (Damon and Stefan Salvatore’s mother). Trailing behind her was Giuseppe Salvatore (Damon and Stefan Salvatore’s father). He had a profound facial structure with a high quality of honor and courage. Stefan replied to his mother, “Yes, mother,” with a sweet and noble voice. Damon, on the other hand, replied to his with a more disrespected way, “Don’t worry mother, Stefan and I won’t do anything that we will regret.” As he said that, he dragged Stefan to the refreshments table where their mother glared at them, while she was ushered away to the other side of the manor. The party was crowded by a herd of people. Stefan was talking to Damon, when he discerned the most beautiful girl. There was standing in the back of the room behind several people. She wore a beautiful, midnight, blue, dress, that ran down to her ankles, that was ready to scatter stars on, with long sleeves that’d gone thin and wide, ivory lace rimming the bottom of the sleeves and around the sweetheart neckline. Her hair was as smooth as silk even when she’d moved her head so slightly. She wore a long necklace that was engraved into silver with a red ruby in the center. Stefan gazed onto the girl, until Damon woke him up in his day dream, “Come on little brother, don’t just gape at her go talk to here at least,” encouragingly ushering Stefan to the girl with a amicable tone of voice. Stefan smiled back at Damon, that he left by the wine and liquor, and goes to the girl to make a warm greeting. Stefan said in a kind and strong voice, “Madam, may I have this dance?” The girl turned to face Stefan, she had dark brown eyes filled with life. She shyly smiled at Stefan and looked at her parents to see to have their approval. Her parents nodded and she turned and said, “Yes, you may,” and gave Stefan her hand and Stefan lead them to the dance floor. As they reached the dance floor the music started to play louder as they danced. After the music stopped, they bowed and Stefan lead the girl to the other side of the room as he finally said, “My name is Stefan Salvatore and it was a pleasure to have danced with you.” Giggling silently and smiling at Stefan the girl said, “ my name is Elena Gilbert and the pleasure was all mine.”

Months followed with Stefan and Elena as they talked and met up with each other secretly. It was September the eighth and everyone was getting ready for the Fall Festival. Elena was talking to Caroline Forbes, the police chief's daughter, said “I just think that we need to be ready for the person that is so important that is coming to Mystics Falls.”

“I know how you feel but I just don’t think this person, that you are acting is a king or queen, control our lives maybe if everybody thought that then we wouldn't have to worry about it.”

“Still Elena, what if this person is a she”

“What do mean if this person is a she?”

“You know, if it’s a she then she might take Stefan away from you”

“I’m not worried about Stefan leaving”

“Why?”

“Because I trust him enough that I know that he will not leave me without a good reason to do so.”

Caroline sighed in frustration, while Elena was smiling and walking beside her thinking of Stefan and the party that will be held tonight.

Stefan was in town buying wild flowers for Elena until his best friend Lexi Branson spotted him and sneaked up against a tree. When Stefan came behind the tree, instead of her scaring him, he scared her before she could realized where he was and he said, “What are you doing?” Lexi was shocked that Stefan got the upper hand and said, “Don’t scare me like that.”

“Why? Weren’t you going to scare me”

“Yeah, but that’s not the point”

“What the point then?”

“To be funny”

“That was funny”

“But it’s only funny when I do it”

Stefan rolled his eyes and laughed. Lexi was talking to Stefan, until they got to his house and she said, “Well I will see you at the party I guess”

“Alright see you then”

She walked away from Stefan and back into town, while Stefan was walking to his house.

It was night, Stefan was in front of the Gilbert manor, when he knocked on the door, Mr. Gilbert came to the door and saw him. Mr. Gilbert said in a strong voice, “Stefan, what a fine surprised. You must be here for Elena. Where are my manners, come in come in.” In a sincere and noble voice Stefan said, “Thank you sir,” while he came into the house. Stefan was standing in front of the stairs, when Mr. Gilbert said, “Elena, Stefan is here to take you to the Fall Festival.” Moments later Elena came down the stairs, she wore a beautiful red coral dress with thin long sleeves, on her breast lied a blue starfire necklace with gold that has been engraved. Stefan was stunned by how Elena looked and said, “You look beautiful tonight,” as he offered her his hand. Elena blushed and took his hand and they went to the festival.

When the got to the festival in was voluminous of people surrounding the Lightwood manor. They got inside the manor they talked and drank wine and liquor. They danced and spinned like they were living the last day of their lives, when everyone heard Mr. Lightwood tapping his glass and their silence was like a big sombered cloud came over the room as he said, “May I have your attention please, we have a very special guest with us tonight…

William Elliott Kern: Long story, the plot uncovered midway through the story. From beginning, the story was fast moving. Then dragged on for quite some time.
