Chapter 35

🦋Don't wait for things in your life to change before you feel better. Feel better now and watch the things in your life change.🦋

It was early in the morning. A couple of weeks after he got out of Tokyo's hospital and decided to check up on his mother. He was welcomed by a heartwarming hello and a light laugh from her end.

The conversation continued for a while until a memory popped back up inside of his head
"What was the good news you wanted to tell me?"

"I got in contact with your father,” she said sitting on her bed and looking out the hospital window.

"Huh? What do you mean-"

"Why would you do that?"

"... I wanted to rekindle your relationship with him again... Is there something wrong with that?" Isabella asked with a weak voice. “I don’t know if I’m going to make it through this and I don’t want you to be alone if I... leave. So, while I’m still here, I would like for the both of you to build a bond together...”

Ray stayed quiet on the other line, staring at nothing in particular inside of his dark cold room. He didn't want to tell her about what was going on with him. About all of the things that happened on that night with him almost being murdered and him killing the man in self-defense. Who knew how she would take the information.

She was already weak as it was. The information probably could kill her off right then and there with all the stress piled up on her chest. She didn’t need that right now. She only needed positive thoughts and positive energy around her space.

"Ray... I have to tell you something else... I-"

Ray walked to the kitchen slowly and went to the cabinets above the countertops and searched through them, looking for something specific to help him with his sorrow. He pulled a wine bottle out of his cabinet and popped the top off with ease before gulping down the intoxicating fluids.

"What... what am I going to do?" He asked after placing it down onto the table and grabbed the side of his face with a grimace. "Shit. I have no other choice." He pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "Hey."

"It's been a long time, Ray."

A deep frown made its way on his features as if he had tasted the nastiest thing ever. He scoffed and gripped his phone. "I need something from you."

You quickly covered your mouth and sobbed before quickly making your way out of the room that was occupied by two people in the bed.

You pulled out your phone and dialed Gilda's number only for her to quickly pick up the phone.

"Gilda... we're leaving," you said in a broken voice. Your anxiety was off the roof and your hands couldn’t stop shaking. You got to go.

"Wait what? What happened?" The girl asked on the other line in high alert when she heard you crying. She was still sitting inside of the car while it was running and was patiently waiting for you to arrive back and tell her that everything was fine and that there was just a misunderstanding but... it wasn't going that way.

"He cheated on me," you said quickly moving down the hallway making your way down the stairs. You wanted to get far away from here as quickly as possible. You didn't want to be in their presence. You felt like you were going to throw up just imagining the things that they did inside of his bed.

You can't take this. You wanted to leave, now.

"Wait Y/n! It's not true I didn't do that! It's not what it seems, I promise. Just listen," Ray said while throwing on the dark grey shirt that he slept in.

He quickly made his way behind you and grabbed you once you made it on the first floor. You snatched yourself away from him and tried pushing him, but you failed horribly.

Gilda hung up the phone after asking multiple questions but wasn’t getting any response in return.

"Get off of me. I don't want you touching me," you sobbed trying to get out of his grasp. "I don't want you to be near me. Get the fuck off," you said pulling your arms away from him violently.

"Wait Y/n. I swear it's just a misunderstanding," he said in a frustrated tone while trying to get you to stay still and cooperate with him.

"Misunderstanding?! You were in bed with that fucking bitch," you said growing angry while tears were still pouring down your cheeks. "Ray, I saw it with my two eyes! She was naked and you were in boxers! I see the picture! Any excuse that you have is a fucking lie!" You said trying to yank your wrists away from his.

He had an angry look on his face as he turned his head to the side when he heard footsteps making their way near the both of you. He saw Anna standing still on the staircase with one of his long shirts on to cover her body, having the big tee stop mid-thigh.

"Ray, what are you doing with her. And I'm not a bitch," she snapped looking at you with disgust written on her face.

"You need to leave," he said in a low voice and gritted teeth, looking at her while still holding an iron grip on your wrists.

"No, she can stay. I’m leaving," you yanked your wrists again but he only pulled you in closer towards his body as if he was trying to shield you away from everything that was around you. He looked towards you and then back at Anna.

"Leave, now." You flinched at the tone of his voice, never hearing him sound so angry but you didn't want to be here.

You didn't want to be near him. You didn't want him touching you. You didn't want to hear his voice. Nor did you want to look him in the eyes. You were disgusted and you were betrayed. Your heart was breaking second by second.

It hurts.

The blue-eyed female stood there with a devastating look and grew angry at the fact that he was putting you first before her. When did you get here?! Why was he attached to you?! When did this happen? Why was this happening?!

She didn't even know that the both of you were a thing because she was left in the dark.

Even though Ray ended things with her she thought that she still had a chance of getting him back but... to see you, someone who she once considered a friend being in her place. Replacing her and taking away the man that she loved... She felt like she was stabbed in the heart going through her back.

This wasn't fair. And then it clicked to her.

It all made sense now.

"You... you think that you're innocent Y/n?" She asked looking at you. "You've always had eyes for him. That day, when all of us was at the restaurant. That night he took you shopping," she said while growing emotional.

"You was screwing him behind my back, weren't you? Even when you knew we were together. That's why you have broken up with me? To be with her?" Anna asked looking at him with a hurt look.

Ray scoffed and released his grip slightly on you.

"That's not true and you know it.”

"Anna, don't play the victim! I never even touched Ray while he was with you. Everything that happened between us was after he broke up with you," you said.

"I bet it was on the same day, huh? Maybe the day after? You didn’t care about my feelings. And you knew, but continued to smile in my face like everything was okay," she said looking at you with a look of hatred. A small smirk formed on her face and she made her way near the both of you, only a few feet away.

"But don't worry. We made our way back to each other and we had makeup sex. It is the best sex. He couldn't resist. No wonders why he left you and came crawling back to me-"

"Shut the fuck up. That's not true," Ray growled letting go of you fully and making his way towards her. "You need to fucking leave. This is the last time I'm saying it."

"But isn't it true? Why act like we didn't have sex? You had enjoyed it, I mean you kept moaning-"

Ray quickly grabbed her and yanked her forcing her to leave his apartment. Once he kicked her out it was just the both of you standing there.

You stared at the floor with a hurt look, avoiding eye contact with him. You realized that you were no longer on the phone with the green-haired female which you were thankful for. You didn’t want her to hear this. She continued to send you messages even though your phone was on silent.

"Y/n... please let me explain."

"I... I don't... I can't believe you did this to me..." you said with a broken voice.

He watched you closely with a pained expression unsure of what to do. He wasn't the type of person to handle emotions well but he felt a need to fix this. To fix your relationship. To explain his side of the story.

"Y/n I didn't have sex with her the way you think I did. That wasn't supposed to happen."

You looked up at him quickly with parted lips. So he did have sex with her but why? What good of an excuse could he make up to clarify why he had sex with his ex in his bed. You grew frustrated and started sobbing.

"Why would you do this to me? What the fuck have I done to deserve this, Ray?!"

"Why were you avoiding my calls?! Was it because you were fucking other females?! How long has this been going on?! Why did you do this?! What excuse do you have as to why you had sex with her?!”

Ray stood there quietly as he stared down at his floor with a sad expression on his face. The room was filled with silence. He didn't have anything to say. He didn't know what to say nor did he knew how to word his sentences without making the situation get worse at hand.

"Did you or did you not have sex with her, Ray?!" You asked getting closer to him and looking up at him, looking in his eyes as tears streamed down your heated cheeks. Your body was trembling, your nerves were in shock, and you didn't know how to control your voice.

You were hurt and heartbroken.

"Ray... I love you so much..." you cried as you held onto his shirt. "I tried my best... I wanted you to be happy so ... so why would you do this? This hurts," you said laying your head on his chest and shaking your head slowly as you sobbed.

"Why would you hurt me like this?... What did I do to deserve this... I," you began to hiccup as you held onto him while you're form began to shake. "I love you so much... why?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you," Ray spoke softly as he held you.

Why were you hugging him?

Why are you still here?

After everything... you're still there. You didn't want things to end just like that. You wanted him to tell you why. You wanted to hear his side of the story. You want to convince yourself that you should stay and that there was a reason for all this. But it had to be a twisted sick one.

Tear stains soaked his shirt as you held onto him and he held you tighter.

"I promise I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't know that things would've ended like this... I didn't want you to get involved."

You shook your head and continued to hold onto him. You knew you should've left. You should've left when you had the opportunity but something inside of you just didn't want to let go.

Not yet.

"I'll tell you everything. You just have to calm down," you stayed there silently against his chest and pulled away slowly while wiping your face.

You shook your head and laughed dryly. What excuse was there? There wasn't any.

Ray watched you with a sad look and looked away. "Y/n," he reached out towards you. You smacked his hand away and shook your head again.

"I'm sorry but... I can't do this right now," you pulled completely away and made your way towards the door.

Ray tried to stop you but you managed to escape just in time to make yourself go out of the door and slammed it hard in his face.

He stood there alone in his apartment in the living room and looked towards his kitchen where all of the alcohol and pill bottles were.

He sighs and began to laugh dryly and shook his head before groaning. "Why didn't I see this coming? That bitch..."

“Why can’t I remember anything?” He asked in frustration.

Anna arrived at the door with flushed cheeks and a smile on her face.

Ray held the door open with his usual frown and sigh. "Finally, you made it," he said looking down at her.

She looked up at him with her hands behind her back and she twists from side to side slowly. "Sorry about that, I got caught up in traffic," she said explaining her reasoning. "Are you gonna let me in? Or are we just gonna stand in the doorway like this?"

Ray backed up and held the door open letting the girl come in and closed the door behind her. He gestured for her to walk into the kitchen so they can sit down at the kitchen table and have a proper discussion about illegal activities.

"Instead of us just beating around the bush let's just get into it shall we?" He said dryly sitting up straight in his seat with his sleeping wear on, looking at the ash-blonde hair female with a tired look. "I know that you have ties with the Demons, the gang that runs underground in Tokyo, Anna."

Anna looked the other way but didn't say anything waiting for the man in front of her to continue.

"I want to make a deal with you," he said placing his hands on the table, having his palms flat against the table's surface. "As we both know... my mom has cancer and for this cancer, I heard around that the demons have expensive drugs to help cure it. Did you bring it?"

Anna nodded her head and reached inside of her pocketbook and brought out a small white bottle that was filled with pills.

"Yeah, this is it. I had stolen it to get it for you. It wasn't easy but I was able to seduce one of the bodyguards to get into one of their hideouts and stole three bottles from their warehouse."

Ray's eyes widen slightly and lips parted. "How-"

"Don't worry about it. They have plenty more and I'm sure that two bottles won't catch the eyes of the creators. They create hundreds of them in just one day and ship them off to other countries."

Ray hummed and day still. “Okay... then I’ll get the money,” he scooted out his chair and went upstairs to his room to grab the cash out of his wallet.

By the time he came back she was leaning against the counter and had a drink in hand. “You didn’t tell me that you had champagne.”

He nodded but didn’t say anything. He pulled out the money and handed it to her. “Here,” he said. He grabbed his cup that he filled from earlier and drunk the liquid closing his eyes tightly and cleared his throat.

“No, it’s okay. You can keep the money,” Anna said putting her hand on top of his and pushed it away gently.

She shook her head and raised her eyebrows taking another sip. “I’m just glad that I was able to help you. That’s all...”

Ray felt his body slowly dozing off making him grip onto the countertop to keep himself from falling. “What... what did you do, to me?” He mumbled while looking at her then back to his drink.

The bitch spiked it.

“Ray are you okay? Let me help you to your room, you look like you’re about to faint.” She places her drink down and helped Ray up the stairs taking him to his room.

He fell onto the bed and looked at her through hooded eyes. His body felt weird like he couldn’t move.

She got on top of him and slowly started kissing his lips passionately and went to his neck and gave him love bites.

“Anna what are you...” he moaned softly when she grinds herself onto him making his head fall back. “Stop... get off. Don’t... don’t do that.”

She moved away from his neck and looked into his eyes and smiled. Her face turned from hers to yours. He thought that he was seeing you.

“When did you get here?”

‘You’ ignored his question and slowly lifted your shirt and took off your bra before slipping of your skirt along with your underwear. “I missed you so much.”

He heard your voice. He was seeing you instead of Anna.

After she helped to strip off his clothes, she got protection and placed them on him. She lowered herself onto him making the both of them moan.

“I missed you so much, Ray.”

Ray stood there and his mouth was slightly parted when he remembered what happened.

“She... she drugged me.”
