Chapter two- apples
Bless the lords above, it was Adrien. He had shiny gold hair, beautiful green eyes and a stunningly elegant face. He looked bored so divinely May almost screamed. He turned to look at her, his piercing green eyes penetrating through her. She looked away, blushing madly, though she could still feel his cold stare boring through her back. Oh my goodness. Adrien Agreste was a god.
After school, May met up with Grace who was as usual petting some sort of Cat. Again. “Hey Grace”. May said grinning wildly. To her suppose Grace simply ignored her. “Uh...Grace..you there?” May asked, waving her hand in front of Grace’s face. “Oh hello. May” Grace replied icily. “Whoa sparky you okay?” Grace looked away, her hand subconsciously petting the cat’s ears, the cat jerked away and licked Its paws, nudging Grace’s hand to continue petting it’s head more instead of the ear. “You ate an apple.” Grace said bitterly. “Yes, I ate an apple.” May agreed. Was Grace mad because May ate an apple for lunch? May could understand Grace getting mad if she abused a cat but eating an apple?? “You ate an apple May! How dare you betray me!!” Cried Grace waving her hands frantically. “Grace grow up it’s just AN apple you hear me?!” May yelled back. “It’s just an apple!” Grace gasped looking outraged. “Just an apple!?” She repeated faintly. “May it’s more than just an apple!” Grace screeched. “That apple could’ve been MY boyfriend!” This was getting out of hand now. “Oh c’mon!” May protested. “It’s just an apple for heaven’s sakes.” Grace crossley stomped her foot. “May the apple you ate was a fine round perfectly red apple! It was perfect to be my boyfriend!” Grace insisted coldly. They glared at each other, their eyes
Piercing the other like daggers piercing through their own heart. “Well then go find another apple then!” May snapped back. “Fine I will!” Grace screamed. “Besides I am going to another school anyway! This is my last day and I wanted to tell you. Until I saw you eat an apple! See you not so soon!” with that Grace stomped off fuming. May felt horrible but at the same time angry with the nonsense they had argued over. With Grace bringing up a stupid subject. But what if it was true that Grace was transferring to another school? If she was then wouldn’t the teacher mention it? There were two possibilities now. Either Grace’s parents decided that she was transferring to another school was classified information and told the teacher not to tell anyone. Or Grace was running away. But Grace’s parents rarely made any information classified… May had a strange yet bad feeling about this…‘no no it’s fine’ she assured herself Grace would be alright. Why was she worried though….it’s not like she had forgiven Grace.
Feeling heavily guilty she met up with her little brother Kage-kun, who was chatting with his stupid dumb friends. “Hey” May said. Kage turned towards her, his face frowned. “Where’s Grace?” He asked. May didn’t answer. “Aha bet she couldn’t stand a chubby girl like you!” Kage said devilishly grinning. “Hn, I’m not chubby in fact you’re the one who is talking since all you do is stuff your big fat face!” May shot back. “Nah your fat he isn’t.” One of the kage’s goons said chuckling. “Mhm, yeah and her face is weird too” Another one chirped in. “Looks like a misshapen egg.” One agreed. “Reese looks at her forehead, it looks like it says ’kill me now only it’s faded.” The big bulky bloke laughed. “You want to die? Well go ahead, no one wants a weird awkward girl like you.” May furiously turned to Kage who was obviously biting his tongue so he didn’t laugh. “You’re just accepting this!?” Kage shrugged lightly. “It’s true though, you’re a misfit.” May clenched her fists fighting the urge to punch his face, instead she just dragged Kage home not minding the fact that his head was bumping into random rocks. He deserved it.
On the lighter note, Grace was right Adrien was with their class. He looked so gorgeous. “Welcome home Kage and May-chan!” Their mother greeted them cheerfully. She hugged Kage-kun and walked away with a smug looking kage-kun who was holding a big fat shiny Loonie. Their Mother simply brushed passed May paying no attention to her. One moment greeting them another moment completely forgetting May’s Existence. “Mother?” May called. Their mother, Karen looked at her blankly. “Yes dear?”
“Do I also get a-” May was suddenly cut off by her mother who had cranked up the music.
’If all of the kings had their queens on the throne

’If only I had a throne for controlling my temper.’ May thought bitterly. ‘If i did then i would pop champagne and raise a toast to my imaginary friends too.’
‘Can’t without me but you wanna but you can’t no no no’
‘I can live without Kage-kun.’ May sighed. ‘But at the same time I suppose I can’t or Mum will go ballistic and end up killing me from drinking so much.’
’Think it’s funny, but honey, can’t run this show on your own
I can feel my body shake, there’s only so much I can take
I’ll show you how a real queen behaves, oh’
‘Hn, I can only take on the fact that my friend ended our friendship and the fact that I have the worst Brother ever.’
’No damsel in distress, don’t need to save me

But if I had one, it’d be bigger than yours’
‘Ah...Breathing Fire wouldn’t that be a dream come true?’ One of May’s thoughts piped in. ‘And I’m not weak, I don’t need a sword but if I did I would probably kill my little brother.’

’I think this time I am dancing alone. Sorry to disagree with you Ava Max but I’m afraid for me, it’s every woman on their own because so far I have no help at all.’

‘Just realized I am arguing with a song that is my favorite. I am so crazy. I’m sorry Ava you are still my favorite singer! For now. Great I’m talking to myself now well thinking. God what went wrong with me?’
Suddenly May’s mum turned off the radio, and enthusiastically strode off. “I’m going to my room!” May called sadly. There came a faint, “Ok” from Karen. May slowly went up the stairs as it creaked and went into her black depressing room. Her room wasn’t exactly what you call ‘neat’, it was mostly just a room with books everywhere, a shelf full of random clothing, a black bed, wooden desk and chair. Not to mention Toy spiders dangling down from the ceiling. May dropped her backpack which was full of textbooks, notebooks, a dictionary et cetera et cetera. She made sure the door was Locked though there really was no point considering the fact that Kage-kun can just pick the lock.
“mAy.” Called a snobby voice. Great just Great.
“Yes Kage?” May called back calmly, though her fits were clenched again, a bitter taste filled her mouth. She knew what was coming. “MAYYYYYYYYYYY THERES CHOCOLATE!!”
“COME OFF IT!” May snapped. “I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME AND I AM NOT GOING TO FALL FOR THAT AGAIN!”
“Fineeeeeeeee I will leave you alone.” Kage sighed.
‘That was easy’ May thought. “BUUUT.” ‘Or not’. “GET ME ICE CREAM.” ‘i hope you die in a pit’ “no” May said stiffly. “BUT MOM SAID-” suddenly the room went dead silent. “What’s this? Why are there apples raining from the sky?” Kage asked suddenly. “Tastes good… though…” Kage’s voice began to trail off as he eyed the apples like he was in trance. ‘This isn’t normal.’ May thought as she opened the window. Wind blew towards her as more apples seemed to fall to the ground and roof with a loud thud. “Kage, don’t go out or eat them.” May warned. Kage didn’t answer, he was still looking at the apples with wonder and a dark glint in his eyes. “Kage.KAGE! OI STUPID!” Her voice brought Kage back to reality as he shook his head. For once he didn’t protest. “Right...Sorry, The apples just looked so...tempting.” Kage muttered. ‘Since when did he apologize? He always says sorry sarcastically.’ okay something was wrong. But May couldn’t deny that the perfectly rounded green red apples looked so delicious. Something Grace would-May suddenly panicked. ‘Grace, oh no Grace! Raining apples was suspicious, what if the apples contained some poison? Grace loved Apples; she would surely pick one up.’
Mays every brain part was screaming random things now.
Upper Side of the brain: WHO KNOWS WHAT THOSE APPLES CONTAIN? WHAT IF GRACE PICKS ONE UP AND SHE DIES?!

Middle part of Brain: I want candy.

May fell to the floor accidently tripping on one of her heavy books. And too late, Kage already picked up the apple and bit into it with triumph. Kage suddenly doubled over choking then he calmed down and stood up, left May standing there bewildered. Nothing happened to him?
“May!” A voice called. It was coming from outside, she looked out careful not to get hit by any of the apples. It was her two friends from across the street. Taylor and Swift. They were just standing there, getting hit in the head with dozens of apples. ‘How are they not dead yet?’ May wondered curiously. And Taylor was holding a knife?! Shink Faster than May could blink, The Knife that Taylor was holding swooshed past May, barely touching her nose and landed aimlessly on the floor. ‘WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS GOING ON!?’
