🧸 Tadashi Yamaguchi from Haikyuu!!
I silently sat on the couch wishing somebody were here. My head was hot with fever, and I had already thrown up a few times that day.
I felt like screaming, but I didn't have the energy.
I was slowly falling asleep when I heard a faint knock on the front door.
"Come in-" I yelled, my throat scratching at even the smallest attempt to speak.
The door steadily creaked open, revealing a nervous, freckled Yamaguchi standing there.
Yamaguchi had just confessed to me a few days ago. As I was walking out of school, he chased me screaming my name.
"Y/N!! Wait uuuupppp~!"
My head whipped back to look at the now out-of-breath boy.
"I- oh.. I- I like you, Y/N!" He said between breaths.
I stood back, frazzled.
"I um.." I stuttered.
He put his hands on his knees in an attempt to catch his breath.
"I.. I'm sorry" He sighed.
I felt my face grow red as I stared down at my feet.
The truth is, I had liked Yamaguchi since middle school. I had never gotten the courage to tell him though.
Right as he was about to leave, I stuck my head up.
"I- I like you too.."
He stopped. "You.. do?"
I muttered a small "Yes-" and he quickly took me in his arms and embraced me in a huge hug.
I rested my head on his shoulder, and that's all I really remember.
Ever since, he's been the best boyfriend anybody could ever have. He's been so supportive of me and my wishes, and his cute freckles make it impossible to say no to anything.
Yamaguchi silently closed the door and sat down on the couch next to me.
I sat up and looked at him.
"Why.. did you come here..?" I whispered.
He leaned into me and whined, "I missedd youu~"
I giggled at his whimpers and pecked him softly on the cheek.
His face flushed a bright red and he put his arm around me and tugged me closer to him.
"Are you feeling any better?" He muttered.
I stayed silent for a second before replying, "Not really, but atleast you're here."
He pat my head gently before whispering "I'm sorry baby.. I hope you feel better soon."
I gently rested my head on his shoulder as he softly ran his fingers through my hair.
It might have been the fever, but I swear I heard him whisper a slight "I love you, Y/N."
