The Man with the Blue Eyes

Since the weather in Manhattan had gotten nicer, the children of Manhattan’s elites had decided to gather at the Boathouse in the middle of Central Park for lunch. Blair, the fashion icon who had a closet the size of most houses, was sitting next to a girl with long blonde hair and  striking beauty like no other. Her name was Serena. Serena, Blair’s best friend, is the bad girl of the group who is always pushing the limits. Serena liked traveling all around the world. While, Blair loved shopping any time at any place. Nate and Chuck are some of the most sought after guys in Manhattan, but both of them are known to be a little promiscuous. The two were night owls. They loved partying. Chuck’s father was one of the most powerful men in Manhattan, and he was a bit of a playboy himself. Like father, like son. The group was extremely close, and all of them had been best friends for their entire life. The bond they had was unable to be broken by anyone.

As they were sitting at the table, Blair suggested, “There is nothing going on in the city this weekend, so we should go to my house in the Hamptons for a weekend getaway.” Everyone thought it was a fantastic idea.  Blair viciously pleaded for them to take Chuck’s father’s private jet, but Serena thought it might be better for them to drive. But Chuck and Nate agreed with Blair, so they all headed to the airport to board the jet. It took them less than an hour to make it to Blair’s luxurious summer home in the Hamptons. The stately house was a whopping 14,000 square feet with high ceilings being held up by marble columns. The house seemed as big as the Palace of Versailles. The closets smelt a bit musty in the right wing of the house, so the girls resided in the left wing of the house, while the boys stayed in the right wing.

After everyone freshened up from their draining drive, the girls decided to go to Nick & Toni’s, which was a delicious Italian restaurant. Blair yelled to the left wing of the house, “Chuck! Nate! We are going to Nick & Toni’s would you like to come?” Chuck responded, “No! Nate and I are going to SL East! Would you like to join us after your dinner?” Blair exclaimed, “Yes!”

Blair and Serena arrived at the restaurant, and were seated at a large booth in the back of the restaurant. The girls looked to their right to see a tall, blonde, blue eyed man walk in the front door. His eyes were blue like the ocean. Serena glanced to Blair and whispered, “Do you know who that is?” Serena turned back to look at him and made eye contact with this mystery man. Their eyes locked on one another. He gave her a timid smile, and Serena quickly turned back to Blair. Serena exclaimed to Blair, “His hair and his eyes! His smile and his eyes! His body and his eyes!” Blair couldn’t agree more.

The man was seated at a table on the other side of the restaurant. Serena had to find a way to talk to him. Blair suggested she go to the bathroom to catch his attention. So Serena stood up and strutted to the restroom. Blair watched as the man wearily looked up from his menu. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. Two minutes later, Serena walked back to their table. When Serena sat down, Blair exclaimed, “He couldn’t take his eyes off of you when you got up!” Serena blushed.

When the waiter strolled up to the girl’s table, he arrived with drinks that the girls had not ordered. The waiter explained how the man on the other side of the restaurant with the blonde hair ordered the drinks for them. The girls giggled, then turned to the man and slipped him a smile. He proceeded to wave back.

After the girls drank their drinks, the man stood up and started to walk towards the girls. He greeted them with a vivacious hello. Serena looked as happy as a child in a candy store. She was glowing. He introduced himself as Forest Feder. His voice was music to their ears. He asked Serena if she would like to go to a bar with him. Blair nudged Serena and said, “You have to go! I will just meet you later!” Serena responded with a smile and got up with the man.

Meanwhile, Nate and Chuck were quietly sitting in the back of SL East, which is an elite night club. Nate and Chuck were surrounded by girls. Nate and Chuck were planning on taking Blair and Serena to another place to get a drink when they got there because Nate was tired of the place they were at. So they just waited patiently for their friends to arrive.

Forest and Serena were heading to a small bar that Serena wasn’t familiar with. The two were hitting it off. There was instant connection. They had so much in common! He explained to her how he was strictly raised in a Christian home with powerful and successful parents just like her. The conversation was so intense and deep, and both of them were so caught up in it. It was everything Serena could have ever hoped for. She could see herself eventually marrying this man even though they just met.

Blair met up with Nate and Chuck at SL East. They stayed at the club for about three more hours waiting for Serena. She never showed up. She never called. She never texted them.  Blair was worried, but she didn’t know what to do. Nate and Chuck tried to delicately calm her nerves, but it was hard because they were worried to. Serena ran off all of the time without telling anyone, so Blair knew that she shouldn’t be getting so upset. But Blair had an uncanny feeling about this time. Blair drowned in a sea of sadness because she was afraid that Forest did something to Serena.

All of them went back to the house, and went to bed. When they woke up, Serena was still not there. Serena had disappeared into thin air.

Blair decided to go out and search for her. She looked everywhere, but no sign of Serena anywhere. Blair tried to act nonchalant, but she just couldn’t. She decided to return to the house. When she got back to the house, she turned on the news to find a story about how a car was wrecked, and it was found on the side of the road near the restaurant they were all at. Blair’s heart stopped. “Could that be Serena?” she thought.  The whole situation seemed very ironic. She kept watching to see if she could discover anything else. The police reported that the car was a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. A mercedes was driven by Forest when they pulled away, so that couldn’t be them. But Blair couldn’t alienate the idea that it could possibly be Serena.

Ten days had passed, and Chuck, Nate, and Blair had returned to Manhattan, but still no word from Serena.
