Chapter 1: Intense

Jin parked the car on the street parallel to his house. He was in such a hurry that he didn’t even notice the small pot he had just knocked down while he was running towards the entrance.

Storming inside, almost throwing his leather jacket like a missile through the living room as he dropped his keys on the kitchen barstool, he heard loud moans and bed cracking noises coming from upstairs. He huffed as he frowned and ran a hand through his already messy hair; Jeongguk had disobeyed him, again.

He walked upstairs, purposely stomping his feet as a way of warning the younger about what was to come. The latter apparently thought that was funny, because he could’ve sworn he heard him laugh. Once he was in front of his bedroom door, with the faint and muffled voices now becoming clearer, he sighed one last time and aggressively opened it with a loud thump.

Two girls, now obviously startled, stood half naked on Jeongguk’s bed. The younger was standing, grabbing one of the girl’s head rather harshly by the hair and practically fucking her mouth relentless. The other girl was starting to seduce Jin as she spread her legs invitingly.

“If you’re here to watch then come in and close the door, we’ll split the bill later.”

Jeongguk said without even sparing him a look, too focused on his own pleasure. The older couldn’t believe the audacity that the youngest had with him, as if it meant nothing. He was probably high, he thought.

“Stop it, now.” He ordered in a strict tone.

As he expected, the scene continued to unfold and go further. He heavily sighed, making his irritation evident.

“You have thirty seconds before I end this scene myself.”

“Is that a challenge, hyung?” The younger now glared at him, smiling smugly.

He loved teasing him and getting him riled up for no reason. But Jin wasn’t going to play his game, he had had enough. Taking no more than two steps, he pulled the lady from Jeongguk’s cock and ignoring the whines and complaints, he threw them their clothes and a stack of bills.

“Take it and go. Please don’t ever come here again, and forget about him.”

“No, wait, what the fuck?”

Both girls simply stared astonished at the now angry Jin, hesitating on what to do. The older raised an eyebrow, and that was just enough for them to almost run out of the house. He could be very intimidating if he wanted to.

“Hey!”

Once he heard the front door close and watched the girls walk away through the window, he turned to Jeongguk. The latter was practically fuming at this point, but that never scared Seokjin.

“What the fuck is your problem?!” The raven practically spat out as he clumsily dressed himself.

“Shouldn’t I be asking that?” The younger stood still, a bit shocked by the sudden raise of tone. “Didn’t you think I’d be fucking worried at you not coming back home and ignoring my texts? And don’t try and lie to me, because- what the fuck is that bruised lip?”

Jeongguk’s eyes widened as he quickly turned his head away from him.

“I fell-”

You got into a fight.” The blond interrupted. He clicked his tongue as he frowned at him and ran his hands through his black locks.

“God, why are you so insistent?”

“Because I care about you, dumbass! Can’t believe you’d ask me this at this point!”

Jeongguk was a bit impressed at the sudden confession. It’s not as if he didn’t already know, but it was always shocking for him to hear that out loud. He blinked a few times before answering.

“Fine. You want to hear it? Alright then, yes! I got into a fight.” He laughed humorlessly as the older waited for him to go on. “And shit, he got me good. One more punch and I could’ve collapsed right there. But Taehyung, holy shit Taehyung!” He laughed louder as he clapped at the blurry memory.

“Tae was there too?” The older started to worry. Whenever those two got together, it usually meant trouble. Jeongguk nodded.

“Of course. Hell, you should’ve seen his upper cut! That motherfucker really has good boxing skills. In fact, you should come to one of his matches one day, I bet you’re gonna l-”

“You could have died.” He interrupted his rambling.

“W-what?” The state he was in was of no help for him to fully understand Seokjin’s words.

“You could have died, Jeongguk.” The older took a few steps closer to the raven, who seemed to hesitate.

“Well, but I didn’t. I’m here after all.”

“Shut the fuck up.”

“Go away!” He screamed when the blond held him in a tight hug.

He could feel the younger moving and punching his chest, trying to push him away. But he was older, and stronger than him. Jeongguk started hyperventilating and sobbing into his chest when he easily got tired. He was still hungover and high from last night.

“Ggukie.” Jin whispered into his hair. He always called him that when they were kids. “I can’t do this by myself.”

The raven hitched his breath at the broken voice of the older. He didn’t know why he was crying, but he felt his insides break even more.

“I know you’re hurting, and I’m always... I’m here for you, but you don’t let yourself be helped, and I don’t know what to do anymore.” He felt his eyes get glassy, but he shook the feeling away. “I don’t know what to do.”

Silence filled the room only broken by sniffs and sobs. Jeongguk’s breathing was starting to regulate now that Jin was slightly rocking him.

“Hyung.” The younger said bitterly, to which he only nodded in response. “I wish... I wish you would have never picked me up.”

The older’s body stiffened at his tough words. He knew Jeongguk didn’t mean it, he knew what he was referring to, and he knew he was still aching. But that, still, hurt him like knives.

“Don’t say that.”

“I wish you would have let me bleed out to death that day at the park.”

Jin reacted rather quick. He stopped Jeongguk’s hysteric giggles when he covered his mouth with his hand and cornered him against the wall. The younger didn’t even react.

“I love you.” Jeongguk’s eyes started to fill with tears, which only made it harder for his hyung to stay calm. “Stop fucking pushing me away. You know you don’t mean it, and I promised I’ll always be here. So stop, breathe.” He slowly removed his hand as the younger silently shed tears. He hissed at the sight and walked towards the door.

“You and I. We are gonna get through this. I don’t know how yet, and you got to stop being an asshole because this is not yourself.” He stared deep into his eyes. “But I promise... I’ll give back your smile.”
