Chapter 1
I was getting dressed to go for a morning jog when Jane, my bestfriend since we were pups, called me, "Rosiana, please help me!"
"Jane?! Whats going on!! Where are you!" I can't help but think that someone is trying to kill her because my parents was murdered and the killer is still out there he could be targeting me. Trying to get to me for what my parents did to him but the problem is that I do not know what my parents did to him so I can't negotiate with him to leave my friends and family alone for whatever he wants.
"Rose please help!! I am in the forest! I-I think I am close to the-- Ahh!" I keep yelling her name and asking where she is but she's not answering. I was just about to call 911 when she burst into laughter. "Whaahahaha!!! Happy April fools!!" I didn't think it was funny at all. I just kept quiet. She knew that my parents were killed and that I hate April fools. "Rose? A-are you there? Hello??" I am so mad at her right now I can't even talk to her.
"How could you do this to me?" I threw my phone at the wall the phone shattered and is in thousands of little pieces. I started to cry. I just can't believe that she would do something like this to me. My wolf, Dawn started to whimper. 'Maybe she forgot about that?' she was a black and white wolf that has turquoise eyes. It is very rare that you find such a wolf like her. 'No she knows what happened.' I was to upset to think about it. I pushed Dawn to the back of my mind. This is so unlike her. She would never do this to me.
I decided to go over to her place and confront her.
I was in my jeep when I saw red and blue lights behind me.
"Are you kidding me?" I looked down to see that I was driving over the speed limit. I pulled over to the side of the road so that the officer can safely walk to my car.
I made sure to take out my driving license and to put it on my dash board. The officer knocked on my window. I started to smell pine and chocolate the smell was very, very strong. I then looked over and was staring at him. I knew that I was staring but I can't look away from him.
My wolf started to howl and I couldn't block her out.
'MATE! MATE! MATE!' She kept on saying it over and over again.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when he knocked on my window again. I rolled it down and it looked like he couldn't stop staring at me.
He shook his head like was trying to get a thought out of his head. "Ma' am do you know what you did wrong?" I looked him in his beautiful green and blue eyes. He was absolutely handsome. He had a medium sharp jaw line and his hair was black as night. He was tall and really muscular.
"Ma'am are you alright?" even his voice is deep and beautiful.
I couldn't get my voice to not sound like I was in the opera.
I tried to speak but I sqeeled instead "Yes(!)"
I bit my lip and I couldn't stop myself to the word that slipped out:
"Mate."
He looked me in my eyes as if he was in shock. He opened his mouth to say something but his radio, on his left shoulder, turned on and he immediately pressed a button on it and turned his back to me. But i could still hear it thanks to my super hearing.
'A very dangerous fugitive has escaped and is armed. He is headed to highway one. I repeat, a very dangerous fugitive has escaped and is armed. He is headed to highway one! All available personnel are required!'
He turned around and looked me dead in the eye as if he was suspecting the man to be me. I looked him in his gorgeous eyes and shrugged asking what the problem is.
He looked around him and back to me.
"Get out of your car and follow me. Now!"
I did as I was told and followed him back to his car. I couldn't help myself but I looked at his ass. Just a second later he turned around because he felt my stare. Every werewolf can sence if someone is staring at them from any direction.
I looked up and met his gaze. He grinned and I felt my nose and ears turn red with embarrassment. Dawn howled in response.
"Get in the passenger side and stay there please. Also where is the keys to your jeep?"
I threw him my jeeps keys and did as he told me to do. I sat in the passenger's side and watch him drive my car a little more to the side of the road.
As soon as he got in the car next to me a gun fired. I ducked down as fast as I could and I felt his hands over my head.
"Shit!" was all he said.
