πππππππ π βΊ closer than you think
βWe can expect a few shooting stars tonight so be sure to take a glance out your window. If you happen to see one donβt hesitate to make a wish.β The voice from her radio stated.
The girl gazed out her window hoping she would be able to see a shooting star. Her wish was a simple wish that any girl with a crush would wish for. A simple βI wish to get closer to Sakusa-Kunβ left the girlβs lips. After making her wish she went to bed.
The next day arrived and Y/n made sure to wake up early and head to school. She wanted to make sure she was there before Sakusa since she planned to give him her love letter. She imagined that as soon as Sakusa walked onto school grounds she would walk up to him and give her letter to him. She had an inch of hope that the cold male would take a small glance and accept the letter. She was being brave, maybe a bit too brave.
As the many students started walking onto school grounds, Y/n patiently waited for a familiar handsome face amongst the crowd. After waiting for what seemed like forever she was able to see him walking with his friend smiling a little.
The girl took deep breaths before walking up to the taller male and extending her two hands holding the letter out to him, causing the male to stop in his tracks. βUmβ¦ this is for you.β
Sakusa looked down at the girl then started walking past her. He muttered a few words that made Y/nβs heart break a little. βI donβt want it.β
The girl stood frozen in the same spot as everyone looked at her, some laughing quietly and some feeling second hand embarrassment. She could feel some tears forming but made sure to hold them as she didnβt want to be even more embarrassed. After everything she started to walk to her class, looking down as she walked. On her way to the classroom she could hear the various comments about her confessing to Sakusa.
βSheβs not even up to his level.β
βHe would never like someone dumb as her.β
βThe embarrassment!β
When she made it to her class she quickly sat down at her desk and put her head down, obviously not wanting to talk to anyone even her two best friends. Speaking of her two best friends they suddenly barged into the classroom looking for Y/n and started pestering the sad girl with questions.
βGirl, did you seriously confess to Sakusa-kun?! Youβre literally the talk of the day.β Her best friend Seulgi started with a small smile on her face as she sat on the desk in front Y/n with her legs crossed.
βY/n-chan! Are you okay bestie? Do you want a hug?β Ryujin said worried about her best friendβs well-being.
All Y/n did was look at the two girls and they both understood she didnβt want to talk about the situation. She just wanted to be left alone for the time being. Her two besties left Y/n alone and went to sit at their desks.
School continued like normal and by the time it was over Y/n was just tired and didnβt feel like doing anything at all. She noted that it was seriously the worst first day ever; she gets rejected by her crush and everyone is making fun of her for the sudden confession.
Y/n decided that she should visit her fatherβs restaurant and get some food that could probably cheer her up. When walking into the restaurant she called for her father but was instead greeted with a familiar voice. βY/n-chan! Youβre finally here, I really wanted to see your face.β
The girl looked up and smiled a little, feeling surprised she saw her childhood friend standing in front of her smiling like a fool. βTsumu-chan! What are you doing here?β
βIsn't it obvious? I came here to see the love of my life.β He winks and goes to hug her tightly not wanting to let go. Y/n hugged him back. They hugged for a bit longer then let each other go.
The two of them have been friends since their childhood. They basically grew up together along with his twin brother, Osamu, but she grew more closer to Atsumu rather than the other but they were all close collectively. Y/n saw them more as brothers while Osamu saw her as his baby sister and Atsumu saw her as a girl. They all planned to go to the same high school but unfortunately they had to go their separate ways.
βSo Y/n-chan are you okay?β
βWhat do you mean Tsumu? Of course Iβm okay. Why wouldnβt I be?β She said while giving an obvious forced smile.
Atsumu just looked at her, not believing that she was βokayβ like she said she was. βI heard that you confessed to Sakusa Kiyoomi. Is that true?β
βI- yes. I did confess to him and he rejected me.β She said, still trying to hold back her tears.
Atsumu went back to hugging her, βItβs okay. You can cry.β He started to comfort the girl as she started to let her tears fall. βI swear I will make him pay for hurting your feelings. You deserve someone so much better.β
After crying she started to wipe her tears and looked around. βWhereβs my dad? Is he even here?β
βHeβs not. I probably should have told you that first. But he went to go check out your new house. We should probably start heading there now, Samu said weβre throwing a housewarming party.β
Y/n nodded and started to leave the restaurant. The two made their way towards the house and saw Osamu, Seulgi, Ryujin, and Y/nβs father. They all greeted each other and entered the house. They were all enjoying themselves and having fun until Atsumu stood up in frustration.
βIβm such an idiot from not being able to protect Y/n-chan from what happened today.β He started hitting his head on the wall. What he didnβt expect was that the house would soon collapse from his head banging.
βTsumu!β His twin brother yelled.
The house suddenly started shaking and breaking down. βHey, is this an earthquake? Thereβs no way something like this would happen from Atsumu banging his head on the wall.β Without thought everyone quickly ran out of the house and watched as the house fell apart. Then they all looked around and saw only that house collapsed. This was the new scoop the media digged into, therefore it ended all over the news.
This was something that Y/n added to her list; got rejected by Sakusa, got made fun of for her confession, and her new home falling apart. It truly was the worst day.
Itβs a good thing they still had that small living space above her fatherβs restaurant where they used to occupy. They would have to live there again for the time being until they could find a new home. The next day would be so embarrassing for Y/n but what could she do?
After arriving back at their old home Y/nβs father got a call which he answered and ended. βY/n one of my childhood friends saw us on the news and is willing to let us live in his house with his family.β
The girl just smiled at her father and went to get ready for bed as it was such a tiring and eventful day. She thought about how the next day would probably be another bad day but she still hoped that it wouldnβt be that bad.
The next morning she got up and got ready. When she left her room she saw her two best friends waiting for her so they could all walk to school together. βHey bestie. Are you ready to go?β
Y/n nodded and they all started to walk to school and as soon as they entered school grounds all they could hear were comments about Y/n losing her house. It was truly embarrassing. She only wished the day would end fast and just like she wished it really did end quickly as if time was on her side.
She made her way to the restaurant and packed her belongings once again as her father specifically told her his friend said they could move in today. It was a surprise how fast they were able to prepare everything for their arrival. When they finally made it to the house they will be living in temporarily Y/n saw a sign that read βSakusa Familyβ. She thought to herself, βThereβs no way this is his home, right?β
After ringing the doorbell they were allowed in and Y/nβs face was in complete shock seeing Sakusa standing right in front of her. She couldnβt believe her eyes. βY/n-chan! Itβs so nice to finally meet you!β The voice of an older woman started with a bright and cheery smile.
βOmi-kun, introduce yourself to them.β
Sakusa bows and introduces himself, βHello, Iβm Sakusa Kiyoomi. Nice to meet you.β Y/n just continued to stare at him in shock and just couldn't believe that she would be living with her crush. She thought that this must be fate because why else would they be living under the same roof.
