Up to No Good (a Fred Weasley fanfiction)

"Bella," I turn around to Molly "can I talk to you?"

"Um, yeah. Sure." I said, a bit confused, and went with her into the cozy living room. We both sat on the couch.

"I received an owl from your mother this morning." She paused, "Your mum got a new job."

"That's great." I said. Mum has been looking for a new job that paid higher because we were struggling a little bit

"Bella, it's in America." She told me

"Your mum's new job is in America."

"No. No." My eyes started to tear up at the realization of what that meant "I can't. My friends are here. Fred is here." Molly wrapped me in a hug

"I know. I'm sorry, honey." She consoled me "I wish I could do something but it's not really my place."

"Yeah, I know. Thank you for telling me." I sat up and wiped the tears from my cheeks

"Of course. I'm here if you need anything and Arthur knows as well if you need anything while you are the cup you can talk to him. Okay?" I nodded and hugged her again "Everything will work itself out if it's meant to be."

After a minute I went up to Ginny's room where Hermione and Ginny were

"Hey what happened? Why doesn't look like you were crying?" Hermione asked and ran over to me

"What did my mother say to you?" Ginny asked. I walked over and sat on her bed

"My mum got a new job. In America." I told them

"You can't."

"I know. I don't want to leave. I don't want to leave you guys." Hermione and Ginny hugged me

"Does Fred know?" Ginny asked

"No. I'll wait until he and George are done packing so we can talk alone." They both nodded "I don't know how he's going to take it."

"Knowing my brother, not well." Ginny said

"That's reassuring, Ginny." I told her

"What? I'm not going to lie to you, he's going to be destroyed-"

"I'm destroyed." I cut her off

"I know. I can't imagine how hard this is on you to have just found this out." Hermione said

"Yeah. It sucks. Especially since the school year is starting soon. I'll probably move during the year."

"Hey, let's not think about that right now. Okay? Let's gossip until it's time to tell Fred then after that let's just enjoy the World Cup. Sound good?"

About ten minutes later I hear the twins pass in the hallway. I go out and stop them

"What's wrong, love?" He asked when he saw the look on my face

"I need to talk to you about something." I told him, not making eye contact

"Okay, sure." He said

"Let's go into your room." I said and we walked there and took a seat on his bed. My eyes started to tear up

"Hey, hey, Bella. What's wrong?" He asked and held my hand

"Fred I'm leaving." I said and finally met his eye

"What do you mean? Are you going home? What happened?"

"No... no, Fred, I'm leaving. Like leaving Hogwarts. Leaving my friends. Leaving the country." I paused to try to regroup myself "Leaving you." that regrouping did nothing, as I started crying again and looked down at my lap

"Why?" He asked "Where are you going?"

"America. My mum got a job there." I explained

"When? When are you leaving?" I could tell from his voice that he was very upset

"I don't know yet, Fred." I told him as tears rolled down my face. I looked up to see him trying to not cry. He abruptly threw his arms around me and hugged me really close to him. I felt his unsteady breaths which only made me cry more.

"You could live here with us." He let go of me and I sat up "I'm sure we can find room for you somewhere. And-"

"Fred, I'm not even 15 yet. My family is moving to a different country. It's not that easy to just say I'll live here with you guys." I explained

"You're right. I'm sorry. I just, I can't lose you."

"I know the feeling." I let out a forced laugh

"Bella, Fred, it's time to go." George says as he comes up to the door "Woah, everything okay in here?" Fred nodded his head and grabbed his bag. We left the room and George held me back "You guys alright?"

"No." I whispered, "We'll talk later."
