Chapter 1

Rose was throwing a tantrum - again.

Scorpius heard her from upstairs. Merlin, that woman was loud.

He was just wandering mindlessly around the manor, not knowing what to do. He was about to go into the library to try and escape the whines when Rose (think of the devil and she shall appear) grabbed his arm and dragged him into a room.

Once he got over the pain in his arm where Rose had a vice grip on him and he got a good look around the room he was dragged into, he realized he was in the loft above the library.

"What-," Just as Scorpius started speaking, Rose pushed him down onto a chair and pointed a (menacing) finger at him.

"You," Rose said. "Will tell me what I need to know, and you will tell me what I need to know NOW."

"Whoa, whoa," Scorpius raised his hands up as if surrendering. "First, get your finger away from me. Second, what do you need me to tell you?"

"What mud-bloods, purebloods, half-bloods and blood traitors are. I asked Lily, Albus, James, even Uncle Harry and Dad, but they won't tell me!"

Scorpius winced. He understood why his friends and uncles didn't want to explain to Rose what those words meant. You see, Rose can be a little, harsh, let's say, when it comes to discrimination amongst peers. Almost like how Aunt Hermione was about house elves and other creatures.

"Rose-"

"Oh I know what you're going to say!" Rose interrupted. "Don't give me those bloody excuses that I'm too sensitive and I'll blow a fuse."

"Like what you're doing right now?' Scorpius mutter. Rose gave him a withering look and he backed off.

"Alright, I'm sorry. But you're going to have to explain to everybody why you're going to throw a tantrum later. Clear?"

Rose nodded.

Scorpius took a deep breath. "How do I say this?" eh asked himself.

"Basically mud-bloods are what we call muggle-borns but in a meaner way. It means they have dirty blood since their parents aren't wizards or witches. It was a term used in our parents' and grandparents' time to offend muggle-borns before it died out."

Scorpius looked up timidly to peek at Rose. She was just staring at a blank space and motioned for him to continue.

"Pure-bloods are witches and wizards whose parents are wizards and witches and have a pure magical history. Their parents are also most likely to be pure-bloods.

"Half-bloods are people who have one muggle-born or muggle parent and a magical parent whether that parent will be a pureblood or also a half blood. Most purebloods thought they were above half-bloods and mud-bloods because they were – quote unquote – pure. As you should know, mud-bloods were one of the targets of Voldemort when he was still alive since he himself thought that pure-bloods were the only worthy wizards."

Throughout his lesson, Rose wasn't saying a word. Once Scorpius finished, she snapped out of her reverie and – surprise, surprise – started shouting.

"HOW DARE THEY! HOW DARE THEY THINK THAT JUST BECAUSE ONE IS NOT PURE THAT THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF BEING THE WIZARD THEY CAN BE! OH IF I WAS THERE DURING THAT TIME, I WOULD GRAB THE NEAREST MUGGLE HATING WIZARD AND SAY THAT THEY ARE A F***ING A**HOLE THOLE LITTLE BAS-"

Scorpius stopped her before she could express anymore her distain for muggle-haters.

"I get it, you want to kill them. But we are way past those times, and as you can see, no one uses those terms anymore."

Rose nodded and calmed down. Scorpius realized something then frowned.

"How'd you come across those terms anyway?"

Rose blushed them mumbled something. Scorpius looked at her worriedly.

"What did you do?"

"I may or may not have read your journal." Rose confessed. Scorpius' eyes widened in shock be froe he sad,

"WHAT?!" Rose blushed again and kissed his cheek. "Nothing, love you." Then she left the loft in a hurry.

"Bloody hell, that woman." Scorpius muttered. But he smiled and shook his head; he'll deal with her later. So he just left the loft and went to go experience the tantrum Rose was going to pull once no one, again, will tell her what kind* she is.

*By kind I mean pure-blood, half-blood and mud-blood.

I got those meanings from the wiki. Please PM me if I messed up in the explanation and the terms I used like bloody hell and the other cuss words.

I again, don't own Harry Potter. He belongs (along with everything and everyone else) to J.K. Rowling.
