Thank You..

I know...

"Daiki~" I called out to you as I went to the classroom.

There you were, sitting down on the desk. You had on a loving gaze as you looked outside of the window.

I slowly went my way towards you as quiet as can be in my attempt to scare you. You somehow didn't notice me standing right besides you, you were too focused gazing outside.

I followed to where your gaze was at.

"It's her.." My mind whispered to me as my heart ached.

Your gaze was on your sweet childhood friend who finally got a boyfriend. She looked so happy as she chatted with her boyfriend.

I know...

I took a deep breath and shouted right next to your ears. "DAIKIII!!"

You, in a state of shock fell from the desk and down to the floor.

"Tsk. Hana! Why did you shout right next to my ears!" Daiki shouted as a tick mark started to form on his head.

"It was your fault for not listening! Baka~" I said as I flicked your forehead.

"Ow! What was that for!"

"No reason~" I said as I gave you a sheepish grin.

You clicked your tongue and stood up. "Let's get going." You said as you scratched the back of your head in annoyance.

"Haiii~" I said as I took my bag and followed you.

I know..

As I got home I quickly laid down on my bed as I recalled the memories of us.

I remembered on how I, who was one of your best friend confessed. I remembered how nervous I was confessing to you, how I would play with my fingers and look down to the ground.

But as I heard your "Yes" I quickly looked up and found that the guy who would always have a bored look on his face, blush furiously.

I remembered how happy I felt that I cried tears of joy. Seeing me cry made you worried and you kept asking me if you said anything wrong. After explaining that it was tears of joy, you laughed and then started teasing me.

After we became a couple you would sometimes show me your soft side. How you would know when I felt sad and then you would tease me and I would end up laughing.

But then I remembered on how I knew that you would gaze at your childhood friend. How your eyes would soften even at the mention of her name or how you would act jealous when she was near her boyfriend or how you would run to her as soon as she needed you.

Founding out made me cry in my bed for the whole day. But then as you called me and after finding out I cried from my voice, you directly went straight to my home. You hugged me tightly and whispered sweet words to soothe me.

I found hope in that..

I thought that I could make you forget her..

As we made our way to school you had a solemn look on. As I asked what was wrong you would shrug it off.

News travel fast and I found out that your beloved childhood friend broke up with her boyfriend. And it seems like they broke up because he was caught cheating.

Now I knew why you had that face as we were walking to school.

As we were going home you asked me if we could stop by a park.

My heart started to ache as I thought of possible scenarios.

I followed you to the park where we were headed. My eyes was starting to water but I tried stopping them as I reassured myself that it won't happen.

But I knew that my heart was telling me that it will happen.

As we got to the park you looked at me and bowed your head.
"I'm sorry.." You said as your voice cracked.

Tears started forming my eyes as he said that. And it felt like my heart was being poked with needles.

You then stood straight and what I saw was way worse then breaking up.

You were there trying not to cry but failing nonetheless. Tears were falling down. The you who have always put on a brave face and would never show your tears is crying right in front of me.

It shattered my heart to pieces seeing you like that.

I then quickly wiped my tears with my hands and put on a big grin.

"I know that I could never replace her nor will I ever be her."

I saw you clench your fist.

"But.. Thank you for always being there for me." I continued. I stepped closer to him and hugged him.

I slowly let go of my embrace and softly hit his shoulder.

"Good luck Aomine-kun." I said giving him my best smile.

His eyes widen and he nodded his head. He shortly ruffled my hair as he then began to run leaving me all alone.

"UWAAAAAAAAAAA!!" I wailed as I sat on the cold ground not bothered by the weird looks people gave me.

I then began to remember the memories that I had with him as I cried.

I had already missed how he would hug me in his warm embrace, how he would kiss me as he dropped me home, how he would cheer me up and how he would make me laugh, how he would help me, how...

How he would always be there for me..

"Daiki.. Thank you for everything.." I whispered as I looked up at the sky.
