Malfoy, Draco Malfoy

Normality (D.M)

Draco’s POV

I sighed as Kayla walked away.

I turned to Blaise, hoping for some entertainment.

“Damn, Draco’s gone soft for someone. Never thought I’d live to see this day.”

“I am not soft, especially not for someone who decided to leave me.” I only heard 3 words in my head “Draco’s gone soft”

I shook my head as I got up.

As I walked back to the dorms. I heard something someone singing.

Kayla?

I walked in and followed the voice. It was angelic, and I listened as it slowly quieted.

“Draco? Is that you?”

I stayed silent, hoping she wouldn’t walk out.

She stayed inside for a few minutes then I heard steps. I quickly scrambled to go inside my personal room and hide. I heard her walking around looking for me. Then they stopped. I heard the hard laminated floor as she walked in and closed the door again.

It was a while before I heard her put on music again.

------

A while had passed with her singing before I decide to make myself known again. I waited until she put a duet song and jumped in.

We used to give each other nicknames

Now we can’t even be out in the same place

I wasn’t gonna stay, but can we just pretend to be friends right now

You used to be my end game

Now you can’t even look at me the same way

I know we’re not okay

But can we just pretend to be friends right now?

She started singing

Don’t cause a scene

Cause everyone’s here and I don’t want to leave

Like last Halloween

Starting all the drama like we’re seventeen

But that was the, this is now

do you still think about all the things we said

I know you love to forget

We used to give each other nicknames

now we can’t even be out in the same place

I wasn’t gonna stay,

But can we just pretend to be friends right now

You used to be my end game

Now you can’t even look at me the same way

I know we’re not okay,

But can we just pretend to be friends right now?

She smiled at me and walked over. All I could focus on was those 3 words Blaise had said, but it all disappeared when she walked. All I could see was her smile, along with all the changed that happened to her from 3rd year.

Her body, the way she had grown curvy, her body looking much more fit as compared to before, her full lips, her glasses that framed her face, her dark brown curls and the way they shined. Her smile, with that slight curl in her lip. It was amazing to see how much Kayla had grown in the span of 4 years. It was all happened too fast.

I now see the faces of 2 girls, one a young 12 year old. The other I am currently seeing, a young adult who had grown into one of the most beautiful woman I have ever set eyes one.

Now I see how fast the time had passed.

.-.-.-.-.

We had been talking about each other for hours. Talking about everything that had happened in those 4 years, the nightmares.

It felt normal, felt like a memory from 3rd year, talking about everything.

But we had both changed, changed for better or worse, not sure yet, but changed, yes.
