Prologue

"Alpha Jaehyung, our eastern gate is under attack! Word is going around that they're rogues," Said an alpha that ran into the meeting room, breathing heavily as the words quickly left his lips. The lead alpha looked up with wide eyes as he took in the new information, frowning as he quickly thought of something to try and get rid of the uncertain situation.

"Eunwoo, get your best men out there at the eastern gate. Same for you, Jisung-"

"Alpha! Alpha! They got through the western gate! And there's a lot of fire!" Daesung screeched as he ran inside the chamber, trying to catch his breath as leaned against the wall with his hand.

"Jisung, warn everyone to get ready. The rest of you, get the hell out there and fight them, don't let them get any further. Jungsook, go get the luna and get her out of here. I want her protected at all costs," The alpha spoke loudly, yelling orders as he got up to fight against the intruders. He quickly ran out with the rest of the pack members and got to the gates.

As Jungsook ran out to get the luna away from the chaos as soon as possible, the rest of the alphas ran out and quickly divided into several groups to cover the gates. They all shifted into their wolves as they ran, not caring about their clothes.

"I don't know if they have a purpose but I think the rogues are working with the rosea pack. They have been getting rather close during previous huntings." Hyeon howled lowly as he spoke to the alpha, running next to him so they could talk. The alpha nodded as he looked around at the scene in front of him.

The apparent rogues were fighting back with an immense strength, causing great damage against purpura's pack members. The sight was horrifying to see as he saw both rogues and his pack members fall, blood pouring out of the deep scratches left behind by the opponents.

"Hyeon, get to the other side and try to get the rogues away," Growled the alpha, scratching his right paw on the ground before running off. Hyeon running the other way as he was told.

As a rogue came into sight, he bared his teeth and ripped his throat out in anger, the wolf falling to the ground immediately. The alpha huffed out a breath as he scrunched his nose before running to another rogue, doing the same thing. Just as he was about to turn, a rogue attacked him from behind, leaving a nasty scratch on his stomach. He howled out in pain before raising his paw, scratching the rogue's head. As the rogue was distracted, he quickly jumped onto the wolf and sank in his teeth into his neck, the wolf crying out in pain before falling limp on the floor.

"Alpha, it seems more rogues are coming in through the northern gate. What do we do?" A beta had asked him as he ran up to him, trying his hardest to fight against the rogues before getting scratched. The aforementioned wolf howled in pain and fell to the ground, whimpers leaving his lips as blood poured out of the open wound.

"Get your wife and kids and leave. Get them out, together with the others and warn them. Tell them to find a safe spot, even if they have to go through the hyacintho pack," Jaesung growled to the fallen beta, baring his teeth just before attacking the following rogue that tried attacking the alpha.

"But alpha, what about-" "Get the hell out before it's too late, Youngsoo. Make sure Soyeon is safe as well," The alpha growled as he interrupted his beta, his eyes glowing red in anger.

The beta nodded quickly before getting up, running away as the alpha attacked the rogue that tried to follow the beta. He knew it was better to get all his men out of here to keep his pack whole but to keep the rest of his pack safe, especially his mate, he had to keep them here so no rogue could get them. It was certainly a suicide mission but he knew the alphas fighting by his side preferred to keep their mates safe rather than run away now.

"Everyone, I know you want to go back to your mates but you all know better than anyone else that our pack stands to protect our loved ones. Fight until you can't anymore, keep your loved ones in your mind as you fight those rogues. Don't stop until it's over," The alpha howled loudly to his pack members as they continued to fight the rogues, the pack members growling back in return as they kept fighting off the rogues.

Before he could say anything else, a rogue came from his left, bitting into his stomach. Another rogue came from his right side to do the same and before he could try to fight them off, one of them scratched his throat, blood pouring out slowly before howling out in pain as he fell on the ground.

Meanwhile, at the other side of the pack's ground, luna Soyeon tried fighting against Jungsook as she wanted to get to her mate before it was too late.

"L-Let me go! Something is wrong with J-Jaehyung, I-I have to go to him! I have to s-save him!" Soyeon yelled loudly as she continued fighting against Jungsook, tears rolling down her cheeks when she was continuously denied access to her mate.

"Jaehyung told me to get you out of here to get you to a safe-" "Don't give me that bullshit! I need Jae, you know how hard it is living without your mate. And I-I can't raise a kid on my own... not like this." Soyeon said as more tears rolled down her cheeks, looking up at Jungsook as she wiped her tears. Jungsook knew how much their alpha meant to her, especially while being pregnant.

Before she was able to say anything else, she felt a pain in her stomach. More tears rolled down her cheeks as she realized their baby would be coming earlier, probably because of their stressful situation. She screamed out in pain as a contraction hit her, making her fall onto her knees.

"Luna!" Jungsook yelled as he held onto the luna, knowing she was in labor by her distressed smell that quickly filled the room, normally used to keep other alphas out. He picked her up and laid her down on the couch in her living room, covering his nose lightly as the scent was too much for him.

"The doctors are too busy trying to help the others that are fighting so I'll have to help you," Jungsook said softly as he grabbed a blanket to cover up his luna, mostly to try and hide the scent so they wouldn't get any unwanted attention either.

"I want my alpha! Please, please, I beg you.. get Jaehyung now- Argh!" A scream erupted from her throat, immediately cutting off her sentence as another contraction hit her. She held her stomach as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She felt the couch get wet as more pain shot through her stomach.

"I-I.. my water j-just broke," she whispered and bit her lip harshly as she clenched her teeth, trying to ignore the unbearable pain in her stomach.

"Just breathe in and out, I'll try to see if you're ready for birth," Jungsook spoke calmly as he went to lean down so he could check before Soyeon screamed again, indicating she was most likely ready to give birth.

"The baby's coming, now! I can feel the baby coming." She screamed, pain laced in her voice as she tried to breathe in and out. She reached for Jungsook's hand as she looked at him, tears evident in her eyes.

"Go get my alpha, I need him. I-I can't do this a-alone." She whispered out softly as she squeezed his hand, biting her lip while hope made her way into her eyes as the alpha looked at her.

"I don't know, luna... He told me to protect you and keep you safe." He spoke gently as he tried to clean up the mess, as well as make some space for the woman to give birth to her child.

The more they exchanged small talk while trying to get everything ready for the child's birth, the more the luna felt suffocated. She knew something was wrong with her alpha, especially after feeling an agonizing pain as if she was bitten in her stomach.

"J-Jaehyung.. something's w-wrong with h-him. I-I... I think he is dying." She whimpered quietly as she tried to breathe, trying to control her breathing while getting ready to push.

Jungsook nodded his head as a sign to start pushing, a way to keep her occupied so she wouldn't focus too much on her dying alpha. She kept trying to get Jungsook to go get her alpha but each time he would interrupt her to keep pushing. Until eventually, soft cries filled the small room and so, the small baby boy was born.

"M-My baby.." The luna whispered as she tried to catch her breath, her eyes closing now and then. Her energy leaving her body as she felt her connection with her alpha fade slowly, knowing what had happened.

"Luna, how are you feeling? Are you okay?" Jungsook asked in a panicked voice as he saw her weakened body, not knowing what had happened.

"H-He's dead... Jaehyung is dead. T-They killed him..." She whispered while tears fell from her eyes, leaving tear streaks on her cheeks. "My baby.. my Taehyungie.. he will have to-" She coughed and breathed harshly before gulping in another breath. "He won't have any parents..." She breathed out before her eyes closed, the last bit of air leaving her lungs as her body fell completely limp.

The alpha stood there with shock clear in his eyes, holding onto the newborn baby that his luna just gave birth to. He bit his lip as he held onto the luna's baby, pulling the blanket over her body as well as grabbing another blanket to cover the small baby before exiting the small building. He looked around, trying to find a way to leave in this mess. He looked at his left and saw Hyeon fighting right next to the alpha's body that laid on the ground, dead.

Jungsook signed and knew he had to leave now before anyone could get the newborn baby, knowing it held many powers within unbeknownst its own belief. Before running the opposite way, he glanced at Hyeon one more time right before a rogue attacked him from his left, his throat being slit open before falling to the ground, not too far from their alpha. He turned around before anything else could happen, running as fast as he possibly could with the baby in his arms after spraying a scent blocker on himself and the baby, knowing it would protect him at least for the next few hours.

Hours later, he stood in front of a house he knew never to enter but had no choice because of the situation that their pack got into. He breathed out before knocking, waiting patiently for someone to open the door. It didn't take too long before a small lady opened the door, raising her eyebrow as she looked at Jungsook.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" She exclaimed harshly, almost spitting on him as if he was just a piece of garbage. "We had a deal!"

"Jisoo, I know.. believe me, I do. But we have been attacked by rogues and for as far as I can tell, I think I am the only survivor. Including this newborn." He said softly as he held onto the whimpering child, shivers coming from the small kid in his arms as the blanket was not enough to give him the needed warmth of his mother.

The baby needed his parents but more importantly, he needed to be fed and Jungsook knew he couldn't provide it without a little bit of help so the only thing he could think of was a little help from an old friend because what happened at the pack not even 3 hours ago, was very unexpected, although expected because of various meetings regarding this event, and he was not at all prepared for what he was about to be faced with.

Jisoo let out a sigh before nodding her head, opening the door wider to let the 2 survivors enter. She closed the door afterward before walking up to Jungsook to check on the baby, pulling the blanket away from its face.

"Go to the kitchen and ask Younghee for some warm milk to feed the kid. Afterward, you come to the garden and we'll talk about this." Jisoo said strictly before walking away, leaving Jungsook and the baby alone in the hall.

Not waiting a second longer, he made his way into the kitchen and did as he was told. Feeding the small child who had no clue what just happened to his parents.
