“So, you wanna get his attention, right?” Jimin asked, munching on his fries.
“Yeah,” Jungkook answered in a small voice. He wanted to get noticed, but, despite their age difference not being that much apart, Taehyung is still like, his teacher-figure. He was almost sure the guy would be crept out by him.
Jimin kept quiet for a while, thinking. “I know,” he finally said, after a while of silence. Jungkook looked up from his half-eaten burger.
“What?” he asked, fiddling with one of Jimin’s fries.
“Put those fries back and I’ll tell you,” Jimin glared at him. Jungkook rolled his eyes, returning the fries and signalling Jimin to continue.
“You should hang out at the library more often, see if he notices you, or not. While waiting for him to notice you, try to think of something cute enough to catch his attention fast,” Jimin said, placing a big bite on his nearly finished burger.
“But, what if he thinks I’m weird for coming to the library so much?” Jungkook asked, scared of giving a bad impression.
It was Jimin who rolled his eyes this time. “Jungkook, no one, literally no one, except for uber-cool pimps, think it’s weird to go to the library. Besides, he’s a librarian, and there will be a ton of kids that go to the library every day, so, I don’t think that it will be that easy for you to actually get noticed,” Jimin said, grimacing.
Jungkook pouted, “Fine. You don’t have to come at me like that.”
Jungkook was sitting at one of the library’s tables, a book about the revolution of art in front of him. He decided to follow Jimin’s advice of hanging out in the library more often, and there he was, occasionally staring at the librarian, Taehyung, who was reading a book himself, with his reading glasses on.
Heck, he looks hot with glasses on, Jungkook thought. Jungkook really wanted to get his attention, but, he was just too shy. He looked around, finding a few other people, around five to six of them, reading their time away.
Jungkook refocused his eyes on his book, before sneaking another glance at Taehyung. Jimin told him to do something cute, but what? His productivity and creativity were dry.
He pressed his lips together, chewing them up a bit, thinking really hard. Then, it clicked. He looked around, checking if people were looking his way or not. When he was sure they weren’t, he carefully took out a piece of scrap art paper from his bag, and drew outlines of a certain bluebird.
When satisfied, he cut the outlines, and separated it from the rest of the scrap. He smiled, it was not exactly perfect, but his effort was not in vain.
He looked up at Taehyung once more, who was immersed in his book, before writing the very first compliments he’d ever write to him,
hi! this is your twitter inbox for this week!
MONDAY| you got me interested, sir ;)
TUESDAY| hi, you look extremely hot in glasses :)))
He giggled. It was not the traditional way of complimenting your crush, but, it was like Jungkook. So, he decided that this would be his cute way of catching Taehyung’s eye.
