“Scorpius, you can sleep here.” Ginny stood in one of the many rooms of Grimmauld Place. It was intricate and black, but Scorpius felt so much more at home than he did at the Malfoy Manor. Just as he began unpacking, Lily walked in, leaning in the doorway, her bright hair making the room glow with light.


“Your mental dad is here.” Scorpius laughed and grasped Lily’s hand. Both ran down the stairs grinning.


“Oh, hello, Mr. Malfoy.” Lily seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the look on Draco’s face.


“I think this is wonderful, Scorpius.” Draco said blankly, before apparating. Everyone, all the Weasley-Potters in the kitchen, and the lone Malfoy, burst out laughing, clutching to each other for support. The only other time Draco would act as pleased as that was when Scorpius pulled out a navy blue diamond ring.
