I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night

Fred and I first met when we were eleven years old on the boat to hogwarts. I was sitting alone in one of the little boats Hagrid told us to wait in, ready for the giant to give the signal to start paddling when two red headed boys climbed into the boat with me.

“Hi?” I asked, still processing what was happening.

“Hello, I’m Fred and this here is my brother George,” the boy to my right exclaimed, motioning to his twin, “there were no other boats. I hope you don’t mind.” Fred continued, proceeding to make himself comfortable.

“No I-I don-don’t mind-” I stuttered, but before I could say anymore Hagrid gave the signal to start the journey to Hogwarts.

Days turned into weeks, that turned into months, and eventually turned into years. Before I knew it, I was starting my sixth year with the twins. I grew a strong friendship with both boys and in that, feelings for the older one. I let it out in my diary though because I didn’t want to make our relationship complicated. And I was scared of rejection.
