TW: MENTIONS OF CHILDHOOD ABUSE

~

The next morning I woke up, still at Kenma’s house. I usually crash at my friends house because things at home aren’t the best.

My parents had always abused me as a child, and the only people that really stuck with me were Kuroo and Kenma. Ever since the age of 12, I’ve basically been living with them, usually swapping houses every week.

As soon as I got up, I grabbed fresh clothes from my bag. Before leaving Kenma’s room, I glanced back to see if he was still sleeping. As usual, he was.

Kenma slept so soundly, his chest slowly falling and rising with every breath he took. Of course, he was cuddling the giant stuffed-animal I bought him a few years ago.

Adorable.

I quickly left his room with my things and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

About 30 minutes after I got out of the shower, I heard the doorbell ring. Kenma and I were playing animal crossing in the living room when it went off.

β€œI’ll get it,” Kenma sighed, standing up. I nodded.

The door creaked open and there was Kuroo, leaning against the door frame.

Damn, he looks so fucking hot from that angle. What the fuck? Shut up [y/n], you’re just being horny.

β€œHey, kitten,” Kuroo smiled, looking down at Kenma.

β€œShut up and don’t call me that. You sound fucking gay when you say that,” Kenma retorted.

I snickered to myself, standing up to greet Kuroo at the door. His eyes lit up when he saw me for some reason. It’s not like I looked any better than I did last night. My hair was still wet, and I was wearing a light pink oversized sweatshirt that was probably about mid-thigh.

β€œHey, Kuroo,” I said to him. β€œHey pretty.” He responded.

β€œUm, excuse me?” I asked, genuinely confused as to what he had just called me.

β€œDon’t forget that we are in a β€˜relationship’, dumbass,” Kuroo laughed. β€œUgh, whatever,” I mumbled to myself, with a small smile on my face.

β€œSo what’s the plan for today?” Kuroo asked, sitting down on the couch. β€œWhatever you guys want to,” I answered, going to sit as well.

I plopped down on the couch next to him and he placed his hand on my thigh.

β€œUm, what the fuck,” I whispered to myself, hoping that he didn’t just hear me.

β€œI literally just reminded you that we are in a fake relationship, [y/n]. We have to get used to being like this so it looks more real in public,” He explained.

β€œOh, right…” I said, getting up off the couch. β€œWe should go into town and get lunch!” I exclaimed, trying to change the subject. Kuroo and Kenma looked at each other.

β€œI’m fine with that,” Kenma replied, before going to turn off his switch. β€œI’ll go get ready, while you boys find somewhere we can eat,” I ordered, while running upstairs.

Back in Kenma’s room, I grabbed my hair tools, makeup, different clothes, and my phone. I shuffled into the bathroom and began to plug in my straightener, while turning music on. I got changed, deciding on ripped jeans and a yellow crop top. I did my hair, and put on light makeup.

As I walked out of the bathroom, I heard Kenma and Kuroo talking about something downstairs.

β€œI don’t know man, this seems like a stupid idea,” I heard Kenma say.

β€œWell it’s not my fault! This is the only plan that will work! Once it ends, she’ll be gone for good,” Kuroo answered back.

I went pale.

Gone for good? There was no way he was talking about me. Right?
