I was sitting on the floor with Draco when he started talking about the war then he looked as if he had recalled something.
“Hey, where’s that girl you used to hang out with, a Ravenclaw. Allison, no uh, Alyssa I think, I don’t know”
I stood there remembering my best friend. Remembering her eyes as the life drained out of her. The green light that hit her body. Her falling into my arms as she let out one last breathe.
“She, uh, died in the war.” I could feel tears threatening to spill over.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” I started getting up
“Thank you for this, I’m going to go out.”
He looked at my face as a tear escaped and rolled down my cheek.
I grabbed my sweater that I had laid down and ran out the door.
“Kay-” I cut him off by shutting the door and apparating down to the lake.
I found a small clearing nearby and sat down by a tree.
I felt the tears running down my face as I was flooded by memories of her.
Her contagious smile and laugh, the way she brought me up in hard times. I felt all the pent up emotions let out. I sobbed and cried for a good hour.
I don’t even know what time it was when I felt exhaustion slowly start to creep up on me.
I faintly heard my name before I felt arms looping under me and hauling me up. I couldn’t see clearly but I heard Draco’s voice as I slipped in and out of consciousness.
