School! Today was the day eleven year old Elise was finally getting ready to go to Hogwarts. Well, get her supplies. Her mom had told her everything about Hogwarts. The classes, the teachers, the quidditch games, the houses, everything. Elise was packing with excitement as she pulled her covers off and slid on her slippers.
She ran downstairs to see her mom making breakfast. Her mom was making her a bacon and egg sandwich. Her favorite. Elise slid one of the chairs out and sat down, "Morning mum."
"Good morning, excited?"
"Super." Elise squealed.
"Come on, eat. Than get ready and we can get going."
The cabinet swung up and sliver plate flew out, landing right in-front of El. The bread flew out of the toaster and landed on her plate, next melted cheese appeared on the bread, egg, and two pieces of bacon. The bottle of ketchup sprung out the fridge, the bottle flipped over and spit out ketchup onto her sandwich. Elise put the last piece of bread on her sandwich and began eating.
When she finished eating, the plate went into the sink and started to wash itself, "Don't you just love magic?" Her mom said. Elise nodded and hugged her mom.
"Go get ready, your outfit is on your bed." Her mom kissed her cheek. Elise ran up the stairs back into her bedroom. Her outfit lay on her bed, her mom had picked out a green jumper with black jeans and white shoes. She quickly got dressed and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
She had done her hair in two little braids with a couple of strands in the front. "I can't wait. I'm so excited!" Elise squealed.
She had ran back to her room and got her small bag with her Hogwarts list. "I'm ready mum!"
Her mom was waiting down the stairs, she had galleons, sickles, and knuts in a little blue bag.
"We are going to use Floo Powder to get there,"
Elise's mom handed her a small amount of Floo Powder, "Now, you are going to say your destination, loud and clear." Elise nodded her head and went into the fireplace. "LEAKY CAULDRON" Elise disappeared in a green flame, when she opened her eyes she saw wizards, old and young sitting at tables talking and eating. The cauldron was dark and shabby, the walls were old brick that had to have over a hundred pictures.
Elise went to look out the big window, she climbed up the brick and smushed her face onto the window. Outside there were muggles, Elise had waved to them but they didn't even look her way. It was as if they couldn't see her or the Leaky Cauldron, their eyes passed the big book shop on the left to the record place on the right.
Elise's mom had appeared behind her, pulling her down from the window, "They can't see you love."
"I figured, I was waving but no one looked at me. Well, expect everyone inside." Elise whispered nervously. The other wizards had looked at her like she was a weird child.
Elise's mom had grabbed her hand and pulled her to a brick wall. Her mom had tapped three times opening an archway onto a cobbled street leading to Diagon Alley.
The space was cramped with all the people there. There were little kids running around, just as excited as Elise. There were stores all around her, 'Quality Quidditch Supplies', 'Slug and Jigger's Apothecary', 'Flourish and Blotts'. So many more stores that Elise couldn't wait to visit.
"You've got your list?" Elise dug in her pocket for her list. She pulled it out and flattened it to reveal everything she needed.

"Let's get your uniform first." Elise and her mom headed down to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. When they entered there were many kids getting fitted for their uniforms.
"Wait here." Elise's mom had told her. Elise stood awkwardly waiting for her mom to come back.
"NOW, I DON'T WANT ANY GOOFING OFF! Am i understood?" A woman shrieked, she was scolding two boys who were laughing to each other. There with four...five other kids and their father. They all had flaming red hair that you could notice anywhere. After the lady, who was rather plump and tired, yelled at them she turned them around and they began walking into Madam Malkins, leaving the other five siblings with their dad.
Elise quickly turned back around, looking for her mom who was nowhere to be seen. Even if she was somewhere, Elise couldn't see due to her height. She kept jumping up, but everyone was blocking her view. "Ugh." El groaned jumping down. She started to walk backwards but accidentally bumped into someone.
Without turning around, she said, "I am so sorry. I didn't see you."
"Well of course you didn't, you were turned around. If you were turned the other way you would have noticed me." A boy laughed, his voice sounded rather young.
He grabbed me and slowly turned me to face him, he a bright smile on his face and his cheeks were dusty. He was one red-headed boys.
"See, now you can see me." She awkwardly laughed.
"I'm sorry, I was trying to find my mum. I can't see her anywhere."
"Mine is with my brother."
"Mine told me to stay put, but I didn't think she would be gone this long."
"Maybe she's looking for you." Elise turned back around to try and see if her mother was looking for her, but she didn't.
"No, I think she may have forgotten about me."
"That happens to me all the time."
"Must be hard for her, having seven children." The boy nodded, he looked back out to his siblings and waved. They all waved back to him and smiled.
"See that tall one, with the pony tail." Elise nodded, "That's my oldest brother Bill, the one next to him is my second oldest brother Charlie, he is alway going on about dragons. I think he plans to move away to Romania after he graduates."
"That's so cool, though dragons scare me."
"The one with the bushy hair, that's my stuck-up brother Percy."
The boy nodded, "He's mr.perfect, never does anything wrong, perfect grades, a big snitch, probably one of mums favorite if you ask me."
"He can't be that bad," Elise laughed. The boy turned to her, "Oh but he can, anyway let's continue. Next is my youngest brother Ron. He's always snacking, sometimes oblivious, but he's tough. My brother and I made him that way with all our pranks. Next is my little sister, Ginny. She can be very shy at first, but give it some time and she can be very tough and competitive, sometimes mean."
"She looks adorable." Elise looked at her, Ginny looked at the boy and gave a little wave.
"Last is my brother and I, we're twins. I'm George and he's Fred. We are the pranksters, stick with us and you'll have a blast everyday. He's not here right now but I can bet he will love you. And that comes to end with the Weasleys."
"We'll George, I'm Elise, Loft." Elise stuck her hand out and the boy shook it.
"So El, do you have any siblings?"
"El! Come on we are going to get your uniform." Elise's mom had said, grabbing El's hand.
"Bye George, maybe i'll see you at Hogwarts?" The boy waved and began to look for his mom and brother.
"Who was that?"
"George Weasley." Elise said as she went into the dressing room.
Madam Malkin came into the dressing room, "Hello love, I'm just going to get you fitted, and then we can get your uniform."
Madam Malkin slipped a long back robe over Elise's head and began pinning it to the right length. "Excited?" Madam Malkin asked.
"Very, I've been waiting for this day forever." Elise answered.
"All done my sweet," Madam Malkin said. Elise turned to her mom and gave a bright smile. "Let's go get the rest of my uniform." She grabbed her moms hand and yanked her out to the dressing room.
Elise picked out the rest of her uniform and paid Madam Malkin five galleons and three sickles.
"Where to next?" Elise asked.
"To get your wand. Come on, let's go to Ollivander's"
Elise followed her mom to Ollivander's. It was a three story building, in the windows you could see the millions of wands. It was dark and shabby on the outside, there were gold letters over the door that read, 'Ollivander's':
As they walked into the shop, a tinkling bell rang somewhere in the depths of the shop. There was a purple cushion near the dusty window that Elise's mom sat on.
"Ah, miss Loft. Here for your first wand, now are you?" A old man spoke softly. The hairs on the back of Elise's neck prickled, as the man stood in-front of her.
"Yes, sir" She replied.
"Well, let's get going shall we?" The man went searching far in the back for a wand that would fit Elise. He returned with a long purple velvet box, he slid it on the desk, "Here, try this. Elm wood, eleven-and-a-half inches with a reasonably supple flexibility. Give it a little flick."
Elise gave the wand a little turn, a light was beginning to form until it blew out. "Hm." Mr. Ollivander snatched the wand out of Elise's hand and began searching for another.
"Ah, try this. Cherry wood with a dragon heartstring core, twelve-and-three-fourths inches and a slightly yielding flexibility." Elise took the wand, but before she could give it a try, Mr. Ollivander spoke, "You know, your father had a similar wand like that, but I sense someone else is now using it's power."
Elise looked straight at him, in shock. She snapped out of it to try her wand but once again Mr. Ollivander snatched the wand out her hand, "This one isn't any good either." He went down below and picked up another box, "THIS! This is the one, I believe it is. Vine wood, with a phoenix feather core, eleven-and-three-fourths inches, quite bendy flexibility." Mr. Ollivander gave the wand to Elise and she looked at him, "Go on."
With one quick turn a light beamed out of the wand, it was a beautiful gold light that shined bright upon the whole shop. "There it is, your wand." Elise looked down at the wand and smiled.
Elise and her mom paid Mr. Ollivander and wished him a good day, they left the shop and went to Flourish and Blotts to get Elise's school books. As Elise entered the bookstore she was astounded by how many books there were and how she couldn't wait to read them all.
"Okay go get your books, I'll be outside. Here is the money you need to pay." Elise's mom had given her the pouch full of money, her mom exited the bookstore. Elise went up the stairs looking for the books was going to need.
Elise had already found three of the seven books she needed, as she was searching for her books she came across a couple of books she would be interested in reading. One book that really interested her is 'Morden Magic' by Mark Montgomery. She grabbed the book from the shelf, she almost fell back as she was pulling the book out.
"Watch out." A voice said from behind her.
"Oh, bloody hell. I'm sorry." Elise apologized as she tripped over her robe.
"It's okay, just watch out." That voice, it was the same voice she heard before. She turned to see a cheeky smile on the red-headed boy. "George! I'm sorry, I really need to watch where i'm going. I can't keep doing this to you." She laughed awkwardly as she patted down her robe.
The red-headed boy stared at her, like he hadn't known who she was or how she knew his name. "George?" She waved her head in-front of the boy. Finally he snapped out of his stare and a smirk appeared on his face.
"Yeah, it's me, George." He laughed.
"Hah, I would hope so, unless you've got someone walking around here with your face."
"Yeah, that would be creepy. So..?"
"Right, El. Sorry."
"No, it's okay. I mean I didn't expect you to remember my name, I mean we only did just meet and it probably wasn't the greatest way to meet, I mean the only reason I know who you are is because you don't see, a lot of red-heads or gingers here." Elise rambled.
"Right, yeah we're just special like that."
Elise laughed at how funny George was being, they stood in silence for a few moments until someone screamed a name, "FRED?!" George's eyes went wide, "Fred!" The voice called again.
"Bloody hell Fred, do you not know how to answer when someone calls your name?"
Fred? Elise turned to look at the boy, he looked exactly like George, red-hair, freckles scattered over his face, scrawny, brown-hazel eyes.
"Oh, hello El. Didn't see you there."
"How do you-what?"
"I see you met Fred." Elise turned to look back at the other boy, who was giving his brother a wide stare.
"Wait, but he said he's George."
"No, he's not George. I-ohh."
"Oh? Oh what?" Elise asked.
"Your pranking her, you were pretending to be me."
"I was, until you came calling my name like mom."
"Sorry mate." George looked back at Elise who was still staring at the two boys, "El, this is my twin brother. Fred."
Elise clapped a hand over her mouth, "YOU'RE HIS TWIN! Bloody hell, that makes sense. I thought I was imagining things."
"I told you I had a twin brother."
"You didn't say identical!" Elise exclaimed.
"We're not identical, I'm the handsome one, can't you see?" Fred said. Elise laughed while George stared at him.
"Have you got your books?" Elise asked the twins.
"No, Fred was supposed to come get them but got distracted." George said.
"Sorry mate, can never turn down a good prank." Fred laughed.
"Well, we should get your books. Come on." Elise clapped her hands.
"Here I got the ones here, you take Fred to get the others." George said. Elise nodded her head and grabbed Fred's robe pulling him to the other books.
"Here, look for them in alphabetical order." Elise had found 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'
She couldn't quite reach them, "Here, I got it." Fred said, he put his books down climbed up to get the book. "Here," He handed the books to Elise and picked up his own, "You know, you and George do have different features."
"Yeah, like what?"
"Well, he has a bumpier nose, you don't. Yours is more flat. Your slightly taller than him too, maybe by an inch or so." Elise said.
"Don't forget, I'm better looking." Elise playfully rolled her eyes and turned the other way, "You can say it." Fred said.
"Shut it." Elise laughed. They made their way back to George who was still searching for his last books. They were laughing at something Fred had said.
"Hi George." Elise said.
"Hey," He mumbled back. Elise had noticed that he was missing 'A Beginners' Guide to Transfiguration' "George, it's right there" Elise pointed to the top left.
"Oh, thank you El." El nodded her gratitude and waited for him to come down so they could pay.
Elise paid first, she took out the money from the pouch her mother had given her and had gotten all eight of her school books with one extra book for her to read. She waited for Fred and George to finish paying so they could go. They said if they spent anymore time in the bookstore there brains would rot.
"Have you guys got everything else for school?" Elise asked the boys.
"Nope." They replied.
"We still need to go to-" Fred spoke first, "Slug and Jigger's Apothecary." George finished his sentence.
"Me too, see you there?"
"Why don't we all go." George said, looking at El.
"I'll ask my mum."
"And we'll ask ours."
Elise made her way to her mom who was talking to someone, he had short brown hair, brown eyes, a few inches taller than Elise's mom. Elise didn't want to interrupt so she waited patiently, hoping that Fred and George hadn't left or forgotten about her.
The man and Elise's mom looked like they were having a serious conversation, something that shouldn't be interrupted, but Elise couldn't possibly wait any longer. Everytime she thought they were some speaking, one of them opened their mouth again.
"Here you are." The two boys appeared at her side with their arms draped around her neck.
"Have you asked?" George asked. Elise pointed to the man and her mom to answer that she hadn't.
"Just go up and ask, worse she could say is no. If she does it's okay, we'll see you in there." Fred said, his arm still around Elise's neck.
"Your right," Elise had finally gotten the courage to ask her mom if she could but before she could the man noticed her, he glared at her and it felt as if someone had took a look at her soul.
Elise's mom noticed the man wasn't looking at her anymore and looked back to see El, her eyes wide and her body shaken.
"Hey, are you ready?" Her moms kind voice brought her back.
"Um... no uh-Fred and George-" She pointed to the boys in the back who waved. "They wanted to know if I could go to Slug and Jigger's Apothecary, since it's the last place I have to go."
"Sure, just meet me at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour" Her mom kissed her head and sent her off with the boys. Her mom had gone back to talking with the strange man, while the man was no longer looking at her, she still couldn't get over his stare.
"El? El are you listening?" The boys asked.
"Oh, sorry. Um, what were you saying?"
"We were saying, how we can't wait to pull some epic pranks at Hogwarts." Fred answered.
"Do you really think that's a great idea? I mean, pranks are fun but not school appropriate."
"Come on Loft, pranks are fun." George laughed.
"Scared we're going to prank you?" Fred asked.
"You better not," She pointed her fingers at the boys. Giving them a strong glare.
"Oo, scary." The boys pretended to be scared cause Elise to laugh.
"What house do you think you'll be in?" Fred asked.
"Um, I think Ravenclaw."
"She's smart." George looked at Fred.
"I like learning, my mother calls me her personal bookworm." The boys laughed and nodded their heads agreeing that she was a bookworm.
"What about you, what house do you think you'll be in?"
"Oh, us?" George looked at Fred, "Most definitely Ravenclaw." Fred said, the boys smirking at each other.
"Most definitely." Elise replied sarcastically.
The group arrived outside of Slug and Jigger's Apothecary. When they entered the shop they looked at all the cool equipment. "Wow." Fred and George said.
"Come on." Elise grabbed the boys by their hands and brought them to the cauldron. "Okay we need a..."
"Pewter, standard size 2." Fred told Elise. She looked at him and smiled, she looked back at the cauldrons searching for the kind she needed.
"Found them!" She looked back at Fred and George, motioning them to get them because she couldn't.
"She needs to grow." Fred whispered to George. "Maybe we'll slip a growth potion in her drink." George snickered.
Elise could hear their plan and hit the back of their heads, "No you will not!" She scolded the boys.
The twins grabbed the cauldrons and followed Elise everywhere she went. She found 3 crystal phials sets, 1 for all of them, 3 small gold telescopes, and 3 gold brass scales.
After they paid for all of their equipment, the boys walked Elise to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. They asked her simple questions, what was her favorite color? (Sage Green), if she had any pets? (No), when her birthday was?(November fourth)
She asked the boys questions too, what their favorite color was?(Fred's is green, while George is purple) do they have any pets? (No, but their brother Ron has a rat) when was their birthday? (April first)
"How many people can tell you guys apart?" Elise asked the twins.
"Not many," replied George. "Not even our own mother can tell us apart at times." Fred said.
"Really?" The boys nodded as they came to a stop. "Well, this is where we say our goodbyes." The boys frowned, as did Elise.
"We'll see you at Hogwarts." The boys hugged her tightly and walked off, "Bye Loft!"
"Bye Weasleys!" She opened the door and saw her mom eating an ice cream sundae.
"Hi mum." Elise smiled as she sat across her mom.
"Have a fun time?" Elise nodded, and began eating some of her moms sundae. "You ready to go home?"
"Yeah." Elise finished her moms sundae, they walked back to the Leaky Cauldron, and used Floo Powder to go back home.
Elise dropped her things on her bed and fall back on her bed, she wanted this next month to go by quicker than you could say hippogriff. She could not wait to go to Hogwarts.
