Adventure / Action

Chapter 1: Return to the Fire Nation

We were on a ship heading to the Fire Nation. I never saw it, seeing as I was born in the EarthKingdom. I just can't wait! I see that something is bothering Zuko, though. I wish I knew what it was. I walk over to him. "Zuko? What's bothering you?" I asked.

"It's been so long, Zuron. Over three years since I was home. I wonder what's changed. I wonder how I've changed," Zuko said in a worried tone.

"Don't worry so much. Your father will welcome you back. I promise, Zuko," I tried to reassure him to no avail. I walked down to where my sister was sleeping. I got in bed and drifted off to sleep.

The next day, we docked on the mainland of the Fire Nation. Princess Azula led us to her Father's throne room in the palace. Keisha and I waited outside, while Azula took Zuko to meet with their Father. Finally, when Zuko and Azula exited the throne room, Keisha and I were summoned inside. I led Keisha up to the front and we bowed to the Firelord. "What are your names?" Firelord Ozai asked.

"I am Zuron and this is my sister, Keisha," I answered.

"Are you Firebenders?" the Firelord asked.

"We both are," I answered.

"Zuron, Keisha, I heard that the both of you helped Prince Zuko and Princess Azula kill the Avatar. What kind of reward is suitable for you both?" Firelord Ozai asked.

"We do not seek any reward. We followed out of loyalty for our Prince and Princess. We followed out of loyalty to our Nation," I answered.

"You two will be allowed to live in the palace. You both may be needed for future work," Firelord Ozai stated.

"We thank you, my lord," I displayed my gratitude. Then, Firelord Ozai had a guard show us to our rooms.

I had just settled myself into my room. I saw Zuko leave his room with a container in his hand. I followed him until he got to the prison. I assumed that he was going to visit Iroh. I left him to it and went to my room. It sure didn't take long to fall asleep.

genlynne2379: I read the other review of this book and I must say that I disagree with it wholeheartedly. I do not believe the author put the apostrophes in the names just to be unique, but because the characters are supposedly of a different race than humans. They are Anmah. They should have different names a...

debmart6901: I could not put this story down. I stayed up reading when I should have been in bed. could not get enough, could not wait to find how it ended. Great story telling. Great detail. Loved it. The characters were very vivid.

ArgyrisMetaxas: Thrilling story which builds layer ontop of layer. A few mis spellings every few chapters. What I found special was that it took a modern day problem and took it to its logical conclusion and plays this realism with gritting precision. I'm always on edge ready to shout from adrenaline. This is gr...

JWalker: I loved this story from start to finish! It flows at a really nice pace and the story world feels so real. The fight sequences are a treat especially when Isanfyre is training to become a warrior. I found the names really cool and thankfully easy to pronounce. Personally I have always struggled w...

Jason Phang: The author embarked on a path less taken and focussed on the bombers instead of the fighter pilots that usually were considered the stars of the air force. An amazingly written book highlighting the ups and downs of war, the internal turmoil of a high ranking officer getting himself into the thi...

internathunal: I was held captive by your sense of style. I would love to see more from you. I enjoyed this immensely.

re8622: The Last Exodus quickly grabbed my attention. Almost as soon as I started reading the story, I couldn't put it down. I found that the ideas the author put forth were very thought provoking given the turmoil we have seen gradually rise over the last several years. I felt that I could understand th...

I came back not expecting much, just to be drawn into the story and the characters. I would buy this book in real life, as long as another was promised shortly after.

Dina Husseini: It was a great hook. I do not like reading scifi because they end up being like all the rest but this one kept me wanting more.

Erin Crowley: The concept here is really strong, but the execution is definitely lacking. Tenses, grammar, etc are all off, with at least one or more errors per 'Page' on my phone. The writing style is almost broken- sentences move into each other awkwardly, and are filled with an excess of "filler words", lik...

Catherine Kopf: Wow! This was a really great story. I really enjoy reading fantasy, so it didn't take long for me to become invested in the book and its characters like Jacob.
