The Legend of the Stars: Equinox

By Zach Halteman (epic146)

Action / Scifi

2; In the streets of Mos Eisley

The dark side of the moon was especially cold that night. Or was it that day? In any case, the darkness made it hard to find only a little bit of hope. The wind was cold in Mos Eisley. People were shuffling slowly through the streets. I lumbered down to the market where I saw a graffiti marking on a building. I couldn’t quite make out what it said, but one word was for sure “Jedi”. So I walked through the market a little more until I arrived at Xid Renarus’ stand.

“Karik! How are you doing?” he asked me. “I’m doing well. Whatcha got?“. He pulled out his display case. “I got different holotable chips and lightsaber crystals. Ten credits each.” He set them down on the table. “What color lightsaber crystals?” I inquired. “I’ve got green, um... purple, black, gray, white, umm..” he shuffled through the crystals. “blue, orange, cyan, yellow, and uh that’s it.” I looked at the crystals. “Hmm... How about the holotables?” He shuffled around his supply. “I have one new table, a refurbished one, and some rickety ones. 80 credits for the new one, eh, 50 for the refurbished and 20 for the rickety one.” I contemplated, but then I gave him 80 credits. “I’ll take the new one.”

nirrmitshah: A truely touching story where you'd be at the edge of your seat for the most time. even though the starting might seem rushed, the story was extremely interesting and entertaining. I think certain parts could be added detailing the Mynds's culture. As well as more details on the Jhanthru history....

Jean Tryon: As a beta, I found this story outstanding!! Plot, grammar, phraseology, etc Rachel gives us it all. She takes the story into the future from where due South ends. She is an exacting and thoughtful author.

Catherine Kopf: Wow! This was a really great story. I really enjoy reading fantasy, so it didn't take long for me to become invested in the book and its characters like Jacob. I really liked your writing style, and it seemed to flow very well. The descriptions that you used for your world were also created n...

kim: This is great! Maybe it could just be a little more specific. One of the keys to great writing is describing things in detail. I think you're off to a great start. I wish you much luck.

borkarprasad: Nicely laid story. Needed a little more ghost and Raven conversations. Initially, Had everyone on suspect list but satisfied by the precision to capture the killer. Waiting for more Raven and Cade adventures.

Nichole P. Conard: The characters are well created and pull you along through the story. The plot is well thought out, with some interesting turns. I was unsure what was going to happen, several times in the story, which is a grand point, as who wants to know they have figured out the story correctly...once they ge...

cassandrab: Delightful SciFi (for a change)! I am not a SciFi fan: mostly the genre is far too dystopic for me. This book (written by a high-school friend) is, on the other hand, generally upbeat. Yes, Earth's future is threatened. But Earth has a chance to plan a response. And (spoiler alert) ultimately win...

re8622: The Last Exodus quickly grabbed my attention. Almost as soon as I started reading the story, I couldn't put it down. I found that the ideas the author put forth were very thought provoking given the turmoil we have seen gradually rise over the last several years. I felt that I could understand th...
